Chapter 560: A Visit To Roxanne’s House

Long away from Basarisk, Hayden was running into the hut with a scary expression. Each movements from the forest terrified him. He knew very well that Cedric was going to kill him sooner or later. Even if he managed to save Ayra’s life, there was no way that Debisa made it possible to survive. Healing from a true demon’s attack wasn’t easy.

Oscar had also been put in that hut. Hayden replied nothing to him. All he could was wait for his arrival. After Hayden stormed inside the dark hut to get his staff to shift far away from this land, Oscar chased after him. Oscar kept complaining with a rigid expression,

" Why did you let her go? Jasmine can’t be brought back without her. Hayden! I have been helping you in this hope that I will get back, Jasmine."

Oscar kept nagging with his questions as Hayden kept scattering into his staffs. As his patience went out of control, Hayden whipped around to shove a hand into Oscar’s stomach. With a scratch, all of his veins were tangled. Oscar’s eyes froze widening then fell on the ground. In a moment, his body became a dead corpse.

Hayden snickered at his dead face, lying on the ground,

" I told you not to irritate me too much. You are nothing but a burden to me now. Jasmine will never come back! No spell can return a death person. MORON!"

Finally getting rid of Oscar, Hayden left the hut in search of a proper place to hide himself. But having second thoughts, Hayden changed his direction midway, starting his journey to the mansion where Roxanna used to live once.

Light drizzling started to pour down over the Shacklow village, a remote area of Basarisk. Memories hit him hard when he stood in front of the mansion. As the village belonged to the creatures, the village was active even at night. The shops were all in lights, very few customers arrived to buy things.

He stood ahead of the mansion, drizzling dropping over his head to slide through his raincoat. He blinked those water drops away from his eyes, trying to flutter open widely. He remembered those days when Roxanne told him how she wanted to live in Shacklow village since it was far more peaceful than other lands. He didn’t pay attention to her needs until Cedric offered her this mansion as a gift for her birthday.

Pushing the thoughts aside, Hayden was transported through the big walls of the mansion. Lucky for him that Cedric didn’t put any spells to block this place. It was a big mansion with multiple chambers, carrying the symbol of 17s architecture. If anyone didn’t know the structure from the beginning, he would have gotten lost in the rows of rooms.

Standing on the long corridor, Hayden noticed that all the belongings used by Roxanne were long gone. He came at this hope that he would find something beneficial to intrigue Ayra against Cedric. Since he had hurt her terribly, there was no way that Ayra was going to trust him again. His own plan backfired and Roxanne was the only key to separate Ayra from Cedric. Maybe he could search deeper, he will find something.

With this intention, Hayden started walking into the empty corridor, stopping by the Piano room which was her favorite. His eyes lit up in hope when he saw that her piano was still there. Hayden entered quickly, walking around the room cluelessly. When he found nothing, he cursed under his breath.

Dragging his feet frustratingly over the stool, he plopped down in front of the Piano. Subconsciously, his fingers tapped on the buttons. In a moment, an unpleasant rhythm began to echo around the room. He continued tapping frustratingly, angered by Cedric’s smart move. He always hated the fact that Cedric was better than him. Although he was born first, he had a feeling that Cedric got all the fortunes. It was a miracle that they both shared the same face. But his father stated that it happened because his mother was pregnant with him when Ralph was in his true demon form which gave him the privilege to be born as a true demon. The truth was that Cedric had more powers than him. While he spent his days enjoying the lavishing lifestyle of a demon prince, Cedric worked hard on himself. He cultivated more powers, discovered his hidden powers and nurtured them.

In his spite of anger, Hayden continued tapping on the piano buttons ferociously until it was nearly cracked, forgetting about his surrounding momentarily.

" Hayden...." came an unexpected voice that grew goosebumps on his skin. His rythem abruptly ended, forcing his head back to whip at the way. Just as he looked at the corridor, a female figure disappeared quickly.

Shock appeared on his expression. The voice was very similar like Roxanne but there was no way that she was here. Thinking that someone was pranking him, Hayden stood up from the stool to walk aggressively for the corridor. Pushing the curtains away, he saw no one except the passerbyers on the road downstate.

He gritted his words out,

" Who is it? Come out! Show yourself! WHO!!"

His words caught stuck in his throat when her beautiful laughter echoed in the room. Hayden once again turned to search for her but he only saw a glimpse of her, vanishing in the air. His forehead began to gather sweat slowly. Pursuing his lips together trembling, he called stuttering,

" Ro.. Roxanne..Is that..you.."

His legs got banged against the chair after another laughter came as her response. He fell on the floor in fear and anxiety. His eyes looked everywhere for her but there was nothing in the room. Just when he considered it as his illusion, he felt a presence behind him. Her words came out slowly,

" Why did you kill my child? Why did you kill me?"

Hayden snapped his head back in horror. His eyes widened in disbelief when he saw a woman standing in white gown, blood coming out from her stomach like he stabbed her that night.
