Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 403: Trump Card
[Titans’ Realm — The Battlefield]
BAM!!
The sound was the breaking of the sound barrier, repeated twenty times in a microsecond. Victoria moved like a photon, a blur of white judgment. She divided twenty monsters with a swing of her swords, and shot forward. With each swing, energy blades made of pure light spread all over, shattering and slashing the charging monsters, cauterizing the wounds instantly and staining the ground red with what remained.
She exhaled, her breath visible in the superheated air. She stared at the monsters rushing towards her, their eyes filled with malice and an endless hunger that sought to devour her domain.
"Annoying!"
She joined the hilts of both swords together, the mechanisms locking with a satisfying click. She raised the dual-blade into the air, gathering the ambient energy, and smashed them on the ground.
BOOOOM!!!
A sonic wave of light burst out, expanding in a perfect circle. It didn’t just push the enemies back; it atomized them, turning all the monsters into ashes that scattered in the wind.
"Hmm... She will indeed be a problem." Xanax muttered with crossed arms, watching from his vantage point near the gateway.
"Killing tenth order monsters like they are just first order. She is worthy of her title." The demon with the Warhammer stood behind him, both hovering in the air. Below them stood the ten Titans, motionless like statues of flesh and bone, waiting for commands.
"Go and keep her company..." Xanax ordered, his tone suggesting he was sending a child to play.
"Yes!"
The demon’s body flashed, displacing the air around him, and he vanished.
BAM!!
Victoria plunged her sword into a ten-foot monster’s head, and with one violent upward drag of her sword, she separated the head vertically, splitting the beast in two.
WHOOSH!
Her instincts flared. Victoria looked up and leaped backward, just as a huge hammer smashed into the ground where she had stood a fraction of a second ago. A rising cloud of dust erupted, the sonic wave throwing all the nearby monsters back.
"Your opponent is me."
The demon raised his hand. His Warhammer, embedded in the bedrock, trembled violently and shot into the air. He caught the long handle, the weight of the weapon cracking the air around it, staring down at Victoria.
"A transcendent?!" Victoria frowned slightly, sensing the density of his energy.
"Hahaha!! Fight me first domain ruler!!" The demon yelled, and instantly vanished, appearing behind Victoria in seconds with a speed that defied mass.
"That fast?!"
Before the demon could attack, the light circular ring on her back released a blinding burst of light energy. It acted as an autonomous defense system, reacting faster than thought.
"Huh?!"
The demon abandoned his attack, sensing the danger, and leaped backward. He created distance from Victoria, a frown on his face as his skin sizzled from the proximity to the light.
"You?"
"Do you think this was just for decoration?" Victoria asked coldly. She joined her two swords again, forming a double-handed greatsword.
"I haven’t killed a transcendent for a long time... Killing you will make the tenth transcendent who have fallen at my feet!"
BOOOOM!!!!
A huge amount of Primordial energy burst out from Victoria, pushing the demon backward with physical force. The atmosphere screamed as four more rings manifested.
"Impossible." He said, staring at Victoria in shock. There were now five circular rings behind her, each glowing with violent, holy energies that warped the space around her.
"Oh... She actually is the reincarnation of the goddess of light... She hid so well." Xanax muttered to himself, his eyes narrowing in genuine intrigue.
"Using this form, her strength will advance to the Transcendent class. This is getting more interesting." He added.
"Is that?"
Aurelia watched the bright light in the distance, shielding her eyes. Her face was filled with shock and disbelief.
"That is the first ruler’s strongest from." She said, kicking a monster to pieces absently.
"We need to assist her!"
"No!" Aurelia stopped Agora, grabbing her arm.
"At that form, anyone lower than her in strength will get turn into ashes. We should focus on the enemies before us." Aurelia yelled, staring at the monsters before her. She knew the battlefield etiquette of the strongest; stepping in now would only hinder Victoria.
"Seems I should also use my trump card... We need to end this fast." She placed both her arms on her chest, focusing her core, and brought out a golden ball of light from it.
"Come on, let’s have some fun."
The light ascended into the air, a golden aura emanating from it, illuminating the whole surroundings with a warmth that contrasted Victoria’s cold brilliance.
BOOOOM!
It exploded outward, its energy smashing into the monsters, throwing them back and clearing a circle of safety.
"Huh? A war?"
A magnificent white fox landed on the ground where the light had been. Its fur was like spun gold and snow, and its ten tails moved behind it like distinct limbs.
"Ok ten tails!! Let’s go big!!" Aurelia yelled, placing her palms together and closing her eyes to synchronize their souls.
"Ok, Master."
The Fox nodded. It didn’t just run to her; it shattered into lights. These particles flew towards Aurelia, merging with her skin, her bones, her very essence.
BOOOOM!!!
