Capítulo 1156: Chapter 105: You Can’t Make Me Commit Suicide

At the initial stage of this cycle, Richard Parker seemed to lose his mind and flipped to the last page.

In that blank space, in erratic handwriting, he wrote down an intense question: “FXXX… FXXX… What the hell are you?”

“Tell me, what the hell are you, what do you want to do? Do you want me dead? Want me to collapse? To surrender to you, kneel before you and beg for forgiveness?”

“Speak up, come on, say it.”

Richard’s frenzied questioning received no answer. He jerked his head around and saw through the Escape Pod’s transparent door and window, a multitude of heads crowding there, with fierce smiles that chilled him to the bone.

“Ha ha ha… ha ha ha…”

“Open the door, Captain, open it now.”

Outside, all of Richard’s subordinate partners gathered, their faces pressed against the glass, their bulging eyes fixated on Richard Parker.

They continuously banged against the door, trying to force their way in.

Having endured numerous cycles of torment, Richard Parker suddenly made a new decision, and time continued to accelerate.

“Richard Parker altered the device, detonating the Silence, killing all astronauts. He was propelled towards Lomanu Star by the force of the explosion in the Escape Pod.”

“The Escape Pod was damaged, the survival attempt failed, and Richard Parker died.”

“Game restart!”

Again, Tang Qi heard this voice.

And Richard Parker once more returned to the start that drove him insane, not attempting to stop the crew from witnessing the magnificent “Star Burst” again.

Throughout cycles he could no longer recall, he had attempted to stop it many times, but invariably failed.

With a blank expression, he rose and went to the all-too-familiar Escape Pod.

Once more, he took out that “diary,” flipping through it, each page triggering corresponding memories. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

In past cycles, Richard Parker had tried countless times, in countless ways.

“I cannot prevent the disaster from coming, whether it be some kind of radiation? Some cosmic monster? Or perhaps the Silence had long crashed? Is all this an illusion, my illusion, an illusion of us all?”

“I can’t awaken them from the madness, I can’t even prevent my occasional madness.”

“I once killed them all, one by one, and after all the food was gone, consumed their bodies.”

“I also imprisoned them, dissected them, trying to find a parasite? Or something else? But nothing, their flesh is real flesh, their faces are real faces, they are Matthew, they are Martha, they are Drake, they are Phoebe, they are Simon…”

“I’ve died countless times, bombed, killed, starved, frozen…”

“Swish”

Suddenly, Richard Parker stopped.

His previously blank expression changed, a mysterious light burst in his eyes, as if he understood something.

He had died countless times, in many ways, but never by suicide.

With trembling hands, Richard Parker held the pen and wrote down a series of questions in that blank space.

“Do you want me to commit suicide?”

“As long as I commit suicide, will all this end?”

“Could I be released, could everyone be released?”

As he wrote the third question, he felt he lost control of his hand.

But his hand continued to write with the pen.

Only now, the handwriting was no longer erratic, but became neat, cold, and unfamiliar.

The temperature inside the Escape Pod suddenly dropped below zero, and in Tang Qi’s transparent human eyes, Richard Parker’s body underwent a terrifying transformation.

The space turned incredibly dark, only the outline of his body became snow-white, with many “black lines” flickering and dancing inside his body.

His face twisted grimly, eye sockets entirely black, with the corners of his fiercely smiling mouth splitting to his ears, blood-red flesh embedded with sharp teeth, emitting a strange fierce smile.

He held the pen, directly starting to draw over those three questions.

The black lines kept drawing circles, connecting, entwining, chasing each other… a twisted starry sky was born, the large and small “stars” seemed to be sketched by a madman, resembling crouched figures clutching their heads, screaming, with fierce smiles.

“Boom”

The answer appeared in Richard Parker’s eyes without warning, suddenly enlightening him that the magnificent Star Burst outside the Silence wasn’t real.

This bizarre scene was the real one.

His soul seemed to explode, he suddenly began breathing rapidly, he woke up.

Richard Parker reopened his eyes, no longer in the Escape Pod, with no diary in sight.

He once again found himself in the Silence’s command area, seated at the head of an oval table engraved with silver-white etchings, the seat beneath him cold to the touch, his feet upon the floor feeling a viscous liquid.

Instinctively, he looked down, the crimson stimulating his eyes.

He looked up again, seeing figures leaning back, prostrate, decomposing.

Time seemed to slow down at this moment, as if in “stop-motion animation,” presenting subsequent events to Tang Qi, the transparent man.

“Richard Parker returned to the real world… He sat upright in his chair, looking at all his partners and subordinates.”

“They’re all dead, Matthew, Martha, Drake, Phoebe, Simon… all of them dead, including the monkey and the spotted dog. They’re still in the cage, but because of madness or struggle, they battered themselves to death by smashing their heads.”

