Chapter 420: Ghost Organization

[Unknown Location.]

Tens of thousands of kilometers from the city, in the depths of a dark, eerie forest where the trees grew twisted and the leaves were permanently wilted, a small town sat on the black soil. It was a place untouched by the sun. At the center of the town, a formidable black castle stood, its spires piercing the gloom.

_

[Dark Hall.]

Inside the castle lay a hall enveloped by nothing but darkness, only illuminated by the flickering, spectral light of torches on the wall. A massive round table stood in the middle with ten high-backed chairs placed around it.

WHOOSH!

Lights moved from all directions, coalescing into solid forms on each chair, leaving four chairs empty.

"Why are we called?"

The same black smoke that had been in City X flew through the high window, swirling down to the table where it formed the man. He arranged his cloak, smoothing out the fabric, and sat down on the chair with the number four on it.

"We thought you’ll know, Madurai." The lady, sitting on the chair with the number five, stated. Her voice was cool, like ice cracking.

"I met you here, Angelina... I thought you’ll know." Madurai pointed out, moving his gaze on the people present.

Angelina sighed, the sound echoing in the silence. She removed the hood of the same cloak design Madurai was wearing. She looked up, staring at the fellow members, her red eyes fixed on the fourth Ghost.

"Let’s wait and see." She said, moving a string of her blue hair behind her ear.

"Why is there so much noise today?"

Everyone froze. A wave of suffocating bloodlust instantly spread all over the hall, thick enough to taste. The air grew heavy. They all turned their heads to the entrance, seeing a guy with long red hair and eyes as red as fresh blood walking towards them. His cloak moved behind him as if agitated by his own killing intent.

"Executioner." Madurai muttered under his breath, his body tense.

Executioner stopped at the chair with the number three on it and sat down, his gaze expressionless, boring into the wood of the table. The other seven in the room stared at him, not uttering a word. The man before them not only possessed a Mythical Summon, but he had killed millions—a body count the rest of them hadn’t even come close to.

"Seems my baby is here too."

A melodic, sickly-sweet voice sounded all over the place. Pink Geranium flowers appeared out of thin air, falling like snow. The next moment, Patricia appeared on the seat with the number two on it, materialized from the petals.

"Greetings, Second Leader." The group stood up, all except Executioner, and bowed.

"Oh, I see baby boy is upset." Patricia licked her lips, staring at Executioner with a predatory grin, while the rest looked at one another, sensing the volatility.

"Don’t let me kill you." Executioner snapped, turning around to her with sharp killing intent.

"Fufufu... You don’t scare me, dear."

"Silence!!!"

A voice thundered all over the place, shaking the very stones of the castle. Everyone turned to a dark corner, watching as their leader walked out of the shadows. His face was enclosed in a mask, and his body was shrouded in his cloak, appearing more phantom than man.

"Leader!!"

This time, Patricia and even Executioner stood up and bowed respectfully.

The man walked towards the chair with the number one on it and sat down. With his action, the nine followed, taking their seats.

"I called you all here for three reasons." He jumped straight to the point, his voice distorted and commanding.

"Three?" Patricia was confused. She knew only about the failure with the summons, but not the rest.

"First, and also our main target... We must resurrect the Divine artifact. To achieve this, we must continue killing, still the cup is filled! Understand?" He asked, staring at them. The weight of his gaze made the air tremble. The rest nodded in understanding.

"Thanks to Executioner... The cup is 70% filled, you all must work harder." He exhaled, the sound raspy, and continued:

"The second reason; there is a new organization rising... This organization is ruled by ten main powerhouses, known as the ten Commandments. The name of this organization is Commandments. Each of this ten has the strength of an SSS rank summoner."

"What?! Are they that powerful?" Madurai was stunned. SSS rank was the pinnacle of human achievement, and to have ten of them gathered was a catastrophe in the making.

"Yes... With the intelligence at hand. They are after that Beast." He said.

"That? You mean?" The nine were stunned, a ripple of unease passing through the table.

"Yes, that Beast is beyond rare, even to us, it’s a Myth... No one can see or catch such a thing, but they’re after it," The leader said, his gloved fingers tapping the table.

"Hmm... Do they have its location?" Executioner asked with a raised eyebrow, his interest piqued for the first time.

"I don’t think so... They are looking for that old man. He might know the location."

"So what’s the plan, leader?" Angelina asked, staring at the masked man, ready for orders.

"For now, we should find a way to locate that man too... If we get to him, we can get the location of the Beast." He said, and continued, his tone darkening.

"The last reason why we’re here is because of a group of four people. Patricia already encountered them and lost 15 legendary summonses. It proves how powerful they are. Not only that." He turned to Executioner.

"They have a Mythical Summon Card... Patricia escaped not showing half of her strength to leave them in the dark." He placed both his palms on the table, leaning forward.

"These guys are with Esther Marriott, so they’re our enemy, and would have already known about Executioner... So you won’t be going."

"What?" Executioner turned to him in surprise, his eyes narrowing.

"This should be my eleventh city!!"

"Enough...!! We will send Madurai, and the rest, your task is to take down this new organization’s members or hideouts one by one, and if you come in contact with these four, kill them." He stood up, his cloak sweeping around him.

"Executioner, Patricia, and I; will start looking for the old man’s whereabouts. We need to get our hands on that Beast first." He sighed, his fists clenched tight.

"If we haven’t given up our search, we would have caught it by now... We will start all over, and hunt that beast! All of you, focus and complete your tasks, don’t underestimate anyone! Especially the six and the ten Commandments!"

The nine stood up with him, their faces filled with determination, their eyes glowing with shared ambition.

"The Ghosts will be the ruler of this world, and we will all make sure of it... No matter what, we must not fail, we must resurrect the divine artifact and ascend to God!!"

"Yes!!"

The rest yelled in agreement, their voices echoing through the dark hall, promising death and destruction to the world outside.
