Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 383: Invincible
[Unknown World]
[Some minutes back]
The battlefield was a cacophony of screeching metal and tearing earth.
"What is this?!" The gigantic spider shrieked, staring at the four small people before it. Its twenty legs twitched with agitation, cracking the bedrock beneath its massive bulk.
It looked past the three guardians to the unconscious figure on the boulder, realizing the shift in the atmospheric energy.
"It seems that old man is transferring his powers to his successor! But doing this here! Is he looking down on me!!!" It yelled, its voice reverberating all over the land, shaking the very air in the protectors’ lungs.
The pressure emitting from the creature was suffocating—a mix of ancient malice and raw, unchecked power.
"Shit! This is way beyond our league." Sadie stated, his voice tight. A long sword made of azure primordial energy appeared in his hand, humming with a desperate frequency.
"That doesn’t mean we will back down." Rebecca smirked, though sweat beaded on her forehead. She rubbed her knuckles together, her golden aura flaring to combat the spider’s oppressive intent.
"Ok guys, no matter what happens! That spider shouldn’t reach 100 meters!"
The moment Jenner’s words dropped, the three lunged towards the spider’s heads, their energy flaring up around them like comets streaking across a dark sky. They knew this might be a suicide run, but they initiated their ultimate arts.
Jenner: "Lightning of death!!!"
Rebecca: "Fists of judgement!!"
Sadie: "Swords of retribution!!"
The three activated their strongest attacks. A bolt of crimson lightning, a gargantuan avatar of golden force, and a torrential rain of soul blades converged. In one full force, they struck the spider.
BOOOOOOM!!!!
The impact was cataclysmic. A cloud of dust rose into the air, obscuring the beast. The shockwave forced the three to leap backward, landing defensively in front of Sunny to shield him from the debris.
"That should at least give some damage." Rebecca muttered, shaking her hand, trying to cool the pain of striking something that felt harder than diamond.
"Hehehehe! Great three protectors! You are quite impressive!!"
"....!!"
The three frowned, their hearts sinking. They watched as the smoke cleared, revealing the spider... Only three scratch marks could be seen on the spot their attacks collided. The carapace hadn’t even cracked.
"Impossible! We didn’t even cause sufficient damage!!" Sadie exclaimed, staring at the scratches that were already fading.
"Even a true God will have a hard time fighting me, let only heavens!" The Spider yelled. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
It threw its front legs forward, the massive limbs descending like pillars of doom, planning on crushing them all in one single attack.
"Shit! No amount of defense can block that attack!" Jenner stated with gritted teeth, watching the legs moved closer by the second. The sheer mass alone would flatten a hill.
"And we can’t dodge. If we do that, we’re giving an opening and the attack will kill the new master." Rebecca spat out, her eyes fixed on the spear-like tips of each leg.
They were trapped between duty and survival.
"I don’t give a fuck! But I know one thing!"
Sadie spread out both hands, his eyes burning with a sacrificial blue flame. Thousands of swords appeared all over the place, forming a wall of steel.
"My purpose is to protect the master! If he dies, I don’t have the need to keep on living! So I will gladly give up my life to protect him!!" He yelled, and threw both hands forward.
"GO!!!!"
WHOOSH!!!!
The thousands of swords shot forward, smashing into the incoming attacks. Metal screamed against chitin, but the difference in power was absolute. The legs easily shattered them, turning the legendary soul swords into sparkling dust.
"Fool! You can’t stop me!" The spider hissed at them.
"We will see about that!"
Both Jenner and Rebecca closed their eyes, channeling all their energies into their weapon and fists. They poured their very life force into the attack, and with one forward throw of their hands, a huge amount of Primordial energy shot out, reinforcing the crumbling sword barrier.
"You aren’t going anywhere!!" Jenner yelled with determination, blood trickling from her nose.
"Hehehe!! You can’t win! I am not even taking you ants seriously. But if I delay any longer, he might succeed!!" It yelled.
The central, largest head opened its mouth. The air grew heavy, twisting with void energy.
"This?"
The three were stunned, watching as a spear made of pure black web slowly exited its mouth. It wasn’t just web; it was a condensed law of binding and piercing, darker than the abyss itself.
"DIE!!!"
WHOOSH!!!!!
The spear moved with terrifying speed. It slammed into their combined defense and shattered a hole in the swords’ barrier, not even slowing its momentum.
"No!!"
It was too fast. Before the three protectors could think, the spear flew past them, heading straight towards Sunny’s forehead.
"NOOO!!"
The three screamed in horror, reaching out in vain.
BAM!!!
The sound wasn’t flesh tearing. It was a resonant thud, like a heavy door slamming shut on reality itself.
"....???"
"Huh?!"
Everyone was stunned. Even the spider was speechless, its many eyes blinking in confusion.
’This Aura?! Don’t tell me.’ It thought, its eyes widening in terror as it sensed a shift in the hierarchy of the world.
"No matter where I go, there will always be pest."
Sunny’s voice sounded all over the place. It was calm, indifferent, and carried an absolute authority that brooked no argument.
Instantly, the dark sky cleared. The crimson clouds vanished, and with it, golden rain started falling from the cloudless sky, bathing the battlefield in divine light.
Sunny slowly stared at the spear, which stood frozen mere inches from his face, suspended in mid-air by his will alone. He blinked.
CRACK.
The weapon shattered into countless tiny pieces. Then, responding to the Law of Reality, the fragments bent to his will, transforming into golden swords.
WHOOSH!!!
They all shot towards the Spider with speed much more faster than its own attack.
"This?"
BAM!!!!!
The swords smashed into the spider. Unlike the protectors’ attacks, these blades ignored durability. They easily penetrated three heads, the force of the attacks throwing the massive beast off balance. It crashed into the ground, rising smoke and dust into the air.
Sunny stared at the smoke and slowly stood up on the boulder. His movements were fluid, lacking any of his previous mortal stiffness. He lowered his golden gaze on the three protectors, who were already on their knees, trembling not from fear, but from the sheer density of his presence.
"Greetings to the new Realm Ruler and God of death! We three are your personal guards!!"
They yelled in unison, heads bowed low.
Sunny acknowledged them with a nod. He heard everything they were saying and their dedication—he had heard Sadie’s willingness to die for him even while in the soul sea.
He raised his head to the sky, and instantly, the rain stopped. The weather obeyed him as if it were an extension of his limb.
"As my personal guards, why are you all so weak?" He asked, staring at the three.
His tone wasn’t mocking; it was a genuine query. The three before him were strong, even stronger than a tenth order, but if they’re the protectors under the God of death—a Realm Ruler—they should be catastrophic forces of nature, stronger than this.
"I and Rebecca were dormant for thousands of years, which dropped our powers!" Sadie quickly explained, fearing he had disappointed his new lord.
Sunny stared at them. He could see the degradation in their cores.
He waved his hand.
It was a simple gesture, but reality warped around them. Instantly, a high amount of powers—raw, refined divinity—flowed into the three. Their cores swelled, cracked, and reformed instantly, busting them all into the Saint Class.
"This?"
The three were dumbfounded. They felt their dormant potential unlocking, their energy reserves overflowing past their previous peaks.
"I just replenish your lost strength."
Sunny descended from the Boulder. He lightly stepped on the dead, scorched grass. Where his foot landed, the black soil turned green, instantly brightening up, filled with life.
He looked past them, his eyes locking onto the dust cloud where the spider was recovering.
"Leave this bug to me." Sunny said, walking towards the spider, his arms folded behind him.
