Chapter 410: I Love Fireworks!!

[Upper World — The peak of the Verdant mountain]

In an open clearing surrounded by trees thick with energy, a gateway tore open with a sound like ripping canvas. The triplets walked out, the air around them instantly adjusting to their powerful presence.

"Welcome Imperial Princes and Princess!"

Twenty guards, all Tenth Order elites clad in the royal armor of Eldoria, quickly dropped to one knee, their heads bowed in unified reverence.

"Get up, all of you." Treasure said seriously. Her playful nature had vanished, replaced by the steely demeanor of a warrior born and bred for the battlefield.

"Tell me, what is the situation?" She asked, walking forward with purpose. Her siblings followed in silence, their expressions unreadable but alert. The guards stood up and fell into formation behind the three royals.

"Commander, we got the exact location of the Black Eye Bandits’ hideout. It’s located deep in the valley." The woman walking beside Treasure reported. She tapped the bracelet on her wrist—a sleek device housing an upgraded cosmic brain.

A holographic screen shimmered into existence before the group as they walked, projecting a tactical map with a pulsing red dot nestled in a massive valley.

"How many villagers?" Treasure asked again. As the commander of tens of thousands of soldiers, she had never failed a single mission. She didn’t intend for this to be her first.

"151 villagers... The Black Eye Bandits attacked a small village and took all the villagers hostage. I don’t understand, they always attack and plunder, what changed now?" The lady mused aloud.

"I guess they figured it out. Plundering small villages will only give them little resources, but taking the villagers hostage and asking for ransom... They will gain more." Destiny said, his voice calm and analytical as he stared at his sister’s back.

"I say we move discreetly. I know that isn’t your style, but we can’t afford to lose even one villager." He advised.

Treasure exhaled, acknowledging the wisdom in his words. "I know..." She looked over her shoulder at the two boys and nodded her head.

"All forces should stand down."

"Huh?"

The twenty guards were stunned. Not only were the three before them their commanders, they were also the King’s children. If something happened to them, how would they explain it to the Realm Ruler? The thought alone was terrifying.

"Commander... The Black Eye Bandits’ leader is a Transcendent class. You will need backup," the lady exclaimed, panic creeping into her voice.

"We won’t... We will get going now. You guys should stand watch around the valley."

The three stopped at the edge of a sheer cliff, staring down into the mist-filled valley 600 meters below.

"Do you understand?" Treasure looked over her shoulder at the twenty guards, her green eyes flashing with an authority that brooked no argument.

They quickly bowed. "Yes!!"

She nodded, satisfied, and turned back to the valley.

"Let’s go, Boys."

She said, and leaped. She dove off the 600-meter-tall mountain with a smile on her face, embracing the freefall.

"Gosh, for once; can’t she do something without showing off?" Destiny asked, looking at Lucian, who had been silent from the start.

"You know our sister." Lucian placed his hands in his pockets, walked towards the edge, and simply stepped off, his posture casual as if he were strolling through a garden.

"Now, you’re showing off." Destiny lightly shook his head, sighed, and leaped down after them.

The twenty guards looked at one another in confusion as the royal triplets plummeted.

"Umm... Vice Commander, isn’t this a 600-meter-high mountain?" A man standing behind the lady asked nervously.

"What do you expect from our Commander?" The lady asked. She raised her hand and removed her helmet, revealing long black hair and striking blue eyes.

"What do you expect from my master’s little sister?" Lina smiled. As Jinx’s first student, she knew Treasure inside out. The girl was a force of nature.

"Send words to Leon. Stand down." She added. The guards nodded their heads, reassured by her confidence.

___

WHOOSH!!

The three figures dove like silent bullets, cutting through the air. Just before impact, they swiftly stabilized themselves with bursts of Primordial energy and landed lightly on their feet, barely disturbing the dust.

Treasure scanned the area, staring at the dense forest ahead of them.

"Following the Map, the hideout is after this forest." She said, and started walking towards the treeline.

"Aren’t you worried if there is a trap or something?" Destiny asked, scanning the perimeter.

"A trap?"

Treasure waved her hand towards the forest. A wind, imbued with her energy, blew from her, moving past the trees and spreading through the undergrowth like an invisible wave.

"Done. Let’s go, all traps and lookouts have been taken care of." She said confidently and continued walking.

The two behind her nodded, accustomed to her efficiency. Destiny raised his head to the sky, gauging the light.

"The Sun will set in two hours."

____

[The Fortress of Shadows]

At the other side of the forest, a huge fortress made entirely from dark, reinforced wood stood like a scar on the land. In every single corner stood men in black, masks concealing their faces, weapons ready.

In the Great Hall of this fortress, ten figures stood cloaked in shadow, their hoods revealing only glowing red eyes. Kneeling some distance from them, huddled in a terrified corner, were the villagers.

"We failed the mission." The one standing in front of the group said, his gaze fixed on the villagers with disdain.

"Yes, I am so mad." The second standing beside him added, his voice vibrating with frustration.

