Chapter 169: Chapter 107: The Early Arrival of the Extraordinary Era! Becoming a One-Star Superman

It looks like someone beat me to it.

’Hm?’

’Could it be the mad madam?’

To clear a red-difficulty Lost Secret Realm, even a nerfed, standard version, would require at least five Divine Chosen Units comparable to the Winged Wilderness Wolf Cavalry.

Alternatively, one could have five Zero-star (Gold) Heroic Units and brute-force their way through with a stack of powerful skills and Talents, barely reaching a Zero-star (Red) level of combat power.

’Besides me...’

’...I’m afraid the only one capable would be the mad madam, who’s being propped up and spoon-fed resources by the entire Hafke Alliance.’

’...She could meet this requirement...’

’Wait!’

’That’s not necessarily true!’

’If it was that group of Evil God Players, they’d also have the chance to ascend and become Extraordinary Creatures right now!’

At this thought, the joy in Qin Feng’s heart instantly faded. It was replaced by a heavy sense of crisis and an urgent craving for even greater power.

Although he couldn’t be one hundred percent certain whether one or more Evil God Players had cleared this incredibly difficult Lost Secret Realm before he did, it was better to be safe than sorry.

When facing danger, only the most cautious could survive until the very end.

This was the survival creed Qin Feng had always lived by.

He had to operate under the worst-case assumption—that some Evil God Players had already ascended to become Extraordinary Creatures—and prepare to face those lurking in the Death Zone.

...

「Northern Forest.」

In the very center of a certain Death Zone.

An unnamed underground cavern.

A Void Gate floated in the center of the cavern’s depths, like a raw wound gouged into the fabric of the universe.

Eerie blue arcs of electricity flowed along the edges of the dark purple portal. Each bolt that struck the cavern walls burned honeycomb-shaped scorch marks into the rock. The air was thick with the pungent, mixed odor of ozone and sulfur.

Within the gate churned a roiling chaos. Gray-black currents of energy pulsed like a living creature, at times condensing into twisted tentacles that slapped against the portal’s edge, at others shifting into a shattered star map that flickered in the depths.

Any loose rock that drifted near the portal was instantly annihilated on contact, not even leaving ash behind. All that remained was a series of faint spatial ripples, spreading out slowly like those on the surface of water after a pebble is tossed in.

Su Mumu was lounging in a nearby wooden rocking chair. The wicker armrests let out a faint, intermittent CREAK with her gentle rocking, a sound that was remarkably clear amid the cavern’s echoes.

The bag of chips in her hand, specially made from the crisp-leaf roots of Lord World, was still giving off a faint golden steam. The edges of the thin, crispy slices shone with a glaze like amber-colored frost.

The pearl milk tea in the white porcelain cup beside her was even more remarkable. An amber halo rose from the dark brown tea, which was topped with milk foam. When her straw pierced the foam, the sweet scent of caramel splashed into the air, colliding with the sulfurous stench from the cavern’s depths. The two smells intertwined into an aroma that was both bizarre and yet strangely harmonious.

She swung her dangling, fair feet, her gaze drifting carelessly over the Void Gate.

Her Heavy Armor Guards were in formation, blocking the exit of the Void Gate. Sparks flew from their crimson Radiant Sun Plate Armor as the Void Creatures’ claws raked across them. With every swing of their heavy warhammers, they smashed an enemy’s tough armor and body into a meaty pulp.

The Void Creatures that surged from the portal roared and charged, yet they could never break through the steel defensive line. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Su Mumu took a light bite of her chip, watching her Heavy Armor Guards easily hunt the Void Creatures as if she were watching a pack of fierce, oversized cats preying on a group of small mice.

Just then, a ripple seemed to pass through the sulfurous air.

A translucent figure slowly solidified before her, still wreathed in the lingering whispers of spatial energy. It was MC, back from the Lost Secret Realm.

"Cousin?"

"You’re back already?"

At that moment, MC was still in his Divine Being state. He didn’t respond to Su Mumu, but instead mumbled continuously:

"Why..."

"My luck is so terrible..."

"Damn you, African Ancestors! Take back your Divine Powers!"

Hearing this, Su Mumu paused with a chip halfway to her lips. The corner of her mouth twitched, and she silently swallowed the retort she was about to make.

’Is this...?’

’He got demoralized by Tingfeng’s Reversed Celestial Fortune again?’

’Sigh.’

’That’s to be expected, I suppose.’

’My Divine Chosen Army has been blocking this Void Gate for two full days.’

’If the bodies of the Void Creatures didn’t instantly evaporate upon death, they’d be piled up like a small mountain in this cavern by now.’

’And yet, despite all that fighting, my daily battle points are still getting beaten by Tingfeng. I’m stuck in second place on the daily rankings.’

’So you can just imagine how heaven-defying Tingfeng’s situation must be.’

’First of all...’

’His Divine Chosen Army must move as fast as lightning.’

’Only an army with that kind of speed could navigate the Death Zone nimbly enough to hunt down the Void Creatures that randomly spawn all over.’

’Second...’

’His army’s encampment must be located in the very center of the Death Zone.’

’Because the spawn rate for Void Creatures is highest only when you’re positioned in the very center of the Death Zone.’

’Furthermore, the Void Creatures there have a higher base combat power than those in the outer regions, meaning you get more event battle points for killing them.’

’And finally...’

’...that guy must also have absurdly, terrifyingly good luck.’

’He probably runs for a bit and immediately stumbles upon a huge pack of Void Creatures, or he perfectly lands on a random spawn point on the world map and just power-farms the endless stream of monsters that pop out.’

’Because of all that, even if I camp the Void Gate directly—guarding this fixed spawn point where a wave of Void Creatures only appears every few hours—my kill efficiency is nothing compared to his.’

’It’s a shame.’

’I didn’t go the Cavalry route.’

’If I had a pure lineup of Zero-star (Gold) Heavy Cavalry, paired with my ’King of Territory’ Talent, I might have been able to surpass his daily ranking in the Day of Battle event.’

’I’m really curious.’

’Besides that Evil Aura Talent with its continuous Healing...’

’...I wonder what other heaven-defying, Divine-level Talents he’s awakened, and just how many extra Talents the King of War has granted him.’

’My guess?’

’He must have at least four extra War King Talents, right?’
