Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 602: Reading The Journal Part One
Cedric had left early in the morning for the state affairs again. The time that he spent in the castle was getting minimum day by day. When Ayra woke up, she discovered herself in an empty bedroom. However she smiled, remembering the passionate night that they had. But her face changed into a darker shade when she remembered the journal which was still unread.
After refreshing herself, she opened the door to ask one of the passing maids who were serving tea to everyone,
" Is your Lord gone?"
The maid paused, hearing the queen’s voice. She bowed at her carefully before saying,
" Yes, My Lady!! He left in the early morning. Do you need anything??"
Ayra shook her head with a smile and dismissed the maid before closing the door again. She took a deep breath to control her nervousness. Her steps went back to the place where she hid the journal. As soon as she picked it out, a relieved sigh escaped her lips. She was still worried that Cedric would find the missing journal. But thanks to their passionate night, he forgot everything else and devoured her until they both were satisfied.
Ayra came back on the bed, opening the first page to read it. She was honestly mesmerized by the handwriting. In fact, she could bet that she had never seen such beautiful handwriting before this. Jasmine was indeed a talented woman with poor luck.
Ayra read the first page attentively. When she started reading, a smile appeared on her lips subconsciously. She could literally feel the happiness of Jasmine through her writing. On the first page, she wrote about how Oscar doted on her and how deeply they were in love, nothing about meeting the demons. She didn’t give those pages willingly. It felt good to read someone’s love story. Probably, she would see a different type of Cedric’s mother.
Turning the pages, Ayra came across a page where she wrote about the birth of her two daughters, Isabella and Jessie. Both Jasmine and Oscar sounded contended with their two beautiful daughters even sharing the small details about their birthday celebration. A frown appeared between her temples to think about those moments. If both Oscar and Jasmine were so happy with daughters, why did Jasmine become so desperate to have a son??
To know the reason, Ayra had to skip the pages by giving them a short read. The first fifteen Chapters of the journal only contained about their happy days with their daughters. If any outsider reads it, they would have thought that they were the best family in the world. But Ayra knew the outcome. So, she was really eager to know what caused the destruction of this beautiful family.
After going through the pages, she finally found a page in which Jasmine wrote about family banquets years afterwards. As Oscar married her against the wishes of his family, Jasmine was never accepted or invited on any family occasions. The banquet was her first time, meeting Oscar’s Royal family. Naturally, she was excited but all Ayra could read was Jasmine’s disappointment over the pages.
Oscar’s family humiliated her in each way possible. They called her ’ ugly’, ’uncultured ’ and so on. Some even suggested adopting her daughters since they believed that Jasmine wouldn’t be able to teach them proper values of a Royal Family. Oscar told her to not pay attention to those words but she was breaking internally. She broke the most when she heard Oscar’s father, giving advice to his son to get married again.
That night, Jasmine cried her heart out and prayed to give birth to a son. Oscar’s father was mostly concerned about Oscar for not having an heir. As for Oscar’s brothers, they were recently married and would be having babies anytime soon. If they had sons before Oscar, the possibility of getting the throne was zero. Oscar had an argument with his father that night.
Accidentally, Jasmine heard them all and blamed herself for everything. She prayed every single day for a boy who could give his father a better position in the future. When Ayra headed for the second page, she was shocked to read that Jasmine was actually pregnant. Even she believed that God had answered her prayer and she was pregnant with a baby boy.
On that page, Ayra stopped to think deeply. If Jasmine was already pregnant, why did she seek help from the demon?
Mysteries continued to swim in her head. She couldn’t stop her reading. With another turn on the page, she gasped hard to read the content.

Not to mention, she blamed a new maid in the castle who was sent by Oscar’s family. She believed that Oscar’s family was behind the plan of her miscarriage. The miscarriage was so severe that the healer told her the less possiblity of getting pregnant again. When Jasmine shared her doubts about the maid to Oscar, he didn’t believe her. The couple had their first fight and Oscar chose to believe his family over her. But she did hide the news that she couldn’t fall pregnant anymore.
From that incident, Jasmine acted more and more desperate to have an heir especially when Oscar was getting closer to his family possibly for the throne. He didn’t give her attention same like before. Then on a regular fight, Oscar blamed her not being able to give birth to a boy for him.
Those words from Oscar were Jasmine limits. After that, she tried everything starting from witchcraft but nothing could give her a boy that she wished. After so many attempts and failures, someone from her distant relatives told her about the myth of demons who could fulfill anyone’s wish...
