Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 402: Titans’ War
[Titans’ Realm — The Crimson Barrens]
[Some minutes ago.]
The air tasted of copper and ozone. Xanax stood in front of the Titans’ Fortress huge metal gate, his silhouette stark against the harsh red light of the dying suns. His gaze was fixed on the runic array built before him, a complex geometric nightmare etched into the iron-hard ground. At the ten points of the circular array stood the ten Tenth Order Titans, their massive bodies trembling with the energy they were channeling.
"Start the formation." He ordered in a flat tone, crossing his arms on his chest, watching the destruction he had orchestrated with detached interest.
The ten titans nodded, slaves to their creator’s will, and pressed their palms together. Their eyes, once filled with hunger, were now glowing with a violent red light.
BOOOOM!!
The ground shook as ten pillars of red light shot out from them, shooting into the sky. They converged at a single point high above the fortress, tearing the fabric of reality apart. Ahead, a dark gateway made of pure darkness appeared above the fortress, swirling like a black hole hungering for matter.
"Don’t worry... Your sacrifice will be rewarded." Xanax muttered flatly.
Instantly, a sound of absolute horror filled the air. Countless screams exploded in the fortress. It was a chorus of agony as all the Titans, big and small, dropped to the ground one by one. Their flesh liquefied, their bones melted, and their bodies dissolving into blood. The fortress became a basin of crimson sludge.
"My turn!"
Xanax placed his palms together. The air around him distorted as he began to challenge his Primordial energy into his sealed palms, unlocking a fraction of his divine power.
"Ruler of eternity! I call forth 5% of your legions, lend them to me. I use this blood sacrifice as my tribute!" He yelled, his voice echoing not just in the air, but in the souls of all living things nearby.
BOOM!!
A red lightning shot out from the gateway in the sky, smashing into the fortress. Instantly, gravity reversed. All the blood on the ground ascended into the air, a river of red flowing upwards, defying nature, floating towards the gateway and merging with it to stabilize the bridge between worlds.
Hundreds of miles away, on a jagged overlook, Agora, Cobra, Nina, and Shadow stood on a hill. They were staring at the ominous gateway distance away, feeling the oppressive pressure radiating from it.
"This is bad, shouldn’t we try and stop them?" Shadow asked in confusion, her instincts screaming at her to fight or flee.
"Are you mad?! The one leading that formation is someone that can kill us with a finger. We will need backup!" Cobra snapped, her reptilian eyes wide with fear. She could taste the power in the air; it was beyond anything they had ever faced.
"I hate to admit it, but she is right." Nina added, her gaze cold, though sweat trickled down her temple. She looked up at the sky.
"Luckily. I am here."
The four turned around, watching as the clouds parted. Aurelia descended from the sky, her six feathery wings flapping behind her, radiating a holy light that tried to push back the crimson gloom. Behind her floated tens of thousands of Angels—the Angel Domain’s complete force. The weakest in the group was a fifth order powerhouse, a terrifying army in any other context.
"Domain Ruler Aurelia!" The three exclaimed in shock.
"This?" Agora moved her gaze on the soldiers before her, stunned speechless by the sheer magnitude of the angels.
"I don’t think it will be enough." She said, her voice trembling. Her words stunned her team, causing them to look at her in shock. Aurelia was the Queen of the second Domain; if she wasn’t enough, who was?
"I know." Aurelia nodded her head grimly. She turned to the side, looking at empty space.
"We are lucky I am not the only one."
The four followed her gaze, watching as space ripped apart. A gateway tore opened some distance from the hill. Victoria, the Ruler of the First Domain, walked out. A ring of light hovered behind her, functioning as a halo of war, her white armor glowing brightly against the red backdrop.
Marching behind her was soldiers, pouring forth like an endless sea. They were clad in golden armors, a mix of airborne and land creatures, moving with perfect synchronization. The weakest among them had the strength of a Sixth Order.
"Wow! Now I know why she is the ruler of the first domain." Shadow muttered in shock. The soldiers before them could level worlds to the ground.
"I don’t think this is also enough." Aurelia added, her word now shocking everyone in place.
They all turned to the gateway. If the combined might of two Domain Rulers wasn’t enough, then just how strong was the enemy?
BOOOOM!!!!
They watched as the massive river of red liquid flew out of the fortress and entered the gateway, fueling its expansion.
"Wait! Is that... Blood?" Cobra was dumbfounded, her eyes wide in shock. The metallic scent was overpowering now.
"As I feared." Victoria appeared before the group on the hill. She moved her gaze on them briefly before looking back at the gateway with a deep frown.
"What he is creating is a gateway that opens the barrier between two realms... This gateway is more complex and ten times powerful than normal gateways." She pointed at the liquid streaming into the sky.
"This Gateway requires a large amount of sacrifice... That blood, I suspect it’s the blood of the entire Titan race."
"The whole race? There are more than fifty thousand titans here." Aurelia exclaimed, horrified by the scale of the massacre.
