Lord Of Puppets-Chapter 169 – Cleaning up after the war.

[4 months after the empire formation.]

"Huh....This place... It really changed." – said the young man with blond hair as he and his group walked through the city that was

"Yea. Last time we came here, the elves completely burned down the whole place." – said the man resembling a young-looking man, but with even young appearance as well as shorter height.

"From what I also heard, they used apparently wild beasts to finish off the civilians."

"Really? Wasn’t that story-"

"Fake?" – asked the short man, interrupting a female human with a short green hair.

"Nah. It wasn’t.... Since we were here last time, exterminating these very same wild beasts."

"The elves destroyed their homes and everything, so they had to make this city into their new home."

"Oh... Wait, how come you never told us about this?" – asked the female human with short green hair.

"We did explained it to everybody, but you decided to get yourself dead drunk like always." – replied two man with similar looking appearance.

"...."

"So! How.... Did they repair this city so quickly in just matter of few months?" – asked the green haired girl.

"Well, it is only THOSE places, really." – said the male dog beast-human.

"So far? They can only focus on repairing main settlement of specific territory, before then moving on, trying to repair anything that was in that territory."

"Honestly speaking, a lot of places still look like shit and it will take a while for all of it to get properly repaired."

"Hell, it could take years for this whole empire to just properly build up!"

"..."

"That said.... They are.... Huh...."

"They are weirdly working extremely fast, if I say so myself."

"The other settlement we had went by were also being not only repaired, but I think they were also being improved?"

"How the hell did they got researches, money and people for all of that?"

"I guess it is thanks to those golems?"

"They are pretty much... Everywhere, in each of the major settlements we had visited."

"Yeah. Apparently in the war, they also played many major roles." – said the elder blond-haired man.

"Sieges and what not."

"Huh.... Weird." – said the beast-human.

"I was in the Gorijy kingdom before, and they pretty much never used golems before."

"I’ve heard about the Marok kingdom using one before they had fallen, but that is pretty much it."

"Was this some sort of secret ’project’ or some shit?"

"..."

"Maybe?" – said the younger blond-haired man as he then noticed a bunch of elves, chained up and forced to the physical work.

"Slaves." – spoke bear beastwoman.

"After the war, all of the elves were reduced to the slaves."

"Nobility, commoners or merchants."

"Be it even good or bad elves."

"All of them are now despised and looked down upon."

"Serves these fucking parasites right!"

"..."

(Make sense she is angry like that.... Since she was from Garmfon kingdom in the first place.) – though older blond-haired man.

"..."

"Hey. What is the job this time?" – asked the bear woman as the young blond-haired man took out a piece of paper from his bag.

"Pigmen have been both spotted in the area in great numbers. Apparently, there were already some casualties amongst the citizens." – said the young man.

"Elves pissed them off in order to have them attack Garmfon kingdom." – said the younger blond man as the beastwoman was in the middle of asking her question.

"Tch. Just how many monsters did they used?" – said pissed off bear woman.

"Too many.... Still, first goblins and now we are dealing with pigmen? What next ogres?" – said the short haired woman.

"Yes. There were reports about ogres." – said the younger man with blond hair.

"..."

"Wait, really? I was just fucking kidding!" – said surprised woman with green hair.

"Yeah. Apparently, they had already destroyed some villages and the empire itself posted a massive bounty on their asses." – said the younger man.

"According to the bounty, there was a total of 5 ogres spotted, but there is a good chance that there was even 7."

"7 ogres.... Just one is able to completely destroy a whole village." – said the worried older blond-haired man as he grabbed his head.

"Just what the hell these elven bastards did?"

"....Let’s go." - said the older blond-haired man.

"The sooner we are done with this job, the better."

Several months has went by after the establishment of the empire.

As of right now, they had completely taken control over the territories that once belong to the two fallen kingdoms.

The take over of the fallen territories was successful, but obviously because of the countless wars that took place on this lands in the short spawn of time, there was obviously a lot left over damage that the empire would need to deal with.

To make situation even worse, a massive monster infestation had spread throughout this new empire for two reasons.

-Nobody was dealing with the monsters.

-Elves destroyed monster homes and caused either wild animals or monsters to attack the Garmfon kingdom.

The empire in that state could be consider a ’broken’, in a way.

"Still, the fact that this situation is still somewhat under control and how they are preventing most of more danger incidents ... Surprising, to say the least, the empire is recovering at weirdly rapid rate." – said the older blond-haired man as he and his party of adventurers were now walking through the forest.

"Considering how many wars were happening left and right, as well as the fact how many monsters are on the lose as of right now.... There were talks about stampedes and what not at the guild, but nothing really big happened."

"There were some news about big monsters’ outbreaks here and there, but no stampedes." – said the young blond-haired.

"Huh.... Bullshit." – said the distrustful bear woman, now wearing a fully body armor and lifting up a tree trunk with her hands, opening the path for the party to cross through.

