Chapter 405: Chess Board!

He looked at Xanax, his expression flat.

"After the great war, hundreds of Gods fell due to you fools’ betrayal... Their souls scattered all over the realms, picking special souls to merge with. Once these special souls reached the peak of the Tenth Order. They must try to unlock the god’s divinity in them, and advance to the Transcendent class!"

He slowly landed some distance in front of Xanax, standing toe-to-toe with the God of Chaos.

"During the years, you people travel from realms to realms, searching for these special souls to take them in your ranks, if they refuse, you kill them... By doing that, you’re avoiding future troubles and war." He smiled, but his eyes were cold.

"You..." Xanax exhaled, realizing the depth of his opponent’s insight.

"As expected of a Realm Ruler... You know everything." Xanax nodded, conceding the point.

Sunny stared at him, then glanced back at Victoria.

"Seems you already know I was coming so you escaped before I got here." Sunny said.

"....?!"

His words stunned Victoria and everyone present. They looked at Xanax, who was still standing there. Xanax chuckled lightly, his form shimmering slightly.

"Of course... When I attacked with my clones, I detected you through space. I am not so stupid to fight a Realm Ruler head-on... I am not ready to die just yet." Xanax said.

"You’re a true God! Are you that scared?" Lilith asked with a slight frown, disgusted by his cowardice.

"Hey lady... No matter how strong or powerful you are, before a Realm Ruler who have controls of more than ten laws. That’s a death sentence. Even other Realm Rulers won’t dare face this person before me without preparation." He gave a small, mocking bow.

"Thanks for this enlightenment, seems we will need more time to prepare." He added.

"Take as much time as you need, I will be waiting." Sunny said.

With a thought, the Xanax standing before them shattered into pieces of glass-like energy. Following next, the gateway in the sky vibrated violently. It cracked and shattered, the red stain on reality vanishing.

The blood-red sky cleared, revealing the natural three suns and the blue sky of the Titans’ Realm.

Everyone looked up, staring at the peaceful sky, their faces filled with disbelief.

The war was ended, just like that?!

__

[Some moments later.]

The dust of the battlefield had settled, but the silence that remained was heavy. Where a fortress once stood, there was now a gaping abyss, a testament to the terrifying power of the Goddess of Chaos.

"Do you have to go all out?" Sunny asked with a frown.

He stood at the edge of the destruction, staring at Jinx. The girl, usually brimming with mischievous energy, had her gaze low. Standing behind Sunny was Ellen, who had a small, amused smile on her face. Watching her father reprimanding her elder sister—a being capable of leveling nations—was a rare form of entertainment for her.

"Sorry, I see my mistake now." Jinx said, her voice quiet. Her gaze remained fixed on her boots. She knew it was her bad; the destruction had gone far beyond tactical necessity, so she stood still, not rebuking.

Sunny stared at Jinx with a slight frown, and exhaled, running a hand through his hair. He turned his head, staring at the deep hole on the battlefield. It wasn’t just a crater; it was a wound in the earth that smoked with residual chaotic energy.

"I know you wanted to end the war faster, but... Why did you summon millions of clones and detonate all of them? You even damaged this realm core."

Sunny facepalmed himself, the sound echoing slightly. The world core was the heart of the world; damaging it could lead to natural disasters for centuries.

"Next time, think about the world you’re in before using your full powers. You might kill more innocent than the enemy." He said sternly, sounding less like a God and more like a disappointed parent.

"You shouldn’t get too angry Dad. Elder sister learnt her lesson." Ellen said, stepping forward to help her sister, though her eyes still danced with amusement.

Sunny sighed softly. "Ellen, don’t learn these things from her." He said, warning the younger goddess.

He turned back to Jinx, his expression softening just a fraction. "Ok, Anyway, you did a good job in the war. But next time, please."

"I get it, you said it more than twice already!" Jinx finally snapped, her embarrassment boiling over.

Sunny shook his head lightly, a small, forgiving smile finally breaking onto his face.

A few hundred meters away, the three most powerful women in the Supreme world stood watching the domestic scene of the family.

Victoria, having dismissed her armor for her pristine white dress, stood alongside Lilith and Aurelia. They stared at the three figures who had single-handedly turned the tide of an unwinnable war.

