Ayra stood there frozen, feeling like a hypnotized person under his dark eyes. Hayden’s touch was so careful as if he would break her into pieces through his touches. Ayra on the other hand was completely in shock and puzzlement. On one hand, she was eager to find out whether they really shared a lifetime bond or not. On the other hand, she was debating whether it was right to let another man, touching her!
Hayden’s smirk grew bigger when he saw through her obedient gesture. She stood there, holding her breath to wait to make his claim. Her lips parted slowly as a signal to welcome his kiss. Hayden brushed past off her bottom lips, secretly licking his own lips to hold back his thirst for blood. Just when he bent his head down to take a taste, something flew over on him and kicked him hard until he was hitting the ground.
Ayra also gasped in surprise, stumbling back and snapping back to reality. Her eyes widened in surprise to see Cedric, standing a few feet away from her. His expression seemed turbulent as if he was here to commit a murder crime.
Cedric spat, his jaw clenching hard,
" I warned you..."
He paused then kicked on his stomach so that he was rolling on his stomach. He added again after squeezing his collar and bringing him closer to his face,
" Not her...She is my wife.."
Hayden growled in pain when he felt Cedric kicking with his feet again. It was natural between demons to get pained through this hand fight. Cedric didn’t give him a single second. Thinking about the moment when he was going to claim Ayra, his thoughts ran wild. All he could think about was killing his own brother.
Cedric streched out his arms, immediately flame started taking from his palms, burning Hayden’s skin. Hayden’s eyes were shot open wide in disbelief. Even as a dynasty of true demon, he couldn’t control fire on his own. It had only one meaning that Cedric had developed his powers during this time.
Ayra watched two brothers fighting like death end. Judging from Cedric’s expression, it was evident that they knew each others. It had only one possibility that they were brothers according to her own thoughts. Suddenly, Ayra started panicking. Cedric had already been known for killing countless people. Was he going to kill him for the sake of her safety too?
She didn’t want it at all. Even if people blamed Cedric, she saw the guilt in his eyes. Ayra shouted, going forward slightly,
" Cedric... don’t... please.."
Cedric casted her a death glare, wondering what changed her mind suddenly. Definitely, Hayden was going to claim her soul if he was several minutes away from reaching here. All thanks to Debisa’s devolved powers, he managed to send Cedric a signal that could lead him here.
Hayden’s lips stretched into a big smile, grinning wickedly at Cedric who was staring back at Ayra,
" See... that’s how mate bond works..she cares"
Ayra opened her mouth to say something but Cedric was strangling him harder than before, almost making him roasted with his flame. Ayra’s expression turned horrified when she noticed Cedric’s mouth, opening slowly to reveal his all rows of cannies. It was the sight that she never faced in her life, so devilish that it made her blood turning froze for a while.
Ayra shouted once again to stop Cedric whose expression had now darkened more after Hayden’s taunting comment,
" Cedric...stop..I said to stop..."
A roar from the background snapped their attention. Ayra looked behind to see Debisa, running on his feet on their way. His steps staggered all the while after being abused for a long time. Debisa looked determined to save Cedric from Hayden. So, he approached with his leftover strength, and somehow managed to get rid of those chains during their time of fighting.
Ayra’s eyes welled up in tears of happiness. Once a master was always master it was indeed truth. Cedric had yet to notice Debisa’s approach but Hayden saw him, coming first. He let out a curse, pushed Cedric’s arms away to grab the axe from the ground. Before Debisa could dash forward, Hayden aimed the axe into his body and succeeded once he let out a painful roar. Hayden was too good at aiming from his earlier days. At times, he even failed all the demons in their relam. But Lord Ralph had never been proud of his action. He knew very well that Hayden’s merit meant more destruction only unlike Cedric who had both humanity and demon power inside.
Ayra cried out in realization, putting her palms on her ears. Tears slipped from her eyes when she saw how Debisa was killed by Hayden. She rushed forward to Debisa who was groaning and falling on the ground. She kept chanting, tears pouring from her eyes,
" I am sorry...I am sorry.. Debisa..."
As if it wasn’t enough, Hayden gritted his teeth hatefully. Picking up another iron rod from the ground, he flew it on the way where Ayra was standing before Cedric grabbed him again. Cedric growled, cursing at him as his one hand flew to smash the skin in Hayden’s throat. Hayden let out a howl of cry but it wasn’t the only cry that was heard in the air. Debisa roared in his back which sounded like a pathetic cry or shock something.
Jerking off in shock and surprise, Cedric whipped his head back to see the scene. Ayra blocked the next attempt at killing Debisa. It was too fast move from Hayden that she couldn’t block it with her powers instead she used herself as a shield, standing in front of Debisa.
The rod pierced through her body, still hanging stuck against her skin. Her eyes widened slightly when her breathing started to catch in her lungs. Even Cedric shuddered at the sight of her blood. Because they all knew that using iron on a fairy had one meaning ’death.’
