The following is a section from [Teleportation Arrays 101], titled, [The Dangers of Interference].

...

One of the most effective, if underhanded, tactics one can use when fighting a war is to cut off an army’s supply line.

Burn their ships.

Slaughter their horses.

Loot their caravans.

As long as one take such actions, they can significantly weaken an army without even having to engage them in combat. However, there is precisely one method of transport that must never be interrupted.

[Teleporation Arrays].

New novel chapt𝒆rs are published on ƒгeewebnovёl.com.

Whether they’re short range minor arrays or long range major arrays matters not, both types would be treated with the same amount of respect and would not be attacked in any way, shape or form.

As for the reason why, it’s due to the simple fact that if a teleportation array is ever attacked while it is every active, the consequences would be dire not just to the people making use of the array, but for the attacker themselves, and the people around them.

Teleportation requires a lot of aether to be condensed before being possible, as the aether needs to be used to create a protective coating around a person as they move through the aether itself. Once that person finishes teleportation, that coating has to be removed by the other array before the person can safely move on.

Interrupting this process in a aggressive manner will result in a catastrophic explosion with a ninety-five percent mortality rate.

Not even making the use of ranged aether arts would keep the attacker safe, as the aformentioned explosion would chain react with the aether trail created from the attack.

Under these circumstances, it is an unspoken yet shared rule that any teleportation arrays used by either side in a war, are considered to be "safe zones".

...

Addendum: Evidently, only the attacker of a teleporation array will suffer possibly fatal consequences, due to the highly condensed aether needing an outlet. As for the teleported themselves, they’ll survive the initial attack, but they’ll also be forced to follow that outlet at speeds that makes lighting look slow.

What happens after that is up to their own ability as a warrior, and the heavens themselves.

...

Librarian notes:

P: The text fails to mention that when [Chaos] gets involved, the effects get even more random. Well, that and the fact that teleportation is not just travelling through aether, there’s a whole...dimension of stuff.

L: In fairness, a lot of those energies are intertwined to the point of being imperceptible or considered "impurities". Also, the effect isn’t that random, namely a lot of pain, but the location is randomized.

P:Quit undermining my creepy factor.

L:No.

BOOM!

"XIAO LIU!"

"AAAAAAAHHHHH," Zhen Liu screamed in pain as the desert glass blade struck him while he was teleporting into his home clan’s cavern.

Thanks to the kaijin, Zhen Liu knew exactly what the thing causing him pain was, and how it got here. However, he didn’t think it would’ve actually ended up hurting him since he was assured there was a one in a million chance that it would’ve landed right on top of him.

Then again, perhaps this was just yet another manifestation of his incredibly bipolar luck.

Either way, Zhen Liu was screaming in painful agony due to the mixture of high quality aether and [Chaos] interfering with the teleportation array, turning his bubble of safety into a bubble of electrocution.

Making matters worse, he wasn’t the only feeling this pain.

...Outskirts of the battlefield...

[Okay guys, we’re approaching the battlefield. Make sure to stick to each other and-GAAAAAAHHHH!]

Simultaneously, all of the kaijin that were running from the [Library of Nowhere] to Stone Claw’s battlefield had suddenly doubled over in pain and began convulsing on the ground.

All of them felt as if their bodies were on fire, and that every molecule of their existence was being electrocuted.

However, this pain in their body was nothing compared to the worrying implications.

[M-maestro’s...in trouble!]

[What do we do?!]

[I...I don’t know...]

...On the battlefield...

[Damn, that’s a might fine statue.]

[Indeed.]

[A little lopsided though.]

[Yeah...]

Arcahnidame and Lacerage had done an excellent job in defeating their [Sand Devil], turning the monster into a literal glass statue after trapping it in a tornado made of hellfire.

And now they were free to go about and-

[GAAAAAAHHH!]*2

-and double over in pain as they felt as if their bodies were set aflame while they were actively being tased.

[The young master is...in trouble!]

...On another continent...

Clatter! Crash!