"Nope. I’ve thought the same thing, but by the looks of things, they are really dealing with monster problem very well on their own." – said the young man with blond hair.

"If anything, when they are lacking in people, they are just throwing bounties and quests left and right."

"....From what I know, the kingdom of Gorijy was already quiet rich in the first place AND these elves were pretty much cash bags. So, after they kingdom have fallen, they must had taken all of the treasures they were hoarding throughout the years."

"They are rich and now they will make us rich."

"..."

"!"

"Stop." – whispered beast-human, which instantly stopped the entire party of 5 people in tracks.

"...Blood." – whispered the bear woman as she could smell scent of blood coming from ahead.

"..."

The older blond man gave a hand gesture to the beast-human, who instantly ran ahead without making any sound.

The man quickly ran up to the cliff nearby and looked down from his spot.

As the man looked down, he saw several humanoid fat creatures standing on the two legs, with a head of a pig and limbs resembling both combination of a human and pigs, as its legs had hooves in form of humanlike feet, as well as hooves that covered the creature’s fingers surface. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

[A glutton’s monsters that are known for eating anything, be it vegetables, meat or even humans. They are known for eating anything, even members of their own species.]

[Pigmen do not posses females and so the only way they can reproduce is via kidnapping and raping any humanoid species they can get their hands on, even being demi-human monsters.]

[Pigmen are consider as somewhat intelligent species, that knows how to craft, forge equipped as well as understand value.]

[Single pigman isn’t consider as much of danger and they are often not very smart.]

[However, just like another demi-human monsters, goblins, the pigmen danger rank can drastically change on their numbers.]

[With the individual strength not only raising, but also their base intelligence.]

[And the worst-case scenarios are the emergence of a leader that can unite and lead the pigmen.]

(13....No. 17.) – thought the beast-human as from the shadows he was counting a number of the pigmen who scavenging through their loot, ranging from farming tools and weapons, to food like animal meat, vegetables.... And human corpse, which they were currently eating as the beast-human adventurer watched from the shadows with disgust in his look.

"..."

"How many?" – asked the older blond-haired man as the beast-human adventurer came back.

"17 in total. I didn’t seen any survivors. Only corpse. I guess they were starving." – replied beast-human.

"Any elites? Captains?" – asked the older blond-haired man.

"Non. They are also not very well equipped. Only farming tools and some swords, probably some farmers had them for the self-defense." – replied beast-human.

"Then I guess this won’t be difficult job." – said the bear beastwoman as she put on her helmet as well as massive claws shaped gauntlets while the rest of the party quickly also equipped their own weapons.

"Still, better not fuck around." – said the older man with blond hair as he took out a short staff from underneath his cloak and pointed at his party members.

"We are going full power from get go. Kill them all as quickly as possible and don’t give them even a chance to think about escaping."

"Don’t worry. Bunch of pigs like these won’t even serv as warm up!" – said the bear beastwoman as the blond-haired man finished applying his buffs to the group.

Right in the very next moment, the entire group of adventurers ran straight towards the cliff, with the bear beastwoman taking a charge as she then just jumped off the small hill, flying high into the air, which was noticed by several pigmen.

And right in the next moment, the fully armored bear smashed right on top of one of the pigmen, instantly smashing and splatting its body parts everywhere.

"!" – the creatures began grunting as all of them notice the beastwoman right in the middle of the group.

One of the pigmen tried attacking the woman with the pitchfork, but before it could even reach her, a massive crossbow bolt flew from above and completely destroyed the pig creature’s head, killing the creature.

Instantly, the pigmen realized that there was one more enemy, causing them to look up and spot 3 people, a beast-human with a massive crossbow, a woman in priest clothing and a man with blond hair, wielding a short staff.

"[Light Needles]!" – the woman fired off a small blades of light at the creatures, which flew and stabbed multiple monsters, stunning them in place, but not really killing them.

However, this gave the bear woman an opening, as despise her wearing a heavy armor, she was able to quickly close distance with one of the pigment, before then punching them with her massive claw gauntlet, ripping apart the creature and then sending it flying right onto the tree.

Few more pigment tried attacking the woman with stolen farming equipment or swords, but she just raised her hands and used her gauntest as shields, which could had been their second main use, and just blocked off all the attacks before then easily knocking and sending all the monsters flying.

"!?" – upon witnessing the scene, one of the pigmen was instantly terrified and tried running away... But as it did, its head was suddenly sent flying.

"God dammit. I guess they are cowards?" – said the young man with blond hair as he appeared out of forest’s shadows, wielding a two short swords.

"Ah, so they are running away already?" – asked the bear woman as she then punched one of the pigmen right through their stomachs, straight up piercing it and then leaving behind a massive hole as she removed her weapon from their bodies.

"Don’t worry about this." – said the older man with blond hair.

"The preparations are over."

"They won’t be escaping."

"You can go as wild as you want now."

"Heh..."

"NOW WE ARE TALKING!" – shouted excited bear woman as the slaughter of the pigmen began.
