Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 561: An Heir
The world seemed to stop for Hayden. She was still looking at him like the same day when he went around to kill her. His eyes had so much fear that he could barely blink. After a long silence, he saw her still there.
" G..ghost...", he stammered, backing away slightly which didn’t affect her at all. Still keeping his eyes open wide, Hayden kept muttering in a voice of disbelief,
" Ghost...you aren’t real..you...you aren’t..."
Roxanne didn’t stop at his words. She gracefully took one step forward again and blurted those words that kept arising goosebumps on Hayden’s body,
" You killed me..."
In a moment, Hayden lost his temper. He sucked a long breath and yelled back after putting his hands over his ears, blocking all those words coming from her mouth,
" STOP...STOP...I didn’t...I didn’t kill you..I.."
Eyes tearing in fear, Hayden rose his head again to stare at her again but this time, the ghost of Roxanna like he claimed was gone. His eyes flashed in disbelief once he found the place empty. Tilting his head back and forth, he saw nothing. But his fear didn’t leave his head. Hayden clutched his own head in frustration and kept muttering like a madman,
" It’s not..real..she can’t be..real..No..she can’t.."
No one knew exactly what he saw but that night, Hayden felt guilty and terrified at the same time. Was Roxanne’s soul following him for revenge?
Coming back to the castle of the Basarisk, Ayra’s ears buzzed after his sudden words. It took a few minutes for her to reply like a whisper finally,
" What.. what did you say?"
Her reaction was obvious. Her gaze appeared so vulnerable that it cut deep through Cedric’s heart. It was surprising to him that his decision was going to affect her so much. Cedric continued, his hands clenched on both sides secretly,
" You don’t trust me..you don’t love me..I forced you on this marriage..You don’t trust me and went to that man because you believed his words more than me, didn’t you?"
Ayra swallowed thickly and looked down in guilt. She knew what she had done. If it wasn’t for Cedric, she would have been tricked by Hayden already. Cedric was more frustrated and angered over her when he heard nothing but silence from her. He stretched one of his hands to grab her chin fiercely, pushing it up to force her to look into his eyes. Once they locked their eyes, he shouted asking for his answer,
" ANSWER ME!"
Her pale lips trembled together since she had nothing to respond. He was telling the truth but that didn’t mean that she didn’t trust him or love him. She loved him enough to let him go for his own good. When he heard nothing but silence from her, Cedric released her chin with a long sigh. The scene where they were trying to be intimate drove him crazy. He never knew that love could make him this wild.
Now he looked back at everything, he found no reason to continue this marriage. Perhaps, he would have tried harder if she was willing. Cedric looked away from her blankly. Keeping his eyes away in distance, he uttered his words slowly,
" Your dowry will be sent to Dalastia soon. You are free from this marriage, Princess!"
Then Cedric turned around to head for the door, dragging his feet away heavily as if they didn’t have any strength left behind. Only that time, Ayra panicked immensely. She continued staring at his retreat back. All she knew was that she couldn’t let go of him at this moment. At the same time, she didn’t want any harm to fall on him because of her.
Ayra rushed straight for him, held him back to stop him from going. She hugged him immediately to blurt her words through her cracking voice,
" I..I am sorry..I..I don’t want to be free from you..I was just confused, Cedric..Trust me, we did nothing...I was confused between you..and him.."
Cedric tried hard not to react to anything. For the first time, she was hugging him willingly. Her warm body held him so close that he could hear her heart beating fiercely.
Was she this scared to leave him?
He thought about it momentarily and didn’t believe in himself once again. Forcing himself to distract once again, he blurted sounding broken,
" Let me go Princess..."
" No, No.. I can’t..", Ayra denied, held him tighter than before. Tears kept rolling down from her eyes, soaked the back of his coat until he felt the wetness against his skin. He couldn’t take it anymore. Turning around vigorously, he claimed her lips into a passionate kiss to murmur at her face,
" Tell me, you won’t leave me because of his words?"
" I..I won’t..", she managed to blurt between his fiery kiss. His lips tasted her violently, forcing her to walk back to the bed. Their bodies kept staggering backwards without breaking the fiery kiss.
Her response awakened more passion inside him. He kissed her harder and asked again after pressing her down on the bed,
" Tell me..you trust me more than him..?"
His voice came out sharp this time. Ayra felt a little confused about his action since he sounded mad and terrific at the same time. She replied through her ragged breathing, breaking their kiss for a while,
" I..I do trust you..more.."
Cedric’s rage sobered a little. Taking her palms into his own hands, he whispered his words out, staring down at her swollen lips,
" What do you want from me, Princess.. I want to let go of us but you don’t want to.. what do you want from me.."
" A lot..",she whispered back, tears once again dripping from her eyes. She felt him stiff over her body. After a while, she added again, taking one of his hands to place on her stomach,
" But for now..All I want to give you..an heir..king Cedric.."