A golden and white energy light burst out from her, shocking both enemies and allies. Everyone watched Aurelia in shock. Her six wings had reduced to four, but they were now larger, more majestic, and she now has ten tails swaying hypnotically behind her.
"Ah! So this is the strength of a transcendent! So... Amazing." She said, clenching her fist and feeling the raw power coursing through her veins.
"Let’s have some fun!"
BOOOOM!
She shot forward, cracking the ground behind her. She appeared in front of a Tenth Order monster, a creature that would usually take a team to defeat, and with a simple punch, the head shattered into blood.
"...?!!"
Everyone was stunned, watching as she moved to her next target, then the third, moving like a golden lightning bolt.
Xanax frowned slightly. The enemy now has two Transcendents, and he only has one.
’Damn! I should have summoned more.’ He lowered his gaze to the Titans, then looked over his shoulder at the gateway.
’The Titans are too weak... If only I had more sacrifices.’ He thought, calculating the odds. He turned his head to Victoria.
"These two are surely a headache... Should I interfere?" He muttered.
BOOOOM!!!
Xanax watched as his demon flew backward, smashing heavily on the ground, vomiting a mouthful of blood. He raised an eyebrow and turned to Victoria.
’She had killed nine transcendent... Was she the one killing the spies? Maybe...’ He turned his head to Aurelia, who was causing chaos all over the place.
Xanax exhaled, and clenched his fist. "Just a little more." He said, checking the progress of the gateway.
WHOOSH!!
"...?!"
He moved his head to the side instinctively, as a dagger flew pass his ear, the wind of its passage cutting a few strands of his hair. It exploded behind him, taking out a chunk of the fortress wall. He blinked, and lowered his gaze to the ground.
He saw Victoria staring at him with a frown. In her hand was the severed head of the demon, dripping dark ichor. The destroyed Warhammer lay some meters away, broken in half.
"Huh? When did she?"
WHOOSH!!!
Victoria appeared behind him. Before he could act:
BAM!!!!
A kick wrapped in light energy smashed into the side of his face, throwing him down from his high perch.
".....??"
BOOOOM!!!!
He smashed into the ground, rising smoke into the air and creating a massive crater.
"...????"
The Titans frowned, not expecting the attack. They looked up at Victoria, who now occupied the space where their god had stood.
GRAAAAAA!!
They all growled in rage. Two of the massive Titans lunged forward, stretching their hands forward to grab the woman hovering above them like flies swatting a gnat.
WHOOSH!!
Ten tails shot forward like golden whips and wrapped around their hands. Before they could think of anything or exert their strength:
BAM!
GRAAAAAA!!
The two growled in pain, as both their arms were instantly cut off by the sharpness of the tails. They fell to the ground, shaking the earth.
"Hmm..."
The leader of the Giants turned around, its eyes fixed on Aurelia, who was hovering some distance away, her tails swinging behind her menacingly.
"Kill!!"
With his order, five giants shot towards her in pure rage.
Aurelia stared at the two giants she had just maimed, watching as their cut-off hands regrow back in seconds. The two stood up, and followed the charge.
"I haven’t fought seven tenth order at once... Well." She smirked, her confidence radiating as brightly as her aura.
"There is always a first time for everything."
Victoria stared at Aurelia over her shoulder, assessing the situation, then lowered her gaze to the Titans. "Can you handle --"
"--Don’t worry about me! Just be careful!!" Aurelia cut her off, golden energy wrapping around her body like armor.
"Leave these mindless bastards to me." She added, and shot forward to intercept the mountains of flesh.
Victoria nodded. She flew towards the location Xanax smashed into. She stopped miles above, staring at the smoke as it slowly cleared. It revealed Xanax, sitting on a boulder casually, a smirk on his face despite the dirt on his cheek.
"Truly a reincarnation of the light goddess..." He stood up on the boulder, and dusted his clothes, the dirt cleaning up instantly.
"Do you truly think you can defeat me?" He asked, looking up at Victoria with arrogant eyes.
"Shut up!!"
Victoria raised her hand and snapped her fingers. Instantly, the five rings behind her moved, detaching from her back and lining up in front of her like the barrel of a cosmic railgun, aiming directly at Xanax.
"Infinite Light of death!!" She yelled.
The rings glowed with the intensity of a supernova. A blast as hot as five suns shot out from the rings, a concentrated beam of erasure heading towards Xanax, burning the air around it into a vacuum.
"Someone is going all out."
Xanax watched the blast heading towards him. He didn’t dodge. He raised one hand towards it.
"Absolute Chaos." He muttered, and clenched his fist.
Instantly, the laws of physics in front of him broke. The energy blast heading towards him didn’t hit; it exploded prematurely, its order disrupted.
BOOOOM!!!!
"...?!"
