Chapter 81: The Worker Organisation Would Like To Sue You

Kael expected the metal rods to make some interference in the teleportation and was going to ask Rias if they needed to shift them in batches. But then he remembered how she had casually teleported two giant lions along with them, so he shut his mouth.

Still, he didn’t want to experience the sensation of traveling through the Astral Pathway so soon, so he gave the task of shifting to Rias.

And it was a wonderful decision, as she did that in just a second and came back to accompany him.

"What the hell? How did you travel so fast?" Kael blurted out in surprise.

"When I travel alone, it is much easier. When I’m with you or anyone else, I also need to protect their Ether Bodies and also their Soul Bodies from the various dangers of the Astral World," Rias replied calmly.

Kael nodded in understanding and turned towards the dark entrance. Once he had settled everything back to normal outside, he headed downwards and entered the room again.

Without wasting any time, he pushed the gate as they creaked open, revealing the all-too-familiar world of crimson—the Nether Realm.

It was just as beautiful as ever... and hot too.

He entered the Labyrinth carefully while keeping an eye out for any ambush and heaved a sigh of relief when he didn’t notice anyone nearby, especially those skeletons.

They couldn’t harm him now, but they were still pretty annoying.

Just as he took a step forward, he realized something and looked to his sides, only to find them empty as if he had entered the Labyrinth all alone.

He turned around and found his beautiful companion still standing in that room, looking at him with a strange look in her eyes. She tried to say something, but the Labyrinth blocked it, so he only saw her lips moving.

Kael frowned and left the Labyrinth the same way he entered it. Stopping before Rias, he asked, "What happened? Why didn’t you enter?"

"It seems that the Labyrinth doesn’t welcome me inside, and if I forced my way in, something terrible will happen," Rias voiced out her thoughts. "I can feel it, so you will have to bring the materials here by yourself."

"Huh? If the Labyrinth didn’t allow you inside, then how are you here? This room is also a part of the Labyrinth," Kael asked in confusion, clearly remembering the barrier he had faced at the top of the stairs.

"That... I do not know, but I would rather not take any unnecessary risk until I have returned to my prime," Rias said and moved to the side. "I’ll wait for you here."

Kael gave a long look at her and the doors, finding it incredibly odd. ’Tharnyx didn’t want any Demi-Gods to enter the Labyrinth? Meaning there’s a limit, but what is it? And why is she allowed here but not the main Labyrinth? Is it because it’s a safe zone?’

There were many questions, and Alpha’s silence told him that even she didn’t know anything about this matter. She could only offer a few possible outcomes, but even Kael could do that.

’Whatever. Since it’s dangerous for her to enter, then I’ll just do the work alone.’ Kael shook his head and entered the First Floor of the Labyrinth—the Nether Realm—once again.

He didn’t cross the lava lake like last time and instead walked along its side till he encountered the Blackstones. There were hills upon hills made up of nothing but Blackstones, making his heart happy.

He quickly chose a good starting point, which was just the corner alongside the adjacent wall. Since he needed the Blackstones for the house, he needed them in the shape of bricks—which the stones were sadly not.

"Alpha, do I have anything through which I can quickly harvest these Blackstone Bricks?" Kael asked in frustration.

[No, Master. You have to do it manually.]

"Tsk! If only she could enter the Labyrinth, then this would have been so easy," Kael shook his head.

[Master... you are getting lazy.]

"Can’t a man complain about his work a little?" Kael rolled his eyes and flicked his right arm, transforming his right hand into [Draconic Claws].

Then, he dug them into the ground below and did a vertical swipe, sending three flaming slashes which cut the stones in perfect and symmetrical sizes.

Although this is tiresome, it’s still much better than personally carving them out.

He spent the next few minutes carving out the perfect sizes he would need from the Blackstones, which were also very heavy and absorbed heat within them.

Almost an hour later, he stood before a deep crater which now had small lava puddles at the bottom. He had cut out all the Blackstone from the area.

He smirked, feeling strangely proud of his work, and thought, ’This is called true hard work.’

[...Master, the worker organization wants to sue you in Interstellar Court.]

"Haha! You’ve learned to crack jokes, eh, little Alpha?" Kael chuckled and turned to his right, where a tall pillar of Blackstone bricks was towering over him.

He dusted off his hands, went towards the tower’s bottom, and lifted the almost ten-metre-tall black tower and put it on his shoulder.

Kael was also using the winds to support the tower so that it wouldn’t break and also become slightly lighter. Still, the tower was too heavy and made his muscles bulge out, and he had to get off his jacket to properly lift it.

His chiseled body was on full display as his silver hair fluttered in the crimson winds. Each step he took seemed to shape the very earth below him as he proceeded forward with a smile on his face.

’This is honestly very fun. Reminds me of the days I used to envy gym rats. Tsk! Those bastards should come and see this now.’

He talked to himself to ignore the weight on his shoulders, which was just yet another old habit of his that had accompanied him for a long time.

And it always worked—just like right now—as he easily covered the small distance towards the exit with those nonsensical thoughts.

In the lava world, he walked alone with a mountainous weight on his shoulder.

’Heh, it feels like I’m carrying the weight of the whole world on my shoulders. What a joke!’
