Infinite wealth In A New World-Chapter 404: Reincarnations
[Titans’ Realm.]
BOOOOM!!!
The energy wave caused by the explosion wasn’t just sound and fury; it was a physical upheaval. The shockwave spread in all directions, shattering the basalt bedrock below like glass, and vaporizing thousands from both sides in an instant.
"Cough!"
Cobra stood precariously on the head of her massive python summon, shielding her eyes from the dust that choked the battlefield. She turned her head to the source, a deep frown etching lines into her face.
"What just happened?" She asked, her voice raspy from the smoke.
Agora, Shadow, and Nina stood on the ground, or what was left of it. They were staring at the two combatants in the sky. The whole battlefield seemed to be placed on hold, the screams of the dying silenced by the sheer magnitude of power on display. All eyes were fixed on the cause.
"That is one of my strongest attack. How can you?" Victoria asked in confusion, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The rings behind her flickered, their light dimming.
"One of your strongest?" Xanax grinned at her, a predator playing with a wounded bird.
"Are you sure that’s your strongest? Because I used my weakest attack to stop it." He added, enjoying the look of despair dawning on her face.
"Weakest?"
Victoria and those nearby were stunned. If that was his weakest, hope was a lie.
"Don’t believe me... Why don’t I show a skill then!" He raised one hand casually, pointing a single finger at Victoria.
"Clones of Ultimate Chaos."
WHOOSH!!
The air screamed. Victoria moved her gaze around her, watching in horror as exact clones of Xanax popped into existence. They appeared all over the sky, completely surrounding her in a sphere of malice.
"This?!! There are more than fifty clones!" Nina exclaimed in shock, clutching her staff so hard her knuckles turned white.
"Ok, First domain Ruler... Let’s have some fun." Xanax clenched his fists.
Instantly, the clones shot forward with deadly speed, tearing through the sound barrier.
".....?!"
Victoria summoned back her two swords, her mind racing for a countermeasure as she stared at the charging clones.
"Chaos Expansion."
"What?!"
Before Victoria could think of anything, before she could swing her blade, the clones stopped inches from her. They glowed with an unstable, violent red light. Then, they exploded like a supernova.
"No!"
BOOOOM!!!!
"First domain Ruler!!" The girls and soldiers yelled in shock, staring at the explosion in the sky that momentarily outshined the suns.
"Hmm...."
Xanax watched as the smoke cleared. It revealed Victoria inside a cracked, shimmering protective barrier. Her face was pale, her armor scorched, and her breathing was heavy and erratic.
"Oh, it seems that defense took a lot of energy from you." He said, crossing his arms on his chest, floating above the devastation.
"You are just a fake Transcendent, don’t ever forget that..." He raised his hand into the air. The sky darkened as a ball of pure, condensed Darkness the size of a mountain appeared above Victoria.
"You can’t win me with borrowed strength!"
Victoria raised her head to the energy ball. She could feel its gravity pulling at her soul. All her energy was used against that last attack, and now... She didn’t have enough to block this. She lowered her gaze to Xanax. He was right. The strength in her wasn’t hers; it was borrowed from a past life she barely understood. Not to mention he was five to six classes higher than her. From the very start, the game was rigged.
"Grafton!! Say goodbye to your strongest warrior!!!" Xanax yelled, his voice booming like thunder, and brought his hand down.
"No!!!"
Aurelia shot forward, abandoning her fight with the regenerating Giants. She rushed towards the energy ball, wings beating frantically, but she was too far away.
"It’s pointless!! Even if you save her, the energy will still level the ground... Taking all your soldiers with it!" Xanax said, his eyes cold and devoid of mercy.
"You bastards!! Your soldiers are also down there!!!" Victoria yelled at him, her voice cracking.
"Do you think I care about that? Soldiers are dispensable... I can create hundreds of them given time." He said, the smirk still plastered on his face.
Victoria grimaced. She looked up at the energy ball descending towards her, a black sun of annihilation. Then at Aurelia rushing over in vain. And lastly at the soldiers below—thousands of souls depending on her.
’He is right... If I dodge this, they’ll all die. I will...’ She looked up at the energy again, gritting her teeth until they ached.
’Master, I promised to protect this realm with my life.’
She let go of her swords. The two weapons of light dropped to the ground, shattering into particles before they hit the dust.
