" You are joking!"

Jasmine replied grimacing her face. Ralph had already leaned onto her face already, ready to take his share. His patience was long gone. The more he waited, the more he became desperate. Jasmine took a step backwards, the affection in his eyes didn’t miss her attention.

She replied, pressing her lips together,

" Give me a reason to kiss you!"

She made it clear to him that her heart didn’t ache for him. It was always Oscar who owned her heart and soul. Jasmine couldn’t understand why he kept insisting on carrying this feelings. Ralph’s face became sullen after she backed away.

Clenching his fists together, he shifted his eyes to fall on her stomach, his words coming out cold,

" Isn’t it enough reason? Tell me, why should I protect your son?"

Jasmine was lost in words. Indeed, he saved her many times without even asking. In fact, she could have died earlier if Ralph didn’t go there on time. After hesitating for a while, Jasmine blurted, her cheeks burning in shame,

" Just one kiss!"

Ralph’s lips stretched into a soft smile. Maybe his way was too devilish but at least, she was willing to come to him. Standing on his spot, he waited for her to come. Jasmine dragged her feet towards him, letting all her thoughts go. She had to stop the marriage and Ralph was the only way.

Coming closer, she raised her feet to match his height and planted a gentle peck on his cold lips. She thought it to be okay but Ralph had no intention like that. He captured her lips in a quick move, letting his tongue go deeper into her mouth and giving her a real kiss.

Jasmine froze by his behavior but the fluttering in her heart didn’t stop. It was like the feeling of her first kiss. Although it was gentle, Ralph was a dominant kisser. He kissed her until she was panting, her cheeks turning hot. More than a minute passed after he let go of her lips, not before lingering his tongue on them for a little. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Jasmine stared at his face blankly to hear him muttering,

" You should know how to kiss a man well if you want to please me."

Jasmine didn’t say anything, only kept her head down in embarrassment. She didn’t know why her heart was beating wild. Did she like this demon king?

Meanwhile, Ralph kept his promise as he went to stop the wedding. Although he wanted to do it alone, Jasmine insisted on going with him. In the Basarisk Kingdom, it was full of colorful lanterns today. Everything seemed festive and there was no doubt that everyone was here to celebrate Oscar’s marriage.

Far from the castle, two silhouette stood next to each other, one of them was smoking quietly. Looking at the colorful castle, Jasmine’s eyes teared up in pain. This family never accepted her. Even though she had no idea what it looked like inside. Once, Oscar tried to enter with her in this castle by force but Oscar’s father was furious and cast spells on her so that she couldn’t enter there anymore. Now today, they were celebrating his second marriage wholeheartedly. They didn’t even think about the two daughters that were leaving far away from the family.

When Jasmine was all in her thoughts, a handkerchief was offered to her. Ralph said with a scoff,

" Here!! Wipe your tears if you want me to help you. I am here to see them crying,not yours."

Jasmine couldn’t help but glaring at the demon. Seriously.. why was he so bad at comforting a woman? But nevertheless, she accepted it and wiped her tears to ask in a serious voice,

" Now what? I can’t go inside because of the spell. How will you stop this marriage? You can’t enter and shout at everyone to stop this marriage, can you?"

Ralph took a long puff from his cigarette before replying with a chuckle,

" Why should I go?? I am not that weak."

Jasmine couldn’t understand the meaning of his words. She kept staring at his face questioning. Under her watchful eyes, Ralph only pulled his lips into a smirk, his cigarette dropped on the ground slowly. As soon as the fire touched the ground, something blasted inside the castle and the rooftop was suddenly full of fire.

Jasmine gasped hard, snapping her eyes back to the castle. The colorful lanterns were full of fire all of sudden, screaming from the guests were echoing in the air. She was too flabbergasted to say anything, only stared hard at the castle which had fire now.

Jasmine stuttered, turning her eyes at Ralph,

" How...how did you do that?"

Ralph didn’t say anything, only smirked before telling me,

" Basarisk doesn’t need any castle which can’t let you in."

Jasmine swallowed his words. It would be a lie if she didn’t say that she was moved by his words. Having second realization, her eyes widened in concern. She started shouting crazily at Ralph,

" Wolves! They have little wolves there! O my god! They would be killed. Demon King! Stop the fire..Stop it...Or Save them...Do something please.."

Jasmine heard from Oscar that his father used to adopt a lot of little wolves as their pet. If the castle was full of fire, everyone would think of their own lives instead of wolves. If those innocent animals died because of her revenge game, she wouldn’t be able to forgive herself ever for those innocent lives.

Ralph let out a helpless sigh. This woman cared for anything or anyone except him possibly. He started saying in a demanding voice,

" I can save them.. only if you ki..."

She didn’t let him finish his condition. She jumped onto him to kiss him on the lips again. Ralph was surprised as well but soon opened his mouth to let her kiss him. However, Jasmine didn’t see the wicked smile that he gave between their kisses..
