Chapter 343: A God Among Pillars

[Northern region.]

Olivia Falcon, the First Pillar of the Elven Kingdom, watched the destruction of the phantom birds, her heart a knot of frustration. They were fake, yet effective. They had bought the humans time.

"These monsters are so stupid. Can’t they see these birds are fake?" she muttered, the illusionary glamour shimmering subtly around her. She was a master at misdirection, cloaked by a sophisticated Illusion Skill—a skill that had rendered her invisible to every boss monster and even rival Fifth-Order powerhouses.

"The human Kingdom’s Second Elder is truly annoying. His summons already delayed us. Now... I have a feeling we won’t get close to the Capital," she hissed.

"You’re so right about that."

The voice came from above, utterly unexpected. Olivia snapped her head up.

Sunny stood in mid-air, his golden crown glinting, reflecting the dying sun. Beside him floated the Human Kingdom’s living legend, Nicolette Vincent, the First Elder, a true Seventh Order powerhouse.

’How?’ Olivia’s blood ran cold.

’How did he detect me? I was hiding with a complex illusion. Even a Fourth-Order Boss can’t pierce it.’

The chill deepened as she assessed the pair. The Seventh Order was a realm of monsters, a terrifying echelon of power. Any one of them could kill her—a powerful Fourth-Order—instantly. She was already mentally calculating her escape, abandoning the assault for survival.

GRAAAAA!!!

The horde of over a hundred monsters—the weakest a Second Order brute—abruptly ceased their hunt and fixed their primal rage on the two figures hovering above.

"Useless," Nicolette stated, her voice devoid of emotion.

She gave a casual wave of her hand. Not a spell, not a chant, but a dismissal. A blade of pure, blinding Aetheric Light spread out, not with the force of an explosion, but with the cold, precise edge of a guillotine. It cut through every monster, regardless of its Order or physical size, shearing them into symmetrical halves before evaporating.

"Don’t dirty the King’s sight." She slowly lowered her hand, the light receding.

’One wave. One hundred and fifty-four monsters. Gone.’

The display of casual, overwhelming power was a physical blow to Olivia. This was the strength that anchored the Human Kingdom.

"Not bad," Sunny thought, a smirk playing on his lips.

’Nicolette: a powerhouse. A powerful weapon that is now mine. With my help, she will be my strongest...’

"Olivia Falcon. I am sure you don’t remember me," Sunny said, his voice surprisingly gentle, yet carrying an inescapable authority. "We are old friends."

He stretched forth a hand.

"Why don’t I help you remove the curse placed on you by Lester and Lilith?"

As he spoke, he clenched his fist. Olivia’s body seized. Every muscle, every bone, every sinew instantly tightened, locking her in place. The horror was complete.

"You... What are you doing?!" she choked out, fighting for air.

"Of course, I want to set you free." Sunny closed his eyes, his consciousness reaching into a space far beyond the world’s aether, tapping into a nascent, godly divinity.

’The System broke the mark Lilith placed on me. With that same authority—the authority—I can destroy hers.’

He opened his eyes. They glowed faintly, a subtle, golden light, fixed on Olivia.

"Break."

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The shriek that tore from Olivia’s throat was not one of physical pain, but of profound agony, as if her very soul was being ripped from its moorings. It was the sound of a deeply ingrained foreign influence being forcefully incinerated. She collapsed afterward, unconscious.

"She needs to rest. Take her back to the castle, stay back and watch her. Leave the rest of the monsters to me." With a flash, Sunny was gone.

Nicolette descended, her powerful senses still reeling. ’King... remove illusion and curses? Does he have such power?’ She gazed at the unconscious Pillar, a profound new respect forming for her King.

’Why is he so worried about this girl? Even holding the attack on the Wendigos... just for her to survive.’

She gently picked up Olivia and vanished, not as an equal fighting alongside a King, but as a subordinate carrying out a direct, personal order. The shift in her own loyalty was absolute.

[Southern Region.]

Veer, the winged fourth Pillar of the Wendigo Kingdom, and a powerful first Order fighter, was ecstatic, rushing forward.

"Hahaha!! I can see the Capital! Just a little longer!" he roared, stopping high in the air, staring at the monsters.

