It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 206: Dangerous step
Ethan stood in front of the bed frozen for a full minute before he reacted. Reaching to touch Petal’s face. He felt the wetness on her face. Tears were sliding down from her closed eyes. There wasn’t any movement from her body but she was crying.
"Petal," Ethan called in a low voice fearing that he might scare her. There wasn’t any reply.
"Why are you crying? Are you in pain?" He was worried that she might be in pain but once again. There wasn’t any form of reply.
Ethan sighed, lowering his head. He was angry and disappointed. For a second. He thought that she finally decided to wake up and the long painful waiting time was over. Running his hands through his hair. He swallowed the lump in his throat trying not to cry. He promised her that he will be strong. That he will wait for her. That he won’t lose hope. But it is easier said than done. He missed looking into her hazel eyes so much to the point that it hurts.
Cupping her face. Ethan kissed her tears away before he pleased his forehead on hers."I’m here with you. Waiting for the day you wake up." He whispered to the sleeping girl believing that she was hearing him.
Ethan called the team of doctors who are supervising Petal’s medical conditions to run a full check-up. Watching over them as they examined her. Making sure that they wear treating her body gently.

5Three months later.
Layla came back from work late again, It was already morning. Walking towards her room. She dragged her body towards the bed and laid down.
For the past three months, this was her life routine. Leaving in the evening for the bar and coming back in the morning. Both she and Jacob don’t interact a lot. As he sleeps most of the day to the night and by the time she goes to her work he is still sleeping or just woke up. He wasn’t the nagging type. He doesn’t ask her about anything or tries to force himself on her. Both of them mind their own business.
Hearing the rumbling of her stomach. Layla sighed. She hadn’t eaten dinner. Standing up. She changed into something more comfortable before she walked out of the room going toward the kitchen. It was six in the morning. Jacob hasn’t come back. She noticed when she saw the door to his room open. Entering the kitchen. She started to prepare something for herself to eat.
Sitting in the chair. She placed her cereal with a full bowl on that table and started to eat. She decided to eat her breakfast since it was already morning. Picking up her strawberry fresh made juice. She took a sip from it.
Once she finished her breakfast. She stood up and put the dishes in the sink to wash them. Because of the sound of the running water in the sink. Layla didn’t hear the door to the apartment being opened.
Jacob closed the door and walked straight towards his room only to stop midway and walk backward taking a glance at the sight in the kitchen. Layla was in a mini sleeping shirt. Standing in front of the sink washing the dishes.
folding his arms. He leaned against the entrance of the kitchen. He stood there watching her. Her legs were in full exposure for his eyes. Had noticed her since she started to live here. Layla is a staining girl. With a strong character. Just his type. But Jacob wasn’t the relationship type. He’s more of a one-night fling.
Layla was different. She is a person who’s already had a bad experience on her shoulders. That’s why he ignored her and ignored the fact that she was hot. Her beautiful smile and her warm voice. Her fluffy red hair. At first, he thought that she was dyeing it but it turned out that it was her natural hair color.
"Oh, God. You scared me." Layla who was scared of her said. Placing her hand on her chest she patted it.
"I’m sorry." Jacob simply said. His eyes stared intensely at her.
"It’s alright. I’m going to sleep." Layla said. Embarrassed by her state of clothes. She walked towards the kitchen exit. Layla wanted to step out of it but Jacob blocked her way.
Layla gulped softly and peered up at him."Jacob." She called him.
Layla hated the fact that she was attracted to him. He’s dishevly handsome. A dangerous kind of a man, The kind that mothers wore their daughters with. The bad boy kind.
Jacob moved closer to her and she didn’t step back. He liked how her blue eyes were staring at him right now. A pink hoe appeared on her cheeks. Embarrassed by her state of clothes and the fact that he was blocking her way. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Layla wasn’t stupid. Both had noticed the sexual attraction between them but both chose to ignore it. Both are busy with their lives.
A little fun won’t harm anybody. Layla heard a voice in the back of her head.
Taking a step closer to him. Layla peered up at him. Drooling over him. Jacob was just her kind. The tough-sensitive guy. The type who will make love to his woman savagely but treat her tenderly after it. The naughty thoughts made her shiver with excitement.
"Your Drooling." Jacob pointed, holding her chin between his fingers. Gently rubbing his thumb over her lower lip feeling its softness.
"I know." She replied honestly and how can’t she!
She had made her decision and was willing to take a dangerous step.
Jacob chuckled and reached to tug a hair behind her ear.
