Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 341: A Slanderous Welcome
"Today, we will be crowning our new King, the leader who guided us through the storm..." Nicolette’s voice rang out, clear and steady, despite the residual tension in the hall. She picked up the jeweled crown, staring intently at Sunny.
Though she was the First Elder, Nicolette didn’t dare demand a being who had faced the Child of Destruction to kneel. Instead, she simply raised the crown and gently placed it upon Sunny’s head, followed by the Queen’s diadem upon Josephine’s.
"Isn’t this moving too fast?" Qin Li whispered to his father, surveying the tense atmosphere.
"With the cataclysm two days ago and the destruction it caused, this haste is necessary," his father, Qin, stated gravely. "The commoners trust him to no end, but the nobles—the powerful ones—are still guarded. We don’t even know if he is truly human."
"I know, Father," Qin Li insisted, meeting his father’s gaze with a frown. "But Mr. Alex—even if he is a demon—would never hurt the Human Kingdom. To me, everyone should just chill and relax. He saved us."
"Due to your and your sister’s influence, our family has already accepted him as a necessary power," Qin conceded.
"But the Xin and Blade families, let alone those three old guards, will be troublesome. They thrive on instability."
"Father is right," Qin Wei said, her eyes fixed on Sunny and Josephine. "The only way to sideline these old power brokers is by showing them who the Boss is without using direct, overwhelming force. If you resort to strength, they’ll simply rally opposition and fight back as martyrs."
"Okay. What about the Five Elders? Aren’t they helping calm the waters?" Qin Li asked his sister.
Qin Wei sighed, closing her eyes briefly. "Of course, the Elders are helping, but politics is stronger than strength in a long-established Kingdom." She opened her eyes, turning to her brother.
"I’m not saying strength isn’t needed, but in this specific situation, military force is counterproductive; it will only breed resentment. We can only fight them with strategy and influence."
"Can money stop this?" Their mother, a beautiful, middle-aged woman with elegant blonde hair, interjected, staring at the complex dynamics.
"Money is power," Qin stated firmly. "There is nothing it can’t solve. He should at least have some tens of billions in reserves to smooth over the transition."
"Haha! If it’s money, then this is all settled," Qin Li declared, bursting into a relieved laugh, while his sister chuckled softly.
Qin and his wife stared at their children in confusion, not grasping the hidden joke.
’Haha! Mr. Alex spent trillions in one auction! A few tens of billions is just pocket change to stabilize the politics of this whole realm. This is easy,’ Qin Li thought with a confident smile.

"What do you think about this rushed coronation?" the Second Elder muttered, leaning in toward the three other Elders surrounding him.
"Nothing," the Third Elder muttered, her gaze sweeping over the crowd. "It’s better he is the one taking the throne. What will happen to us if the Wendigos or Elves take control? At least, he will genuinely care for his people. Most people here are genuinely happy; the few who aren’t... that’s their problem."
A nervous guard rushed toward their table, his face pale, and whispered urgently to the Second Elder.
"What?!"
The Elders let out a low, collective gasp of shock, moving their horrified gazes around the hall.
"This is bad! What are we going to do?!" the Fifth Elder asked, her color completely drained.
"Stay calm," the Second Elder quickly commanded, his voice barely a whisper.
"It will take at least two hours for them to reach here. Before then, the First Elder and the King will be finished. We can tell them, but we need a distraction. We need something to stall them. Just relying on time isn’t wise." The Fourth Elder suggested.
"Okay. I know what to do."
The Second Elder closed his eyes and placed his hand on his forehead, initiating a quick skill. After some seconds, he opened his eyes again, his anxiety replaced by grim determination.
"That will keep them busy for the moment."

"Okay, everyone! Let us welcome our new King and Queen!" Nicolette announced with a brilliant smile, gesturing to the guests, who immediately erupted in an enthusiastic round of applause.
Just at that exact moment, the grand doors burst inward. Two men and a woman, covered in mud and dirt, rushed inside, their actions shocking the assembly and drawing frowning sneers from the impeccably dressed nobles.
"My King! My Queen!! We have a problem!" they cried, dropping onto their knees in front of the newly crowned couple.
"What happened?" Nicolette demanded, her eyes narrowing. She had ensured the hall was heavily guarded; their easy entry was a definite sign of internal sabotage, likely orchestrated by the three old guards.
’Gosh, everyone here knew you’d surely try something like this. What cheap plot are you running now?’ she thought with exasperation.
"My King, my Queen! We are farmers from the village closest to the capital, Sunshine Village," the first man explained, tears welling in his eyes. "We are starving! Our village sent us here to beg for your help."
"What happened, tell me," Sunny commanded, nodding for the man to continue, his expression calm and receptive.
"My King, the land got infected, and all our crops died!" the woman added, sobbing. "Some days ago, some people claiming to be members of the Rising Star Mercenary Guild, came and poured foul liquid all over our fields! Now, all our crops and livestock are dead!"
"Insolent!!!"
One of the bald uncles yelled, slamming his palm onto his table, silencing the hall. He turned his venomous gaze directly on Sunny.
"Is this how you plan on ’helping’ the people?! By poisoning their land?! What if they hadn’t discovered it soon, and that poison had killed your citizens? What will you do then?!" he roared, his accusation echoing damningly through the sudden silence.
"This? There isn’t any poison in what we gave the people. Why are these two lying?" Precious muttered in stunned disbelief, her hands clenching.
"The uncles are definitely responsible for this, buying these poor villagers," Elara hissed, her voice low and filled with killing intent. "I will make sure those old fools lose some fingers after this display of slander."
"Should we stop them? This is direct slander against the King’s reputation and his organization," Ethan asked, his face taut with anger. They had worked hard to ensure the villagers had the best aid, and this accusation was a slap in the face.
"No," Elara commanded, holding his gaze steady. "If we intervene, they’ll simply use it against us as a suppression of ’truth.’ We must leave it to the King. I know he has a way to turn this around." She stared intently at the distraught villagers, waiting for Sunny’s move.