"I won’t go back on my promise!!" She yelled. She raised her two palms and smashed them together in front of her, her life force flaring for one final act.
"Intimate Light Protection Sacrifice---"
"Calm down, Victoria."
"Huh?!"
".....?!"
"...!!!"
Silence instantly descended all over the battlefield. The wind stopped. The dust hung suspended in the air. Everyone stood frozen, staring at the people who stood some distance from Victoria.
And the one standing right behind her.
Short black hair, golden eyes, white fur overcoat. He radiated an oppressive energy, so dense and absolute that it dulled the chaotic energy of the black sun above them.
"This?!" Xanax froze, his smirk vanishing instantly, replaced by a look of serious calculation.
Victoria slowly separated her palms, the sacrificial light fading. She slowly turned her head around, her white eyes meeting with two golden pupils that held the depth of the cosmos. She hadn’t met him in person, but she knew what he looked like. The legends didn’t do him justice.
"God Wolf?"
Sunny gave a small smile, calm amidst the apocalypse. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
SNAP.
Instantly, the massive energy ball of darkness shattered into harmless light particles, raining down like glitter. Everyone was stunned in place, unable to comprehend the level of power required to erase a god’s attack so casually.
"You did good." Sunny nodded to Victoria, his voice grounding her.
He looked over his shoulder at Lilith, Perran, Jinx, Violet, and Ellen who had just arrived.
"Ok, girls, go and have your fun... Leave this to me." He said with a smile.
"You don’t have to tell me twice." Jinx nodded. She grinned, her purple hair whipping in the wind. Dark shadows instantly shot out from her, forming dozens of clones that mirrored her mischievous malice.
".....?!"
Xanax raised an eyebrow, watching the clones collide with his remaining soldiers.
"I thought you will Annihilate them all at once, why are you sending those two girls?" He asked, observing a clone rushing towards a Tenth Order monster. The monster raised its axe and slashed the clone into pieces easily.
"Hahah! I told you---"
BOOOOM!!!
".....?!!!"
Xanax was dumbfounded. He witnessed the slashed clone explode with the force of a tactical nuke. The explosion instantly vaporized the Tenth Order monster and cleared a hundred-meter radius.
"This?" He was speechless.
"Fighting my clones is truly a bad thing." Jinx said, appearing near Sunny, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear innocently.
"My clones can kill you, and if you kill them. They’ll explode like a nuclear weapon, which will kill the enemy and those around it. Fighting me is 100% suicidal." She smiled sweetly, a terrifying contrast to her words.
"You know why?"
Xanax narrowed his eyes at her words.
"Because I can create millions of clones."
"Million... Millions!!!" Xanax looked down at the battlefield. He watched as the exploded clones didn’t just vanish; the energy re-coalesced, shattering into more clones.
"Hahaha! I admit, you are strong, but your Allies are still mixed with the enemies!" Xanax yelled, trying to find a flaw, hiding his shock. "If you explode them all, you kill your own!"
"That’s why I have my sister with me." Jinx smiled, pointing a thumb back.
"Sister?"
Xanax turned to the little girl, who had her eyes closed in deep concentration.
"Another goddess of light? No... She is the reincarnation of the Goddess of Holy Light! Why are there many goddesses’ reincarnations here?!!" He yelled, frustration seeping into his voice.
He turned to the battlefield. He watched as the allied soldiers vanished one at a time, teleported by beams of holy light, appearing far from the blast zones. Then, Jinx’s clones rushed into the empty enemy lines.
"No."
BOOOOM!
BOOOOM!!
BOOOOOOM!!
Everyone only watched the fireworks. It was a one-sided massacre. The enemy forces were getting overpowered by a single person—a Seventh Order powerhouse fighting like a god.
Xanax leaped backward, creating distance from the group. He landed on his feet, his gaze fixed on Sunny, wary.
"These two girls... Who are they truly?" He asked.
"Having such strength and advantage is dangerous... Do they truly know what is inside them?!" He added. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Of course..." Sunny nodded his head, floating past the stunned Victoria, moving towards Xanax with casual strides through the air.
"Jinx is not only my daughter. She is also the reincarnation of the Goddess of Ultimate Chaos... While my youngest daughter is the Reincarnation of the Holy Light Goddess."
