Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!-Chapter 613 - Before I knew it, we got more babies! (Part 2)

Since humans are inherently weaker than mystiques, it took about 8 hours before Kayden woke up from his recuperation sleep. When he woke up, his eyes flung open as if he woke up from a dream then he immediately looked around. He seemed to either be looking for me or the children or maybe his father?

When he realized that he was in my arms while he was asleep earlier, he scooted his body over and rubbed his face on my chest area. He embraced me back tight and hummed, "I thought I would be in pain again when I wake up."

I caressed the wide of his back and replied, "I healed you up well while you are sleeping so you are as good as new." I felt him stiffen and look up then he whispered, "Where are our babies? Are they sleeping?"

I nodded my head and told him quietly that they have just been fed just before he woke up so they are contentedly sleeping with full bellies. I assisted him in sitting up from the bed and then walking a bit towards the cribs where the babies are.

I saw Kayden smiling while watching the sleeping babies. He then started talking with no one in particular but I guess we can say he was self-reflecting but loudly.

He started with saying how the kids have most of his features but their skin was as white as mine. He also added about how unbelievable it was for someone like him to give birth to such adorable babies. Finally, he murmured that besides the first bouts of pain, it felt that everything happened too fast. He even asked himself with his brows furrowed if childbirth was supposed to be this quick and easy?

I let him do his thing and just stood next to him quietly, watching over the babies too. I just couldn’t help but giggle on his last statement. I then replied that this benefit is only available to my husbands.

I am not sure about how other women do it in their families but I am trying to make it as easy as possible for the men in my family to go through the pregnancy and birthing of the children. What is the point of me studying a ton of subjects on pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, health, nutrition etcetera, if I did not apply it within my own family.

While Kayden was still busy watching the children sleep, I called my father-in-law inside the room so him, his son and his grandkids can have some alone time. As for me, I need to leave for a bit to prepare some nourishing food for my husband.

When I got out of the room, my father-in-law walked in and as he passed by me, I whispered to him to tell Kayden to start thinking of what names to give the children. He looked at me in surprise since usually the matriarch of the family name all the children born in the household and the men could only suggest but the final decision is not theirs. I smiled at him and he understood that I was different and did not follow the norm.

When I got into the dining area, I saw Ioannis sitting in one of the cushioned seats in the living room. From where he was seated, he watching the kids playing on the carpeted floor in the middle of the room as they used telekinesis to move things around them.

Their choice of game was kind of weird. I saw Ianthe was throwing plushies towards Iosef usong telekenesis while Iosef was crawling around to avoid them. Whenever Iosef couldn’t avoid the toys, he used a shield to deflect the plushies back to Ianthe who blocks it with her own shield.

I shook my head with a smile. Well, as long as nobody is hurt and the two are enjoying their time then it is fine. Ioannis doesn’t look worried and seems like he is already used to them playing these types of games. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

I went to the kitchen to prepare some porridge, warm oat milk and some fresh fruits. I also brought out some butter cookies and fruit juice. I carried everything in my storage instead of using a cart.

I left the cookies and juice with Ioannis and the twins with a kiss each on their cheeks. I then moved up to deliver the porridge, fresh fruits and some warm oat milk to Kayden. Both husbands’ cheeks flushed as they gratefully accepted their food.

After his meal, Kayden looked at me with twinkling and happy eyes as if he was about to ask for a huge favor. I looked back at him and chuckled. I told him to just tell me what he wants. He simply said that he had thought of the perfect names for the babies.

I nodded my head with a doting smile on my face but he effect was he became nervous all of a sudden. He took a deep breath and started explaining that he always thought that when the time comes that he had children, they would hopefully be his loyal companions for life, taking care of each other and having each others back since they are his flesh and blood. He said that he honestly did not expect anything from the mother of his future children since he did not have a mother figure per se growing up.

I do know the story of his childhood from the stories him and his father told me so I have an idea where all these thoughts came from. I did not speak so it made him even more nervous. He hurriedly clarified that he thinks differently now and he counted himself as lucky for choosing the right wife but he still wants to name the children the same way, his little loyal companions.

I smiled at him and asked what were the names he chose for the babies. He said that he chose KHALIL for the little boy and KARA for the little girl which both mean beloved and loyal companions or friends.

I couldn’t help but notice that both their names started with the letter K, not that I am complaining. Ioannis did the same for our first set of twins with their names starting with letter I, just like his name.

I told Kayden that he chose the names well and they were beautiful. After hearing me praise his choices, that was the only time he seemed to have sighed in relief. He excitedly gave me a hug afterwards while thanking me for letting him choose the babies’ names.