"Is that the God wolf you two have been talking about or is it someone else?" Victoria asked, turning to the two ladies, her eyes still wide with disbelief.

"Yep! He’s the one." Aurelia nodded, her tails gone. She added with a smirk, "The one Lilith want dead."

"What? Not anymore... We are now Allies." Lilith said calmly.

Her words stunned the two ladies. Lilith was known as the Great Mother, but also as a tyrant of conviction. She was someone who never backed down or took enemies as allies. If by chance you became Lilith’s enemy, you remained her enemy for life. For her to accept an alliance—especially with a male—was a shift in the cosmic order.

"What?!" Victoria exclaimed.

Lilith stared at the two with a slight frown, daring them to question her judgment.

"Tell me, Lilith. What changed?" Victoria asked. She moved her gaze from the three before them to the battlefield, trying to reconcile the monster she had heard about with the man scolding his daughter.

Lilith stared at her back for some seconds, then at Sunny.

"He is now my master’s successor... The blood and golden rain some time back, that was caused by his ascension." She explained.

Her words shocked the two, Perran, and everyone behind them. The phenomenon that had covered all the worlds was him?

"How can that guy be so lucky?" Victoria muttered in a low voice, staring at Sunny with a mix of envy and respect.

"He not only has three heavens as kids, but also many goddesses and gods around him, he is now a Realm ruler." Lilith gave a small, rare smile.

"Well, with his strength, it’s not a surprise all his subordinates are all powerful." She looked over her shoulder at the two other Rulers.

"It seems I will drop the title as the leader of the strongest domain, and the final decision maker for this realm."

Everyone stared at her, then at Sunny’s back. It was the harsh truth. The hierarchy had been shattered today. Sunny’s strength was now beyond their imagination. He was now the pillar of their worlds. If he wanted, he could level everything to the ground; no barrier or restriction could hold a Realm Ruler.

"About Xanax. He said he has more than ten laws, is that possible?" Aurelia asked all of a sudden, her mind still replaying the confrontation.

"Good question, My master has control of six laws..." Lilith looked up at Sunny, narrowing her eyes in thought. "So, how did he acquire the rest?"

"You are all forgetting something." Victoria said, her mind piecing the puzzle together. She stared at Sunny with a grim smile.

"He has bloodlines before he became a God. And these bloodlines aren’t just normal bloodlines but Ancient Bloodlines, strong enough to take down cities... At the moment, the powers of all these bloodlines have been transformed into laws..."

"What?!"

Everyone was stunned, horrified by the implication. A Law was a fundamental rule of the universe. To have one was to be a God. To have bloodlines become Laws?

"If my guess is correct, he has eight or more bloodlines, all this strength, merged with his six laws..." She exhaled, feeling small.

"The man before us is not only a monster, but he is technically unkillable... But." She paused, remembering Xanax’s parting threat.

"Thanks for this enlightenment, seems we will need more time to prepare."

’What did he mean by that?’ She thought. If Sunny was unkillable, what preparation could possibly work?

She turned around to the two Domain Rulers and the gathered soldiers.

"Ok everyone. If you remember Xanax’s last words, you should know the enemy is planning something. Something big and dangerous... We have God wolf keeping us safe, but we don’t know for how long. So for now, we are going to grow our forces, and get much stronger."

"Don’t stress yourselves out."

"Huh?"

The sudden voice made them jump. Everyone turned to Sunny, who had stopped before them with his girls, having finished his lecture. He looked calm, unbothered by the threat of ancient gods.

"They will need at least 10 to 15 years to get ready." He said casually, stunning the group with his specific knowledge.

"Wait, if you know this, why haven’t you stopped them?" Lilith asked in surprise. If he knew the timeline, surely he could strike now?

"Come on. Do you think those fools are the only enemies? I want them to continue, because my target is the main Boss, not some minions."

He nodded at them, a glint of predatory anticipation in his golden eyes. He turned to Ellen and Jinx.

"Come on, I will show you my domain in the Supreme World."

Before the group could ask anything—about the Main Boss, about the future—the space warped around them.

ZIP.

The three vanished instantly, leaving a dumbfounded group of the world’s strongest leaders standing in the dust, realizing they were just players in a game they barely understood.
