Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 389: Flawless Victory 1
"Sunny?"
"God wolf?"
The two exclaimed in shock, their voices barely rising above a whisper in the sudden silence of the bridge. Hearing their words, Josephine turned around, her eyes widening. The shock wasn’t just from his appearance, but from the sheer impossibility of his return at the very edge of their annihilation.
Sunny stared at her, a hint of surprise on his face. He thought he was gone for only some weeks, but seeing Josephine’s condition—the swell of her belly, the dark circles under her eyes, the gauntness of her cheeks—he knew it was more than that. He had missed months.
Sunny calmly stood up from the commander’s chair. His movements were fluid, lacking any wasted energy. He walked towards the three women, his white fur coat trailing behind him like regal robes.
Josephine started walking towards him. Her steps were shaky, her royal composure cracking under the weight of relief. Her expression was unreadable—a mix of disbelief, exhaustion, and overwhelming love.
The two stopped in front of one another. For a moment, time seemed to freeze. Then, without another word, Josephine hugged him.
She buried her face in his chest and burst out in tears. For five months now, she had been the iron lady, the only one leading Eldoria, managing the politics of nine broken nations, and fighting against an enemy that defied logic. Truth be told, she was exhausted... shattered. Finally seeing Sunny, feeling the solid warmth of his existence, she completely let go.
Sunny raised an eyebrow, surprised by the intensity of her breakdown, and hugged her back. He stared over her shoulder at the two women, Morgana and Hazel, who lowered their heads in respect and to hide their own watery eyes.
"It’s ok, Love. I am here now." Sunny said, his voice a low rumble. He caressed her long silver hair, his hand glowing with a soft, soothing light that washed away her fatigue.
"I knew you were out there!" She said, her voice muffled in his chest, holding him tight like he would disappear any second from her again.
Sunny smiled, a genuine expression that softened his sharp features. He held her to his body, shielding her from the view of the horrors outside. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"I will never leave you, Ellen and Eldoria ever again." He said with a smile, sealing the promise with a pulse of his divinity.
"YOU MUST BE SUNNY!!!!"
The creature’s demonic voice instantly cut through the air, vibrating through the ship’s hull and interrupting the two. It was a transgression that even a True God wouldn’t dare do—interrupting the reunion of a Realm Ruler.
Sunny’s frown deepened. Seeing Josephine cry had already made him angry—a cold, simmering rage. This fool just added fuel to the fire.
He didn’t even look at the demon. instead, he looked out the viewport at the three figures floating in the vacuum.
"Why is he still with his limbs?" Sunny asked, directing his question to the three great protectors hovering in space. His tone suggested that the demon’s continued wholeness was a failure on their part.
Hearing his word, Josephine slowly separated from the hug, wiping her eyes and staring at the three figures outside. Even Morgana and Hazel were speechless.
They sensed it now. These three... they were all above the Tenth Order. They were figures the women couldn’t even dream of encountering with their current strength. They were walking calamities.
"Oh? I was just thinking of ways to kill this thing. I can’t decide." Rebecca said, her arms crossed on her chest, floating casually as if she were deciding what to have for dinner.
"Yeah, he’s just too weak." Jenner added, looking at her manicured nails, not even armed.
"Leave him to me then... One hit is enough." Sadie smiled. He stepped forward and started walking on space like he was walking on normal ground. Each step created a ripple in the vacuum.
’These three?! Even when they are suppressing their strength, I can’t even move.’ The creature thought, sweat forming on his obsidian scales. He stared at the blue-haired guy walking towards him with casual arrogance.
’But...’ He turned his head to the ship, his gaze fixed on Sunny through the glass.
’I can’t even feel this guy’s energy? Is this God wolf? The energies around him is thousands of times stronger than my Master. I need to get out of here.’
He panicked. Sunny didn’t feel like a warrior; he felt like a void. An ocean so deep it had no bottom. The creature thought, already thinking of ways to escape.
"Huh? You are already so scared you want to run away?" Sadie asked with a slight frown, stopping his walk.
"I actually thought you’re worth my time." He added, disappointment dripping from his voice.
"You?!! You’re so arrogant!!" The demon roared to hide his fear.
"So what if I am?" Sadie asked back. He didn’t draw a sword. He simply raised his hand and pointed one finger at the creature.
"Block this one attack... Swords judgement." He said.
"Huh? He is actually using Sword judgement?" Jenner asked in surprise, floating nearby.
"Seems that creature annoyed him. Sadie hates fighting weak opponents, so he wants to end this battle instantly." Rebecca added, and exhaled a sigh of pity for the demon.
"I would have done the same." She added.
The creature listened to the words of the two women. He panicked. He clenched his fists, activating all his defense to his peak! Layers of dark matter, ice, and demonic energy swirled around him. He was not lowering his guard for a second.
He waited for the beam. He waited for the slash.
Nothing happened.
Sadie lowered his hand and turned his back on the demon.
"What are you doing?" Sadie asked in confusion, continuing his walk back to the ship.
"Huh? Where are you going?!!" The creature asked in shock, still holding his defensive stance.
"Of course, going back to my Lord’s side. This battle is already over." He said, and continued walking.
"What does he mean by---"
The creature froze. His vision tilted. He saw something floating in front of him. It was a black, scaled hand.
His hand.
".....?!!!!"
He lowered his gaze to his body.
The realization hit him harder than the attack. He saw all his limbs—hands, legs, tail, wings, and even his massive horns—were all cut off. They were drifting away from his torso, the cuts so impossibly fast and clean that the nerves hadn’t even registered the severance yet. He had been disassembled in a nanosecond.
He didn’t even see the other party attack.
"What?! What are you?!" He yelled in terror, now just a floating torso in space.
Sadie stopped, and looked at him over his shoulder, his blue eyes cold and sharp.
"Sadie, but the universe knows me as the Heaven of Swords."
Before the creature could say anything, a shadow materialized behind him. A Skeleton Summon—specifically the Bone Spider Sunny had just acquired—appeared in front of him, and grabbed his head with one bony leg.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
He screamed in horror. Before the stunned gazes of the three women on the bridge, the monster who had fought them for five months, the Ninth Order calamity, was instantly drained of energy. His flesh withered, his scales turned to ash, and he turned into a skeleton.
The Summon let go, and the remains shattered into dust, scattering into the endless void.
On the bridge, the show was over.
Sunny opened his eyes, having already dismissed the threat, and turned Josephine towards him.
"I will be back love, I want to pay someone a visit. You guys should return to the planet." He kissed her forehead tenderly, and vanished into golden light.
Josephine touched the spot where he had kissed her, feeling the lingering warmth.
"Ok, my love." Josephine muttered in a low voice, watching the space where he had stood, pitying whoever he was going to visit.