"We should have known this realm will also harvest nothing... All the beasts have been taken." The first said. He moved his gaze back to the people.

"But... There is still one." He added cryptically.

"We have been searching for millions of years, all the beasts have been taken, and only one is left. We searched four whole realms!" Another snapped. From the voice, it was clearly a woman.

The leader nodded his head grimly. "We must keep looking." He raised his gloved hand and clenched his fist. "We have hid ourselves from the Realm Rulers, searching, and now... All the beasts have been taken. We must locate the last one, and fast!"

"Do you think the last beast is in the last Realm?"

"That is the only explanation. We must locate it." The leader stated.

One of the ten turned to the villagers. "What about these villagers? They’re useless to us."

"Forget them, we aren’t the ones who need them." He looked at the door, staring at the man standing there—Zama, the leader of the Black Eye Bandits.

"The Black Eye Bandits are the ones after mere money... Our mission in this realm is a failure! We must get a beast unless once the Master awakens, she will be angry." He said, fear lacing his tone at the mention of ’Master’. He snapped his fingers.

BOOOOM!

The space before them tore open, and a spinning black gateway appeared, swirling with dark energy.

"Zama! We brought you and your bandits from the other realms into this realm." The leader looked over his shoulder at the bandit king. "Now, we are leaving this realm, and we can’t bring you all. Only you."

"What? But my Lord--"

"--No but. The realm we are going to belongs to a Realm Ruler who doesn’t care about how his people live, die or kill one another! He also locked his realm to all Realm Rulers. This realm is filled with evil." The leader’s red gaze didn’t budge.

"Will you come with us and abandon your people, or stay back here with them and die together?" He asked coldly.

"This?" Zama was stunned. He weighed his options quickly. His chance of survival would be infinitely better if he stuck with these powerful entities than if he stayed back to face Eldoria’s wrath.

He exhaled. With a thought, a Primordial energy clone of himself appeared beside him.

"This is to fool my people..." He turned to the villagers. "What about them?"

"Don’t kill them. You want to fool your people, you can’t achieve that by killing the villagers. Besides, they might get the ransom and live happily here." The woman answered pragmatically.

"Yes!" The man nodded with a bow, and quickly rushed towards the portal. With that, the group entered the gateway and vanished from the hall, leaving the clone to play the part of a doomed leader.

____

[The Forest Edge]

"Huh?" Treasure gasped in surprise, pausing on a high tree branch.

"What happened?" Lucian turned to her with a slight frown.

"This." She turned to her brothers, who were standing on adjacent branches. "The eleven powerful energy signatures. They vanished." She said, her words confusing the two.

"Vanish? Did they teleport away or something?" Lucian asked in surprise.

"No..." Destiny closed his eyes, extending his sensory perception to its limit. "I can’t feel anything within a thousand-mile radius... It seems they indeed vanished, or they used a gateway and escaped." He confirmed.

"Escaped? There is no way they know about our plan. I am sure of that because there haven’t been any alarms. But If they escaped, why did they leave their people behind?" Lucian asked, analyzing the tactical anomaly.

"This is really a headache, why don’t we just attack them head-on!" Treasure asked with a frown, her patience wearing thin.

"Alright... Attack them. I will find a way inside and locate the villagers." Destiny said. His form dissolved, shattering into dark smoke that drifted towards the fortress unseen.

"Finally, I can shine!" Treasure flashed a bright smile. She leaped down from the tree, running towards the main gate of the fortress, completely ignoring Lucian.

"What a drag." Lucian sat down on the branch, getting ready to watch the show. With the eleven high-level threats gone, his two siblings could easily take care of the fortress.

"If I act, it will only be a mess. And I am not in the mood... But just sitting down here is a drag." He muttered to himself, leaning back against the trunk.

___

[The Front Gate]

"Hey Boys!! Ready for some fireworks!!"

The five bandits on the wooden wall looked down, startled. All turned their heads to the voice, seeing a young lady with long silver hair and green eyes walking towards them with a bright, terrifying smile on her face.

"Is that?!" One exclaimed in shock, recognizing Treasure.

"Yes!! She is the Commander of Eldoria’s forces!"

"What happened? Why is Eldoria’s commander here?"

"I don’t know, we only destroyed a village in the Elves’ region..." The fourth said in confusion, panic setting in.

"Oh boys... The Elves are under Eldoria’s flag." Treasure called out. She opened her palm, and a construct of pure primordial energy—a beautiful butterfly made from green light—appeared, fluttering delicately from her hand towards the wall.

"I hope you all like fireworks!!"

The moment the butterfly touched the wall, the delicate construct destabilized.

BOOOOM!

It exploded like a stick of dynamite. The blast instantly incinerated the five men into ashes. The explosion chained along the wall, igniting the magically reinforced wood until the entire perimeter was engulfed in green flames.

"So good!!" Treasure yelled as the alarm bells began to ring frantically.

"I love fireworks!!"
