Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?-Chapter 1148: Warp Cannon, Fire!
Meanwhile, at the Library of Nowhere...
<=Whoa, what the hell?!=>
When Zhen Liu got caught up in his teleportation getting interrupted, Logos and Pathos went into overdrive trying to figure out a way to get him out of it.
While they weren’t worried about him dying, due to Zhen Liu having an unusually resilient body, they were worried about any psychological effects.
The moment they realized that their Lord was of Otherlander stock, like one of their previous ones, they made sure to brush up on any and all issues that could pop up with them.
Otherlanders were one of those secrets that were recorded but only known to a select few, and those select few recorded that Otherlanders could get...weird.
Really weird.
And in order to prevent their current lord from reaching this level of weirdness, the curator spirits did all they could to prevent such an outcome. Unfortunately, they were a little late.
By the time that they were ready to deploy their solution and get their lord out of the situation he was in, he had accidentally accelerated it in a manner neither of them would have predicted.
But that wasn’t the worst part.
The worst part was that when their Lord had begun to circulate [Chaos] throughout his body, it had interacted with the teleportation array and the energy that had led to this situation. This led to a reaction that had messed with their connection to Zhen Liu’s mind and the [Seal of the Kaijin], messing with how information was exchanged between them and the Library.
At least, for the time being.
If Zhen Liu could make it back to the library after the battle, then he would be able to get Logos and Pathos time to fix these aforementioned issues.
Alas, that was going to take awhile.
=What in the name of-=
<Is that a cannon? Did our lord just encapsulate himself in a fucking cannon? Why?!>
=I don’t know, but it appears to have lined itself up in the direction of the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] and is about to blow in three...=
...
’Two...one!’
KABOOM!
"Oh gods!"
"Xiao Liu?!"
When Zhen Hai and Zhen Feng saw the initial impact, they had assumed the worst. They had honestly thought that their fourth cousin was now going to be nothing more than a bloodstain on the ground or telefragged into a million pieces.
Which is why they were absolutely flabbergasted when they saw their cousin suddenly become encapsulated by a giant cannon made of [Chaos] and aether, only to be subsequently launched out of the cavern and through the hole in the ceiling that was made earlier.
However, the one most shocked by this turn of events was Zhen Liu himself.
Who was screaming like a banshee at the moment.
"Aiiyeeeeeeee!"
One would think after having fought a giant murderous robotic centisnake, a gothic horror knock-off super villain, multiple mutant monstrosities, blood enemies of both the historical and newer variety and a giant robotic kaiju with a dragon skull for a head, that nothing would phase Zhen Liu, but alas, that wasn’t the case.
Then again, getting launched out of a teleportation array like a cannonball was probably something that didn’t normally happen to someone.
On the plus side, he was no longer in pain and could now think properly...despite being airborne. Unfortunately, this was also when Zhen Liu discovered just how bad of a situation he actually was in.

’Logos, Pathos, what the fuck is going on?!’
...
’Logos? Pathos? Come in?’
...
’Uh oh...wait... Nepherage, Frosttusk, Hurricroak? Can you hear me?’
...
’Razorstella, Screamira, Spingerdermain?’
...
’Arachnidame, Lacerage?’
...
’Blazejudicator?!’
[Huh?]
’Oh thank the gods,’ Zhen Liu said with a sigh of relief. ’I thought I was cut off from all of the kaijin, what’s happening right now?Are you still connected to the library? I can’t connect to Logos and Pathos, but I can feel them.’
[Alright, calm down Executor. I just need to...oh. Uh oh.]
’Uh oh? Why uh oh?’
[It appears that while our connection to each other is still in-tact, our connection to the other kaijin and the library has become...distorted. Other than knowing we’re connected to each other, it appears we can’t send any information through it. We’re essentially gonna be on our own until we get back to the library and fix this up.]
’Oh, that’s not too bad then.’

[Well, say that until after we figure out whether or not impacting the Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant can stop our momentum.]
’Say what?’
[Look ahead.]

"Oh, balls!"
From the inside of his cannon ball, Zhen Liu could see that he was rapidly approaching the most climatic battle of this entire invasion, the one between his great grandaunt and the leader of the Beast Tide, the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant].
"You have got to be shitting me!"
From what Zhen Liu could see, but not hear, his great grandaunt was in the middle of a slugfest with the aforementioned tyrant.
Normally, such straightforward attacks wouldn’t work on something like the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant], due to their sandstorm-like body making it very easy for them to deform their body and dodge in unpredictability strange ways.
However, this advantage turned out to be for naught.
From what Zhen Liu could see though, Zhen Xun Tian, more specifically her [Avatar], was punching at such a high speed that her fists were able to make contact regardless of whether or not the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] was able to deform its body in time.
In response to this failure though, the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] decided that the best course of action was to hit back with equal vigor.
And right now, Zhen Liu was about to smash in head first into the two colliding leaders.
"Oh fuck a duck!," Zhen Liu cursed as he braced himself for the worst.
On his current trajectory, he was very likely to impact the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] with a chance of the blow being enough to stop his momentum and knock him on to his ass.
This would’ve been slightly humiliating, but it also gave him a chance to go to the library and get a check-up.
With his luck though, there was a chance that he impacted Zhen Xun Tian in the back and turned this battle around in an unfavorable direction.
Bad luck had already got him into this situation, any additional bad luck would just be compounding interest.
What actually happened was...a little mix of both.
THOOOM!
"HOLY-!"
Through sheer good luck, Zhen Liu didn’t impact his great grandmother and blasted a fatal hole right through the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant].
Through sheer bad luck though, the impact did little to slow down his momentum in the slightest.
"Oh fuck."
Zhen Liu wasn’t sure where the fuck he is as about to end up, but he was definitely going to land somewhere unfamiliar and away from his support system.
"Goddammit it’s just like college again."
Needless to say, he wasn’t having a good time.
...
"What..."
"...the..."
"...fuck?"
On the battlefield near Stone Claw’s walls, everyone was dead silent as they tried to figure out what had just happened.
One minute, Zhen Xun Tian and the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] were fighting each other to determine who was going to have their skull caved in first.
The next, a screaming ball of [Chaos] and aether appeared out of fucking nowhere and killed the leader of the Beast Tide in one shot though the torso.
Evidently, everyone needed answers but no one seemed to have them.
"Oh fuck!"
"Dammit, dammit, dammit!"
Until those answer bringers came screaming into the scene and on top of Stone Claw’s walls.
Zhen Hai and Zhen Feng looked absolutely exhausted, since they essentially ran across the city got the sake of catching up to a certain screaming cannonball.
Unfortunately, they only managed to reach a parapet where their cousins were standing before stopping altogether.
Needless to say, the scions were confused as all hell at this moment.
"Zhen Hai, Zhen Feng," Zhen Yue began to ask, "why the fuck were you running so hars and where’s Zhen Liu at?"
"Also, why were you chasing that big ball of light?," Zhen Xing added.
"That...big ball of light," Zhen Feng answered between heavy breaths, "was Zhen Liu!"
"I see...wait , what?!"
Once this little nugget of information was shared, even more answers were demanded. Thankfully, Zhen Hai picked up where Zhen Feng left off.
"When we were teleporting in, Zhen Liu had came in the exact same time as this big ass piece of desert glass fell through the cavern ceiling and landed right in top of him! Before either Zhen Feng or I could act, he suddenly turned into that cannonball thing and flew off!"
"We tried to catch up as best as we could," Zhen Feng managed to say after catching his breath. "But he was moving way too fast for us to catch up."
"And now..."
"And now our cousin is flying off to parts unknown...FUCK!"
