Jasmine had a feeling of thunderbolt, crashing over her head. She stared at his back in shock, watched him leaving until reality knocked her brain hard. Lifting herself up, she rushed forward to block Oscar from going outside, her arms stretching to stop the man.
She said with a ridiculous, self-mocked smile,
" You..you must be joking, Oscar? Are you trying to make me jealous, right?"
Jasmine still didn’t believe in his words. They were so deep in love and it was highly possible that he was saying those words to make her jealous. Oscar let out a sigh and remembered the conversation with his father. He made a deal with his father about the marriage. It would be about his heir only but Jasmine would always be his queen. However, it didn’t change the fact that he was going to marry another woman.
Oscar replied on her face, narrowing his eyes,
" I don’t joke! You know that, Jasmine. It’s time that I make decisions for my kingdom, my right. I did choose you but what did you do to me? You actually went behind my back to bring some cursed child in this world? What made you think that I will accept your cursed child?"
His tone made it firm that he was indeed going to get married tonight. Suddenly, Jasmine let out a laugh, a laugh of pain and mockery. At that point, her heart accepted the truth that no matter what she did, Oscar was never going to be her again. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Jasmine stepped forward to face him suddenly, her eyes were burning in rage and pain. She started speaking out loud,
" You want to know why I brought this child into this world? It’s all because of you, your dream, your future, your family. Do you think that it was me who was dying to have a son? I was already content with my two daughters. It was you who put this in my head that you needed a son..A FUCKING HEIR!!"
She took a pause, then pointed at her womb before continuing,
" So I did this to myself! I brought down the hell just for your love. And now, you are going to step on my heart and be together with another woman?? You may go, Oscar but.."
She paused again, brought her face closer to Oscar’s face before whispering her words out one by one,
" If I burn in hell for you, you will be into this too."
At that moment, Oscar didn’t understand what Jasmine meant by her words. He became more furious as he thought that Jasmine was claiming herself innocent even after being a sinner. Oscar blurted back with anger, pushing her away,
" Your empty words mean nothing to me."
Taking big strides, Oscar was gone from the chamber, leaving her all alone again. As soon as he went outside, Jasmine fell on her knees and started weeping bitterly. Suddenly, everything became meaningless to her.
What would she do with this child, this family if Oscar married another woman? What would be the future of the baby in her womb? Who will help her in this situation?
An hour passed since Oscar left her after telling about his intention. Apart from Jasmine, the other staff from the castle were happy to hear the news. As expected, when someone was in her bad state, everyone would try to pull her down eventually. They didn’t care about Jasmine and were eager to welcome the new wife. Even a few bunch of maids started taking preparations secretly.
Meanwhile in the demon realm, Ralph was plotting something on his papers next to the fireplace and was surprised to hear the portal of his realm opening. To make the going easier, he built a portal between his room and Jasmine’s room in her castle. When he told her that, the woman stubbornly said that she would never need to use it to come to him.
His gaze kept staring at the silver door, behind his closet and finally her pale silhouette appeared in the room. But he noticed the difference in her features. Instead of her calm eyes and serene expression, he saw the wild fire on her face today. Her jaw was clenched hard and he could hear her anxious breathing. She seemed worried about something or someone, her eyes looked swollen from crying for hours.
" Ralph!"
Jasmine called him by his name and he swore that his cold heart had stopped beating for a second. Among all the miracles of his life, it was one of them that Jasmine had called him by his name. Ralph replied with a smile, not leaving the chair,
" I thought, you won’t ever need me. What brought you here, Queen Jasmine?"
Jasmine swallowed hard, those heartbreaking feelings returning. She couldn’t even imagine the marriage of Oscar with another woman. Her lips parted to blurt firmly,
" I need your help! Oscar...he is marrying someone else..I need you to stop this marriage..at any cost..I am ready to pay anything.. anything.. that you want..my blood..my soul.. whatever it takes but my children’s future are at stake. Please help me one more time."
Ralph felt though someone had squeezed his heart tightly. His smile vanished immediately. So..she was here again for her husband, not for him?
For a few seconds, Ralph didn’t say anything which made Jasmine impatient. She kept bragging about her words consistently,
" Ralph! Please.. make it fast..I promise that I will do anything.. give you anything..I know that demons don’t do anything without repayment..I will give you whatever you want.."
This time, Ralph lifted himself up from the chair, walking over to her slowly until they were only a few inches apart. He repeated her words, his face hardening in anger and pain,
" Anything?"
Jasmine nodded her head without a second thought. Bringing his face closer to her anxious face, he asked for his repayment in a serious voice,
" Kiss me, Jasmine!"
