Chapter 414: HALF!!!

[Great World.]

In a separate hall, far from the boisterous celebration and parties echoing through the main castle, the atmosphere was heavy with purpose. The walls here were lined with sound-dampening runes, creating a sanctuary of silence.

Sunny stood in front of the three—Lucian, Treasure, and Destiny. They were back in their casual wears, having shed the ceremonial heavy armor and gowns, but their faces were filled with determination. They looked less like children and more like soldiers awaiting deployment.

Beside Sunny stood Josephine, holding little Moon’s hand, and Ellen, his eldest. Both women stood on his two sides like guardians of his heart. Behind him stood Rosita, her gaze sharp and proud.

Standing some feet away was Star and Qin Li, smiling warmly at the scene.

"Mom, Dad, where is sister Treasure going?"

A little blonde-haired girl, looking no less than six years old, stood in front of the two, looking up at her parents with wide, curious eyes. Her twin brother, standing beside her, also turned to their parents, awaiting an answer.

Star lowered her gaze, staring at their blue eyes, and smiled brightly.

"Daniel. Danielle, your cousins are going on a trip." She answered softly, shielding them from the harsh reality of the mission.

"Trip? Can we go with them mom?" Danielle asked, tilting her head.

"No, we can’t. But no worries, you can keep Moon company." Star replied, staring at the little Moon, who was clinging to Josephine.

"Ok." Danielle nodded her head, turning back to the group before them.

Star smiled, and rested her head on Qin Li’s shoulder, watching the triplets. "They grow up so fast."

"True." Qin Li nodded with a smile, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "It looks like it was just yesterday you caught me spying on you, and hammered the crap out of me."

"Yeah, you were stubborn back then." Star smiled softly, a nostalgic gleam in her eyes.

Standing in another corner stood Nioh, Eve, and a little boy, the same age as Moon—another five-year-old. He watched Sunny, not blinking one bit, his eyes filled with absolute adoration.

"One day, I will be like him." He said to himself, his voice a whisper of conviction. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Nioh chuckled, and ruffled his son’s brown hair. "I told you, just take it slow... The King is someone no one can catch up to... Remember Joseph, never think about others’ blessings or try to take others’ paths, forge your own paths; And Always Remember, you’re from two powerful bloodlines."

Joseph blinked, staring at his father, and nodded his head seriously. "Ok, Dad. I can do that... But no matter what, I will make sure to catch up with the King, he is my role model!"

’His role model?! What about me??’ Nioh exclaimed inwardly, a pang of comedic jealousy hitting him.

"Fufufu... Now you’re behaving like a kid." Eve whispered, holding his arm and leaning into him.

"You’re still the best dad ever." She added, reading his mind.

"Yeah." Nioh rubbed the back of his neck with a sheepish smile. "I guess you’re right."

Standing at the other side were Natasha, Blood Eye and Nicolas, along with Ericka and Peter, who were currently dating and standing close together. These were Sunny’s inner circle, the bedrock of his empire.

But there was just one person missing.

BAM!

The heavy double doors were thrown open with force. Everyone turned their heads to the door.

"You start without me?!"

A human walked in, her stride confident and commanding. Her long purple hair flowed behind her like a cape, and her gray eyes were fixed on Sunny.

"Well, we haven’t started." Sunny answered calmly, staring at the beautiful young lady before him. Just like Sunny, Rosita, Josephine, and Star, Jinx hadn’t aged a bit. She remained timeless.

"Sister Jinx!! Are you coming with us?!" Treasure asked in surprise, her face lighting up.

"Yep!" Jinx stopped beside her, patting Treasure on the head before staring at Sunny.

"So what’s the plan?" She asked, cutting straight to business.

"Locate the Marriott family, the head will explain everything to you... Then, you can start tracking down the beast." Sunny instructed.

"Sorry to interrupt." Jinx said, raising a hand. She stared at Sunny with a critical eye.

"How can we track something we don’t even know if it existed? And thinking of all possible outcomes, we aren’t the only ones searching." She crossed her arms on her chest, her mind poking holes in the vague objective.

"If by chance we locate this beast, with its energy and size, it’ll surely draw a lot of attention, and there will be a confrontation."

"I thought you aren’t scared of confrontations?" Sunny asked with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"I am not talking about me... But them." She gestured to the triplets.

"You don’t have to worry about that."

Sunny opened his palm. The air in the room suddenly grew heavy, gravity seeming to double for a split second. A Black and Gold Card appeared hovering above his palm. Instantly, a suffocating pressure burst out from it—the weight of a collapsing star—but it instantly stopped, contained by Sunny’s will, not reaching the kids.

"Is that?" Nioh stepped forward, his eyes widening.

"Yep... My own creation. The first God Rank Summoning Card."

The card flew off his hand, gliding through the air, and landed in Jinx’s open palm. She stared at it with a slight frown, turning it over.

"Hey, why can’t I see any summons on it?" She asked, looking up at Sunny. The face of the card was a swirling void, devoid of any monster image.

"I told you, I created that. So it flows with my powers of reality. Meaning, just think of anything, monsters or humans, and it will appear. With it having Half my strength."

"HALF?!!!!"

Every adult in the hall yelled in shock, staring at Sunny in horror.

Half of Sunny’s strength? Even with 10% of Sunny’s strength, one could level entire cities to the ground. 50% was enough to erase a solar system or shake the foundations of a realm. And now, there was something—a mere card—that could wield that power.
