King's Rule: Creating the Strongest Kingdom With My Broken Talent-Chapter 6: Cottage House & Tailoring Set
As he returned to the territory, he saw Arga there, but not Rovina.
Kayan was sleeping.
The other people who had arrived here yesterday had woken up, but not all of them.
Vesh went to speak with Arga, who relayed the information Kayan had gathered during yesterday’s scouting.
"It’s good he brought the people. We needed them." Vesh smiled. "I’ll go talk to them and reassure them that they are welcome here."
"Yeah, they need it." Arga nodded. "Rovina went to hunt some wild game like rabbits and turkeys, so I’ll prepare the tools. The stones can be turned into good cutting tools with my flames."
"Sounds great." Vesh grinned. "I also have a surprise to show for later."
Vesh went to meet them, and the leader quickly went to greet him upon seeing him coming there.
They were waking up others to greet him, but Vesh quickly waved his hand and said. "Leave them be. Don’t wake them up."
He smiled and said. "First of all, I welcome all of you here. You don’t have to wander to find a place anymore."
"And I will also try to do something about your illness. I can’t guarantee we’ll be able to cure it, but we’ll do our best."
The leader directly knelt on the ground, his voice shaky. "Thank you. Thank you so much for your generosity."
The others who were awake also knelt, but Vesh quickly told them to get up.
"One more thing. Never in your life should you kneel before me or others from now on. As they say, kneel only before your parents and gods."
The leader smiled at Vesh with tears dripping. "To us, you are our god."
Vesh wryly smiled. "Alright, get up. That’s enough. If you are well-rested and can work, follow me. We’ll start developing our territory."
...
The leader of this group was named Wihawk. A man in his forties with sufficient guts and adequate knowledge of basic things. It was him that led his village’s people to survive so far, travelling over a hundred kilometres in a month before arriving here.
The illness was slowly eating them away, so they were really at the end of their rope.
As Kayan said, if he hadn’t led them here, they would’ve died.
But after eating and resting, everyone had regained some energy to fight against the illness and slow it down.
Physical activity was also important, so Vesh put these able men and women to work in the Grinder and Sawmill.
Four of them worked in those places, producing 1 plank per 10 Wood blocks and 1 Brick per 10 Stone blocks.
The machinery was very simple and easy to use, so they began producing the stuff right away.
[Congratulations. You have partially completed the Ill-Fated Wanderers Side Quest.]
’Perfect.’
Vesh sent two other people to farm for Wood Blocks and Stone Blocks after giving them the tools, and then checked the rewards.
—> Blueprint: Cottage House (D-rank).
—> Blueprint: Tailoring Set (D-rank).
[Cottage House]
[Rank: D]
[Cost: 10 Plank, 10 Bricks.]
Vesh saw the 3D hologram of the house.
It had two rooms, one kitchen, and two bathrooms already built!
’This is amazing. There are also basic tools in the kitchen.’ Vesh was surprised.
Looking at the cost, Vesh had to wait before he could build these Cottage Houses.
The production rate of Grinder and Plank was the same. 1 per minute.
60 Plank and 60 Bricks per hour.
Fortunately, it was also easy to get Wood and Stone Blocks thanks to the magic tools.
Vesh checked the other blueprint next. It was not one, but a set of blueprints. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
[Tailoring Set]
— Tailoring House.
— Tannery.
— Clothing Bench.
— Tailoring Tools.
[Cost: 50 Plank, 50 Bricks, 10 Iron Ingot.]
[Production]
— D-rank shirt/dress, pants, boots, gloves, under garments.
— D-rank Leather (Requires Animal Hide to produce Leather in the Tannery).
’Interesting. But I need 10 Iron Ingot, and I don’t know how to get them.’
[You have to find a location of an Iron Vein and farm Iron Ore from there. Once you find it, you will be rewarded with the blueprint of the Furnace, which can turn iron ore into an iron ingot.]
’I see.’
[Your first question of the day is answered. Two remain.]
Vesh blinked. ’I’d better not ask carelessly.’
He went to Arga, who was preparing tools and stoves using Stone Blocks and his Fire Mastery.
"I’m going out for a bit to search for some stuff." Vesh thought for a moment and said. "An hour of exploration before I return."
"Alright." Arga nodded. "Also, we have no one on the watch tower, so can you tell those remaining able people to be on the lookout one by one?"
"Sounds good. I’ll tell them." Vesh nodded.
Vesh went to their camp and told them about the watch tower.
"Just decide your numbers, and go only if you can climb stairs stably." Vesh smiled. "And food will be ready once Rovina comes back with the meat."
After that, Vesh left with a jolly mood.
’People are treasures. Treating them as such will only bring benefits. Now, I just hope more people come here.’
In the camp, an old man began crying. "We are really saved to have found such a lord."
"Mum, will we eat to a full stomach again?" A child looked at his mother with shining eyes.
"Yes, we will...We will."
...
Vesh walked for a hundred meters east before stopping.
Kayan had found a path roughly one kilometer from here. It in that path he encountered Wilhawk and his people.
According to him, there was nothing useful in this stretch to the east.
’What if I use King’s Rule...to manipulate myself into finding an Iron Vein?’
Vesh’s eyes glinted.
’King’s Rule. After roaming around, I find an Iron Vein. But...cancel this rule if there’s a threat to my life on the way.’
[King’s Rule Created]
[Rule Difficulty: D]
Vesh blinked. ’Here it comes.’
His body began moving on its own.
’Let’s hope it’s not too far.’
Vesh was enjoying the scenery while his legs moved on their own.
His priority was marking the trees and boulders so he could return by tracing them.
The direction he was going turned out to be north. There were mountains there, it made sense that Iron Ore was there.
’But are there any magical beasts?’
Vesh looked at his status and the knowledge he could feel ingrained in his mind and body.
[Vesh Auris]

Vesh grinned. ’I am gaining talents by first drawing my potential, so basically, I will always know how to use my talents. This is perfect. I am a C-rank Swordsman now, I should be fine.’
’If there’s a danger to my life, I’ll know immediately, as it would break the king’s rule.’
Vesh tightened the grip on his Wind Sword as he continued moving towards the unknown territory.