Victoria nodded her head, her face grim.
"Then we should destroy the gateway! If we keep waiting --"
"--We can’t." Victoria cut off Shadow, sharp and fast.
"If we do that. The backlash will shatter this whole world and also affect the Supreme world! Look at the formation below. It’s getting powered by ten tenth order powerhouses. All we can do is wait, and once the summoning is done, the gateway will vanish, I hope."
"You Hope?!!"
Everyone turned to Victoria in shock. Even the strongest Domain Ruler had no complete idea of what they were facing. The uncertainty was terrifying.
"This is tricky..."
BOOOM!!!
The vortex in the sky roared. The women on the hill and their soldiers turned to the gateway, watching as it started spinning violently.
"Get ready!" Victoria yelled at them.
Down at the fortress, Xanax moved his gaze to the distant hill. His vision was absolute; he saw every soldier, every trembling hand. A small smile appearing on his face, staring at the army.
"Seems we have visitors. Ok, let’s welcome them in style."
He opened his sealed palms, feeling the connection complete, and smashed them back together.
"Open!!!"
BOOOOM!!!
A figure leaped down from the gateway and landed on his feet, shaking the foundation of the earth. He stood tall, clad in armor not of this world, his red eyes glowing brightly.
"Who summoned us?!" He slowly moved his gaze around the ten Titans channeling the gateway and turned around, his eyes meeting Xanax’s.
"Lord Xanax!" He exclaimed in surprise, dropping to one knee.
"What are you waiting for? Call the legions I asked for!!" Xanax yelled at the man.
"Yes!!"
The Transcendent flicked his wrist and a huge Warhammer appeared in his hand. It hummed with dark energy. He raised it into the air and smashed it on the formation below. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
BAM!!!!
A sonic wave shot out from it and collided on the gateway above. Instantly, the portal dilated. Hundreds of thousands of tiny black balls dropped from the gateway like hail. They smashed heavily on the ground, creating deep craters in the rocky terrain.
BAM!!!
"Good." Xanax nodded his head, a smile on his face.
Everyone watched in shock, as cracks appeared on the black balls.
BAM!
A claw burst out from the balls. Then another. Countless unknown creatures, both shapeless nightmares and twisted humanoids, burst out. They shook off the amniotic fluids of the void, their red eyes fixed on the army before them with unadulterated hunger.
"What the hell?!?" Aurelia yelled in shock, her face instantly turning pale. Only the hundreds of monsters before them were all Eighth Order and above... And more were still dropping from the gateway like rain.
"How do you like my Lord’s legion?"
Xanax appeared in front of the monsters, his arms crossed on his chest. He stood between the invaders and the defenders, staring at them with a smirk on his face.
"Lord’s legion?" Victoria was stunned.
"Of course... This is merely 5% of his total force." He added casually.
"Merely 5%?!!" Nina’s eyes widened in horror. The enemy was just too powerful. If 5% could be hundreds of thousands of elite monsters, the full force would be in the billions. It was a hopeless war.
"Who are you?" Victoria asked, stepping forward, her gaze cold and unwavering despite the odds.
"As the strongest in your small world, you have the privilege to know my name." Xanax sneered, enjoying the despair he was cultivating. He continued:
"My name is Xanax. A true God Class! Second in command under the great ruler! I am the god of chaos!!" He said, his sneer still plastered on his face.
"He, he is actually a true God?!" Victoria moved back in shock.
"Is he powerful?" Agora asked, staring at Victoria’s back, sensing the shift in the Ruler’s aura.
"A true God rank is someone who have mastered a law. He is a hundred times stronger than a tenth order." She said, her words stunning the group. Silence fell over the hill.
"Oh, seems you have done your homework. Then I won’t stress myself... Stand down and surrender. And I might spare your lives." Xanax ordered, his voice carrying the weight of a command that should not be disobeyed.
"Hahaha!"
Victoria instantly burst out laughing. The sudden laughter stunned everyone off-guard, breaking the suffocating tension.
"We should stand down? I admit you’re stronger than us!" She said, her tone suddenly cold, dropping the humor as quickly as it came. Two white swords appeared in her hand, humming with holy power.
"You dare come to our world and try to take it over..." Her eyes turned pure white, channeling the full might of the First Domain.
"You will have to step over our dead bodies then." She added.
"Ok, if that’s how you will put it. I don’t mind! Kill them." Xanax ordered.
With his words, all his soldiers lunged forward with pure bloodlust and killing intent, a tide of darkness rushing up the hill.
"Attack!!!"
Victoria yelled, as she vanished, appearing in front of the charging monsters. She started slashing her swords, creating arcs of light that decimated the front lines.
"Attack!!! Kill them all!" Aurelia yelled, unfurling her wings.
She joined the battle, casting beams of light from the sky. Their army followed right behind them, crashing into the legion of chaos, and so, the bloodbath started.
