Kissed and Seduced By the Most Rough Man in the Village-Chapter 86: Two Men Tougher Than Jiang Yexun
Su Xiaoxiao blinked nervously. With her brother’s arrival imminent, she didn’t want to deceive her boyfriend any further. Jiang Yexun saw her like this and understood what was going on. He knew that her future brother-in-law wouldn’t be easy to deal with.
If he had a cute sister like Su Xiaoxiao, he wouldn’t allow despicable men to have ill intentions towards her either. He would consider himself a failure as her older brother if he let that happen. In fact, he might even break that man’s third leg into pieces, let alone the two regular ones.
However, Jiang Yexun realized that he was currently the "despicable man" in the eyes of his future brother-in-law, and a sudden sense of phantom pain struck his lower regions. "Alright, I’ll do my best to endure the beating," Jiang Yexun sighed, accepting his fate.
Su Xiaoxiao, seeing his resigned expression, chuckled. "Don’t worry, if you’re really about to get beaten up, I’ll definitely intervene, or else my brother will have a widow sister."
Jiang Yexun squinted at her, as if he wanted to grab the little mischief-maker and take a bite out of her. But before he could do anything, someone entered the train carriage.
The new passenger, a young woman who appeared to be around twenty years old, looked well-dressed in a long beige dress and white shoes, almost as if she had stepped out of the 1970s and into the 1980s. Su Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but glance at her for a moment before quickly averting her eyes. However, the young woman noticed and looked back at her.
Su Xiaoxiao gave a polite smile, assuming the young woman would pass by and find a seat. But the woman stood near them with her ticket in hand and asked, "I have the upper berth here. Can I sit in one of your lower berths for a while?"
Jiang Yexun immediately and indifferently refused, "No."
The woman seemed slightly embarrassed by the rejection but turned to Su Xiaoxiao, hoping for a more accommodating answer.
Su Xiaoxiao didn’t want to be disturbed either, but since it was a public space, she quickly thought of a reasonable way to decline. However, before she could respond, Jiang Yexun interjected, "You only slept for three or four hours last night, and you need to catch up on rest."
Didn’t she already have a rest?
Su Xiaoxiao was a bit puzzled, but she didn’t show it on her face. Instead, she gave a polite smile to the female comrade.
The woman didn’t seem offended. "I’ll just find any lower bunk to sit in. I’ll go up to sleep when someone comes."
She carried her luggage and moved to another available lower bunk.
Su Xiaoxiao secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Jiang Yexun noticed her reaction and gently patted her head with a smile.
After a while, two more men entered the compartment, accompanying an elderly woman. They were dressed in plain blue shirts, appearing like ordinary villagers. However, unlike the typical reserved and straightforward demeanor of villagers, these three individuals had a somewhat intimidating presence, making them even harder to approach than Jiang Yexun.
As they passed by, Jiang Yexun maintained an indifferent gaze. Their eyes met briefly, but they didn’t linger and walked past their seats. It seemed like they had a brief conversation with the woman who arrived earlier, but she didn’t seem too interested in engaging with them.
The compartment fell into an eerie silence. Su Xiaoxiao couldn’t shake the feeling that the atmosphere had become unusually oppressive. She looked at Jiang Yexun, who had adopted a somewhat serious expression.
"What’s going on?" she asked.
"It’s nothing; you don’t need to worry about them," Jiang Yexun immediately softened and reassured her, patting her hand gently.
Su Xiaoxiao didn’t think further and snuggled closer to him. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Do you like that dress? I think it’s from the Friendship Store. I have foreign exchange tickets. If we have time, I’ll take you to the Shanghai and buy some nice clothes."
Su Xiaoxiao shook her head: "No need. My place is too cold in the winter. Even if I with such nice clothes, I can’t really go out."
Jiang Yexun’s face lit up with a smile. "Then wear them at home for me to see. Don’t you have a big adobe shed at your place? It’s windproof and rainproof. We can store plenty of firewood for the winter, so you won’t have to leave your bed all season."
Before he left, he had arranged for someone to watch over the construction of their new home, even helping gather firewood from the mountains. He bought firewood in bundles of five cents each—however much she needed. Now that he had a partner, he couldn’t spend all his time in the mountains; he had to save time to be with her.
"We can go take a look, but I’m not sure about buying clothes. We can buy some fabric and get a sewing machine. I can make my own clothes when we get back," Su Xiaoxiao replied.
She was certain that she didn’t want to buy things at the Friendship Store. At this time, one foreign exchange ticket in the black market could be sold for around a hundred yuan. Furthermore, the goods at the Friendship Store were all foreign-made and cost at least three to four times more than the ones at the Supply and Marketing Cooperative. They had only a limited amount of savings, which wouldn’t be enough.
However, when Jiang Yexun heard her response, a glint of light flickered in his eyes. "Do you know how to make clothes?"