“The remaining crew, they all committed suicide in different ways: some used firearms, some strangled themselves, others swallowed mechanical parts, or cut open their own hearts with knives.”

“No one knows how many times the crew has reincarnated, how many times the monkey and the spotted dog have reincarnated, what they encountered, is it the same experience as Richard Parker? Or even more insane?”

“But it doesn’t matter anymore; they have all made their choices.”

“Death, a choice that can bring total relief.”

“Richard Parker suddenly looked in front of him, as items floated by: a handgun with one bullet left, a blood-stained dagger, mechanical parts that floated out of Simon’s stomach, a bottle of pills containing lethal drugs… He had many choices, all leading down the same path, death.”

Tang Qi looked at Richard Parker at that moment, tortured to the brink of inhumanity through countless reincarnations.

Both his body and soul exhibited various degrees of distortion.

The other suicidal crew members and animals were the same.

Perhaps they were all strong, all held hope, even tried to survive using wisdom and courage.

But in the end, they all surrendered, all chose the same path.

Just as Tang Qi was curious about Richard Parker’s choice, he stood up.

He picked up the handgun, fondled it for a while, then held the dagger against his heart, wiped the fluid from the mechanical parts with his fingertips, poured out the Wade Folin from the pill bottle… He lingered in this area for a long time.

Half an hour later, he dragged his twisted body back to the chair.

Looking directly with eyes almost filled with scarlet at what lay in front of him.

The increasingly clear silver-white patterns, the material of the space oval table… and the inexplicably appearing diary and a pen.

“Heh”

Richard Parker let out a sound of inexplicable laughter, picking up the pen.

He began to flip through page by page, past the bloodstained pages, past the pages with bizarre starry skies.

The latest page, in the blank space.

Richard Parker picked up the pen, a smirk gradually forming at the corner of his mouth, his hand trembling, scribbling messily:

“FXXX… do you see? I, Richard Parker, FXXX… your mother, if you have a mother… FXXX your ugly body, if you have one… FXXX your rotten soul, if you have one…”

“Hahaha… hahaha”

He suddenly burst into maniacal laughter, his writing becoming more chaotic and wanton.

“I will not commit suicide, you can’t do anything to me, you rotten maggot from that dark corner, come, let me see how strong you are, can you make me commit suicide, hurry up.”

As Richard Parker wrote while roaring, the previously motionless Silence unexpectedly ignited.

Without any warning, and without anyone controlling it.

The Silence spaceship ignited and began to return.

Time once again accelerated before Tang Qi’s eyes, the animation flickered.

“The Silence returned and landed on Lomanu Star twelve hours later.”

“In the global live broadcast, staff at the Lomanu Federation Aerospace Bureau discovered that almost the entire ship was dead, the Only Survivor being Captain Richard Parker, they opened his spacesuit, thereby releasing a deadly bacterium that infected the Lomanu people within months, turning them into zombie-like biological entities, Richard Parker did not commit suicide.”

“Game restart!”

“The Silence ignited for the return, upon landing on Lomanu Star, the entire crew accused Richard Parker of being parasitized by an unknown ‘Alien Monster’ during a spacewalk mission, he was arrested, detained, and executed by the Federation with gas twenty-four hours later.”

“Game restart!”

“The Silence returned, Richard Parker being the Only Survivor of the incident, was allowed to return to his family, he went mad that night, killed his wife, two children, then went to his parents, killing his father, mother, and sister, before being shot dead by the arriving police.”

“Game restart!”

“The Silence did not return, sent out a distress signal, the Federation organized a rescue, during the live broadcast, Richard Parker tore open the rescuer’s spacesuit, devouring her under the watch of billions of peers.”

At the space oval table in the driving area of the Silence, Richard Parker no longer had the basic human form.

His limbs were twisted, his face hideous, exuding the stench of rot.

His surroundings were still his partner crew members, dead for who knows how long, some rotten, some perfectly intact, seeming to be on different timelines.

But all of this was very real, just like the pain he felt every time he was killed, with no reduction, so real that he would wail every time, like a lamb being slaughtered.

And at this moment, this lamb Richard Parker, was hanging his head low, holding the pen with his black and emaciated hand.

Word by word, on the blank pages of that diary, he continued to write provocative sentences, just like countless times in the past.

“FXXX your mother, if you have one?”

“You want me to commit suicide… why not come in person, completely parasitize me… make me completely despair, completely collapse… come on, you think you can still hide in the shadows for long, I’ve felt you many times… you know, apart from merging with me, you can never make me commit suicide.”

“Is it painful for you, not being able to do anything to a mere mortal, hahaha.”

“Again, FXXX your mother.”

ps: There will be two more updates.