"Kit? Kit!"

"Rodenia, what’s wrong!"

"My...my head...feels like it’s splitting open," Kit managed to say while leaning against a wall and rubbing their temples.

"My head hurts bad. Really, really bad!," Rodenia cried as she grabbed the sides of her head as if she was trying to hold it in place.

Due to their unusual natures of creation, Kit and Rodenia only had to deal with a significantly more watered down version of what Zhen Liu was going through at this moment.

Though, a splitting headache still sucked.

...In caverns submerged...

"Blerg!"

"Urgh!"

"Gah!"

"Guh..."

"Lady Jin Fang? Neo Storm Knights! What’s wrong?!," Terra asked in alarm.

Moments ago, she, Jin Fang and the Neo Storm Knights were in the middle of training in the courtyard of Storm Castle.

But then that training came to an abrupt end when all three of the Neo Storm Knights began to fall over in pain, while Jin Fang herself seemed to be dealing with a migraine.

One would think Terra would’ve recognized why this was happening given her heritage, but she only ever got to see the Kaijin side things. This was the first time she ever seen what happens when a Kaijin Lord is in danger.

"Captain’s...in...trouble," Wavebreaker managed to squeak out after much effort. "Something...went wrong...back at...Stone Claw."

"Make it stop, make it stop!," Shellvalier yelled while banging his fists against his shelled head, causing an echoing clanging sound to reverberate throughout the castle.

"Shelly...you shouldn’t...bang your head like that. It’s very...loud," Slug-at-arms attempted to joke but failed due to the pain.

Out of everyone present, only Jin Fang kept a quiet tongue... externally at least.

Internally, she was incredibly worried.

After all, her beloved was going through incredible agony and she couldn’t even by his side to provide comfort. Or at the very least, chide him for being in such a situation in the first place.

’You better stay alive, Xiao Liu. Otherwise, I’ll bring you back just so I can kill you!,’ Jin Fang told herself in order to strengthen her heart.

Although in truth, she was afraid of the worst.

...Inside of Zhen Liu...

[Gah! No! Can’t...make it...worse...]

As a spiritual body Kaijin, Blazejudicator could feel everything that Zhen Liu was going through right now and wanted to scream for him...but they couldn’t.

If he did, then Zhen Liu’s ability to think would become more shot than it already was, so she stayed as quiet as possible.

But that was easier said than done at the moment.

[Need something...to distract myself...wait, what about...]

...Now back to Zhen Liu...

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

’Wait...gotta...focus...’

However, despite being in so much pain that most of his thoughts were basically turning into a dial tone, Zhen Liu was still cognizant enough to understand that he had to mentally prepare for what was going to happen next.

Namely, that he was going to be going on a little trip.

’Need...to...do...internal... reinforcements.’

As a scion for a prestigious clan, and owner of an infinite library, Zhen Liu knew that he was about to send towards the source of the blade that caused this moment to happen in the first place.

In other words, he was about to be sent to the front lines of this battle, way before the others could catch up. Therefore, he knew it was necessary to reinforce his body at least before he made impact.

However, because he was in screaming pain, he forgot to account for something rather important.

[Chaos], naturally, reacted with aether in weird and unpredictable ways when not used for combat purposes.

And right now, Zhen Liu was trying to use this stuff while actively coated in a very thick layer of the stuff.

Technically speaking, the smart thing to do would’ve been to use Blazejudicator to take over his body, and turn himself into a living fireball and have an incredibly awesome entrance into the battlefield he was going to be forced in.

However...smart decision-making tends to die once enough pain is involved, and most people default to what they knew.

And right now, Zhen Liu knew to use [Chaos].

’I...gotta...’

BWOOM

’Wait a minute, what the fuck?’

In the exact moment that Zhen Liu began to circulate [Chaos] throughout his body, it started a chain reaction that would have two immediately noticeable consequences.

One that was very positive for everyone in Stone Claw.

And one that was going to be...rather questionable for everyone outside of that city.
