Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 130: A walking disaster
Nothing bad should happen... right?
Vincent was here.
Yuel was here.
Everyone was here.
Xarion also looked... more or less normal.
So nothing should go wrong.
Definitely nothing would go wrong.
Yuel sat down beside Rory and asked softly, "Rory, are you hungry?"
Rory had taken a nutrient supplement in the morning, but she’d always been used to eating proper meals. "Yeah."
Once Yuel mentioned it, she really did feel a bit hungry. She immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet. "Let’s go to the kitchen and make something to eat."
Yuel nodded. "You teach me. I’ll do the cooking."
The two of them went into the kitchen. Rory glanced at the exotic beast meat stored in the preservation unit and said to Yuel, "Let’s make some barbecue."
"Alright." Yuel took out the meat she indicated and handled it exactly as she instructed.
He was already good-looking—but watching him work so seriously made him even more striking.
Rory looked at him for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Yuel... after we eat, are you going back to work?"
Even though Yuel had just lectured Vincent and Jasper earlier, Rory knew he wouldn’t truly abandon his duties.
In the front hall, she’d noticed that the moment he had free time, he was already processing work on his communicator.
"Mm." Yuel nodded and paused what he was doing, his voice full of apology.
"Rory, I’m really sorry. I was missing on the outer battlefield for so long, and now that I’m back, there’s simply too much work waiting for me. I won’t be able to stay by your side these next few days."
Not being able to accompany Rory and take care of her made him feel deeply guilty.
"It’s okay. Your work is important." Rory wasn’t bothered by it.
"Don’t worry about me, Yuel. Vincent and the others will take good care of me. And I can take care of myself just fine."
Yuel was a commander—his work concerned the safety of the entire Empire.
Rory would never hold him back.
"Thank you, Rory." Having her support made Yuel genuinely happy.
He washed his hands, then took out four leaves and handed them to her.
"Rory, keep these. If I’m not around and you feel unwell or get injured, eat one. If Vincent or the others are injured, you can give them one too."
Rory had already seen how powerful his leaves were the night before when he fed one to Paros.
Yuel only grew seven leaves to bloom a single flower. After his recovery, he’d produced just that one flower.
That meant he only had seven leaves total.
One had gone to Paros.
One to Jasper. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
One to Vincent.
Only four remained.
Now he was handing all four to her.
Wouldn’t that leave him completely bare?
Rory kept three leaves and returned one to him. "If you give them all to me, you won’t have any left. You keep this one."
Yuel looked down at the leaf in his palm, deep blue eyes filled with warmth.
"Rory, I can’t use this myself. Leaves I grow are useless to me."
After all, he couldn’t very well eat himself. "My injuries are fully healed now. As long as I don’t completely exhaust my abilities, even if I’m hurt, I’ll recover quickly."
Hearing this, Rory finally understood. She felt reassured and put the leaves away.
Jasper came over just as Yuel finished cutting the meat.
"Are you making barbecue? I can do it—I know how."
Jasper washed his hands and started preparing the marinade.
"Rory, just leave this to Yuel and me. Go rest for a bit. When the barbecue’s ready, we’ll come get you."
Jasper had already mastered barbecue, and what he made now was even better than Rory’s.
Leaving the kitchen to Jasper and Yuel, Rory happily went to the living room. She sat on the sofa and opened her communicator, scrolling through recent news.
To her surprise, the most discussed topic lately was a female named Mindy Lane.
Ever since arriving in the Central District, Mindy had been extremely high-profile.
Wherever she went, she was surrounded by crowds, the center of attention. Even the companions by her side had all been replaced—none of the ones Rory had seen before remained.
Rory looked at the latest headline that popped up:
[Mindy Lane, the female once saved by divine fire of the Blood Moon, is about to bond with the Golden-Winged Roc Clan’s young lord.]
The Golden-Winged Roc Clan’s young lord?
Rory remembered—that was the blond guy, Sylas Ruan. He’d also been one of her matches.
He moved fast.
They hadn’t even fully dissolved their match yet, and he was already preparing to bond with Mindy Lane.
Rory didn’t dwell on it.
Although Sylas Ruan hadn’t completely severed his match with her, he wasn’t Mindy’s matched partner.
If he wanted to bond with her, he’d still have to start as a follower. It would take at least a year before a formal bond.
By then, Rory’s side would have long since completed the dissolution. There wouldn’t be any real impact.
She continued scrolling when she suddenly rubbed her arms.
The temperature in the house was regulated by energy stones.
Yuel always kept the living room between twenty-two and twenty-five degrees, just the way Rory liked it.
Why had it suddenly turned so cold?
Rory lifted her head—and out of the corner of her eye, she saw the door to Xarion’s room.
Her pupils contracted sharply.
She tossed her communicator aside and sprinted toward his room. The white door was already covered in frost.
Rory kicked it open.
A bone-chilling wave of cold slammed into her, making her shiver violently. The entire room had become a frozen world.
Xarion lay quietly in the ice crystal coffin, eyes closed. That terrifying cold was radiating from him.
This was ability backlash—loss of control.
Rory had seen it mentioned on her communicator before. According to the information, loss of control happened when mental power spiraled out of control.
It required immediate soothing to calm the rampaging mental energy.
An eleventh-rank powerhouse losing control—Rory didn’t even dare imagine the consequences.
She didn’t hesitate for even a second. Her finger shot forward and pressed against Xarion’s brow.
Thankfully, Xarion hadn’t closed the lid of the ice crystal coffin. Otherwise, with his abilities out of control, Rory wouldn’t have been able to open it at all.
The instant her finger touched his skin, it was coated in frost.
Her hand nearly froze solid. But in the next moment, a warm force enveloped her completely.
The frost on her hand dissipated.
Vincent appeared beside Rory, his power spreading outward to cover the entire estate.
He sealed the manor, preventing Xarion’s runaway ice abilities from spreading. At the same time, he protected Rory as she soothed Xarion.
If an eleventh-rank like Xarion lost control without restraint, he could freeze half the Central District.

Meanwhile, outside the door, Jasper and Yuel stared grimly as terrifying cold surged through the estate.
If not for Vincent’s barrier, the cold would have already spilled outside. Any beastman below the eleventh rank would die instantly if they touched it. Protected by Vincent, they could barely remain standing.
"Is this really the power released by an eleventh-rank losing control?"
It was horrifying.
Jasper’s expression kept changing as he watched the raging cold. If Vincent hadn’t reacted in time, they’d all be dead.
Yuel’s face was just as dark. "Now I understand why the Snow Domain was willing to pay just to get rid of him. This guy... is a walking disaster."
Compared to this, his constant talk of death was nothing.
This kind of ability backlash... That was truly deadly.