’The numbers alone will overwhelm them! Hahahaha!! I want to hear them scream!!’

WHOOSH!!

The world blurred, followed by a shockwave of sound, not light.

BOOOOOM!!!

Veer blinked, unable to comprehend the sight, his eyes filled with horror. The hundreds of rushing monsters—his hard work, his deadly wave—were now just shredded pieces. Blood flowed freely, turning the desert sand into a gruesome swamp of flesh and bone.

"What... What happened?!" Veer’s eyes were wide with a terror he hadn’t felt since his youth.

’Who could kill so many, including Third-Order creatures, in milliseconds? The God Wolf? Is this the strength of the legendary Seventh Order or higher?’

"I remember you."

Veer’s gaze shot down. Sunny was sitting casually on the severed, massive head of a colossal Desert Dinosaur, its blood still pooling.

"How come you’re flying when I’m talking to you?"

Sunny’s voice, calm and even, echoed. Before Veer could process the simple question, the Air around him ceased. It did not stop moving; it froze, solidifying into an inescapable cage. His mighty wings were instantly paralyzed. In absolute, crushing horror, Veer plummeted.

"AHHHH!!"

He struck the ground, plunging into the thick, warm blood of the creatures he had commanded and controlled.

"This is much better," Sunny said with a satisfied smile.

’Thanks to the Primordial Stone and my new rank, I can now command the Six Elements: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning, and Darkness. Not only that, but I am completely immune to these elements.’ Sunny tilted his head.

’I wondered why I couldn’t use Elemental Prism’s powers when I became him. I was too weak. Now, the path to the true Elemental God is open.’

"You?!! Aren’t you that guy I met in the lower world, with your daughter!?!!" Veer yelled, spitting blood and gore, pointing a trembling finger at the man who had just dismantled his entire life.

"I speak, you listen," Sunny said calmly.

Veer froze. His hand, stretched forward in defiance, became an inert stone.

"What... What is... This!" he shrieked, pressing his left hand against his right, trying desperately to lower it, but it refused to move.

"Pointing a finger at an Emperor is terrible," Sunny continued, rising slowly. "Even the heavens will get angry at you. In this world, I am both the heaven and the god. And you just pointed your finger at a God."

CRACK!!!

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Veer screamed, the sound lost in the vastness of the desert. He dropped to his knees as the bones in his index finger began to fracture, agonizingly slow, one after the other. It was not a violent break, but a deliberate, controlled destruction.

Sunny stepped off the dinosaur head, walking on thin air as he descended. He stared down at the broken, kneeling man.

"Veer... I won’t kill you. Not yet. You’re still valuable." He stepped a foot above the blood-soaked sand.

"Go back to your Kingdom. Tell the Wendigos to kill one another. Because in two days, I will personally visit your kingdom, and when that happens, none will survive."

He vanished.

BOOM!

The moment Sunny’s presence vanished, the remaining stress on Veer’s hand shattered. The bones in his right arm exploded into countless pieces. He screamed, clutching his ruined limb, kneeling in the gore, his mind forever scarred by the sheer, disdainful power of the man who called himself a God.

[Eastern Region.]

Kelvin, the Second Pillar of the Wendigo Kingdom, and a cautious Third Order powerhouse, stood amidst his controlled monsters. He had wisely stopped controlling them, letting them run wild as a buffer.

"Why am I having a bad feeling all of a sudden?" he muttered.

’My gut feeling is always on point. I need to get out of here.’

Before he could even complete his turn, Sunny materialized directly in front of him. There was no flash, no whoosh, just an instantaneous presence.

"Wow, you’re smart. Smarter than the guy with wings," Sunny said, a faint sneer touching his lips.

’A guy with wings? Veer? Impossible! We are thousands of miles apart! This isn’t speed, it’s not even typical teleportation. He predicted my location and instantly manifested here.’ Kelvin froze, the primal survival instinct of a warrior overriding his fear.

’Who the hell is this?’

"With your strength, you must be the Second Pillar. Kelvin," Sunny confirmed, staring at the motionless man. "Ok then, let me see your resilience."

Kelvin was already a dead man walking, and he knew it. This was not a fight; it was an execution by a being who had transcended his very understanding of the world’s power structure.
