Chapter 421: What Happened Here?!

[Supreme World.]

The air at this altitude was thin and crystalline, almost too pure for mortal lungs. Sunny stood on the highest mountain in the whole world, a jagged peak that pierced the clouds and looked down upon creation. He stared at the ten gateways before him, towering worlds that currently showed no life, only the swirling, concentrated essence of the single element that resided in each.

"Soon... Once I get hold of the last beast, I can then fully awaken these worlds, and a new race will be born." He said, his voice carrying the weight of absolute authority. His arms were folded behind him, his coat flapping in the relentless wind that howled around the summit.

"Master’s goal is right... But why hasn’t Master visited my Creator?" The system asked. It stood some feet behind him, not as a glowing interface, but in its human appearance. Sunny had made sure to upgrade the system to the maxed level, a process that had refined its form into something mature and breathtakingly beautiful, though its eyes still held the digital calmness of an AI.

Although the system was upgraded, its power to control Sunny was lost. The shackles of guidance were broken; it couldn’t force Sunny to visit its creation. As a Realm Ruler, Sunny’s strength was now on par with its Creator. He was no longer a player in a game, but a master of the board. He was the one who would choose to see the system’s creator or not. For now, he wasn’t ready.

"I don’t know, maybe I don’t want to lose you," He said, looking over his shoulder at the system, a rare flicker of vulnerability in his gaze.

"I don’t feel emotions, Master. Besides, I won’t leave you... Once you reached my Creator and follow his words, I will be merged with you. Although I won’t be able to give you missions or anything like that; I will give you my full powers."

Sunny exhaled, the sound lost in the wind, and turned his gaze back to the silent gateways. "I know all that," He said, his gaze distant, reflecting the swirling elements in the arches.

"Master... You have already taken ten of these beasts, all thanks to my master’s help... Why don’t you want to see and fulfill his one wish?"

"I am not ready... Once I get the complete beasts, I will visit him and hear him out..."

The system nodded its head, its golden hair flowing in the wind like strands of liquid light.

"Ok, Master."

"One question... How is that thing going?" He asked, shifting the subject to his grand design.

"Going smoothly." The system replied efficiently.

Sunny nodded his head, satisfied. He exhaled slowly, centering himself.

"Slowly, everything will fall in place." He waved his hand with casual power. Instantly, the gateways shuddered and closed up, the elemental swirls vanishing into wind.

"If I said this from the start. I will sound stupid." He clenched his fists, feeling the immense energy coursing through his veins—energy that was vast, yet not enough.

"I must break through the rank of a Realm ruler, and enter the unknown level of strength imaginable... No matter what happens, I must become more than a god."

[Back To The Triplets.]

BEEP!

The convoy of supercars came to a halt in front of a partially ruined building in the industrial sector. The area was swarming with police officers, their flashing red and blue lights reflecting off the yellow "DO NOT CROSS" banners that cordoned off the site.

All the police, detectives, and even the gathered onlookers were dumbfounded. The gritty reality of a crime scene was suddenly interrupted by a parade of wealth that belonged on a magazine cover, not amidst debris and soot.

The door of the Rolls-Royce opened, and Esther stepped down. Her expression was icy, hiding her internal turmoil.

"What happened to my factory?" She asked, walking towards them with the Aura of a boss.

"Miss Esther Marriott!" The head officer quickly walked towards her, straightening his uniform and giving a small, respectful bow.

"It seems there was a battle here last night, and your factory got caught it in," He said, offering their preliminary analysis. His eyes drifted past her, staring at the four strangers standing some distance behind Esther.

"Hmm... Was it the Ghosts again?" Esther asked with a frown.

"Perhaps it’s them, or it might be the new organization formed in the underground world," The man whispered, glancing around as if the name itself drew shadows.

"New organization?" Esther raised an eyebrow. This was new information, and in her line of work, ignorance was fatal.

"Yes, they are ruled by some people who called themselves the ten commandments."

Hearing the name, the triplets frowned deeply. They exchanged a subtle glance, instantly recognizing the title. It was a name that carried weight, a specific kind of arrogance they were familiar with.

"Anyway, they always operate in the shadows, not like the Ghosts."

"Ok, ok... I am a businesswoman, not some detective." Esther said, cutting him off. She gestured to the four to follow her.

"Oh, sorry Miss Esther." The man quickly apologized and moved out of the way, signaling his men to lift the tape.

Esther and the four passed the banners, ignoring the curious whispers of the crowd, and entered the factory.

"I am here to take something in my office. I will be off in ten minutes," She said over her shoulder, not slowing down. The head officer nodded his head, staying put outside.

Esther led the group through the damaged lobby towards the elevator and pushed the button.

Treasure moved her gaze all over the place, staring at the foreign machines visible through the glass walls of the production floor. "What are you building here?" She asked, curious about this primitive technology.

"Oh. This factory makes books, we also make the papers, and turn them into notebooks," Esther explained as the elevator arrived with a ding.

"Let’s go." She walked inside the elevator with the group, and the metal doors slid closed, sealing them in.

___

The doors opened again in a quiet hallway on the top floor. The group walked out, following behind Esther until she stopped in front of a heavy mahogany door. She placed her hand on a scanner.

CLICK!

The lock disengaged, and the door opened. She stepped inside her pristine office.

"Come on in," She said, walking straight towards a nondescript cupboard beside her desk. She opened it, knelt down and placed her hand inside, feeling for the mechanism.

The group watched her in silence, their eyes scanning the room for threats.

"Got you."

Esther nodded and pushed the button hidden inside the wood.

BAM!
