Chapter 82: Sunbathed Liquid

Fortunately for Kael, the ceiling of the Nether Realm was high, so the transfer went smoothly—especially since he didn’t find any monsters.

He was really hoping to stay away from Ghast. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Soon, he was before the small exit where he had to put the tower down.

With a thud, he dropped the tower on the ground, and it shook visibly, but Kael’s winds quickly set it in place.

With a deep exhale of pent-up air, Kael looked towards the room and found Rias waiting for him there, though he sensed something amiss within her gaze.

’Is she studying the Labyrinth?’ Kael wondered and went towards her, exiting the Labyrinth.

The moment he stepped outside, he noticed Rias’s gaze following him and stuck on his body. He raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Like what you see?"

"Certainly! You have a very good body," Rias admitted and continued admiring his physique with a change in her expression. It was as if nothing could deter her.

This was the first time Kael had met someone so nonchalant about such matters, so even he was stumped for words.

He shook his head and asked, "Are you ready?"

"We can start the transfer," Rias nodded, but her eyes still didn’t match his eyes.

Kael ignored her, letting her watch as much as she wanted. After all, if she wasn’t embarrassed, then why should he pay attention to it?

He entered the Labyrinth once again and chopped off a sizeable chunk from the Blackstone tower—enough to fit the room which acted as the safe zone.

Rias also didn’t waste any time and swiftly transferred the big block of Blackstone bricks back to the Great Storm Tree. For her, it was as easy as snapping her fingers whenever she was bringing inanimate objects with her.

When she came back, Kael had already filled the room with another block of bricks. Just as she was about to teleport, Kael asked, "Do you have to do this manually?"

"I don’t have Space Affinity, so I can’t teleport normally, nor do I know about Runes to make a Rune Formation," Rias replied casually before teleporting the bricks alongside her.

Kael shrugged and focused on the task at hand, continuing to shift the bricks to the room. In just a few turns, they had transferred all of the bricks to their destination.

Once the last batch was delivered, Rias came to take him back and frowned when she noticed him wearing the jacket.

Kael obviously noticed the disappointment in her eyes and was left speechless. He thought in exaggeration, ’Just how much do you want to ogle me, lady? If you weren’t a Demi-God, I wouldn’t have let you violate my privacy like this.’

[I really have a shameless Master.]

Rias grabbed his hand and was about to open the Astral Pathway when Kael reminded her, "We need to go to that hill to take the tree liquid, remember?"

Rias paused and then nodded indiscernibly.

In the next moment, Kael experienced the same strange sensations before he was thrown out into the physical world once again.

This time, they were standing atop the valley where Kael and the lion family had avenged themselves.

He quickly identified the location of the special trees and dashed toward it. With his incredible speed, he reached there in no time.

Standing amidst trees of mixed colors, Kael smiled. They looked like variants of rubber trees but were very thin and also of mixed rainbow colors.

They were also very low in number, as Kael quickly counted them and thought, ’Only twenty of them. I’ll need to think of a way to move them close to our place.’

He had already asked Alpha if he could do this, but apparently, these trees—known as Sunbathed Trees—were very special and could only grow in a unique location like this one.

There likely was some treasure underneath, related to the Authority of Sun, but Kael hadn’t dug it up yet.

’I’ll find someone with good Earth Affinity and let them do the transfer process. They should be able to do that.’

He shook off those thoughts and went towards one of the trees, taking out his leather water bottle. Then, he poured out the water inside and used his flames to get rid of even the last bit of moisture inside it.

Once that was done, he made a small diagonal cut in the tree’s trunk and put the leather bottle below it, ready to store the contents from the tree.

At first, nothing happened, but soon, a small stream of light red liquid came out of the tree and fell into the leather bottle. But it stopped right after, leaving the bottle filled with only a small portion of it.

Kael didn’t do anything and stood with clear patience in his eyes. He knew about the qualities of this tree, so he didn’t mind waiting—especially since he couldn’t afford to leave the tree like this to collect the Sunbathed Liquid...

Because of one reason.

In the next second, he sensed someone entering his [Beast Sense] range. He sighed and pushed back against the ground.

He quickly dealt with a small beast that had wandered off into the area and came back to stand guard near the tree.

The beast hadn’t come randomly, as the nectar from this tree attracted and intoxicated the living beings in the surroundings whenever it was taken out of the tree.

It was a kind of security mechanism used by the tree. Fortunately, they were still very close to the Giant Storm Tree, so there weren’t many powerful beasts around.

"Let me help you."

Rias’s calm, reassuring voice reached his ears, and he smiled. He was just about to relax his guard when his eyes snapped open as they locked onto the tree.

’It even managed to force its thoughts inside me? Are my defenses that weak?’ Kael snorted and waved his hand, as another Ant-Walker fell to the ground, its neck cut in half by the flame slash, its flesh sizzling.

In the next moment, Rias appeared beside him—and this time, he was sure that this one was real, as her presence couldn’t be replicated by any illusions.

She gave a nod at him and said, "I’ll look after it."
