Jasmine tried to smile at his response but it always failed. She fought hard to ignore the excited look in his eyes, not to mention the way he dropped his liquor just to give her full attention. Jasmine said nothing which made his heart turn blank all of sudden.

Instead of bringing their topic, Jasmine moved at a corner and asked in a hesitant voice,

" Demon King! I have a request!"

Ralph swallowed the uneasy lump in his throat. He tried hard to ignore her hesitant face and conflicted smile. He still replied passionately, his eyes taking note of her colorful outfit,

" Anything for you!"

Before today, he noticed that Jasmine never showed any interest in dressing up properly. She was so engrossed in her son that she barely paid attention to herself. But today, she had worn her best clothes, a royal one.

Could it be possible that they had rekindled their relationship like before?

Even the thought turned Ralph’s blood cold. He felt the sudden emptiness in his heart and the fear of losing her. Still he consoled himself with fake words and waited for her request to speak up.

Jasmine swallowed hard again, a friction of emotions flickering in her eyes as she said to him in a soft voice,

" Can....I meet your other son.... the one inside the artificial womb?"

Jasmine’s request made him stunned for a few seconds. He never thought that she would show care for his other son in the demonic womb. But he was more than happy to show her because Ralph had always wanted her to be a part of his son’s life. Although it wasn’t possible, at least he will feel her presence.

Ralph nodded his head with a smile, coming forward to show her the way,

" Of course! I mean..yes...I am glad that you still remembered him as your other son."

Jasmine only bit her tongue without saying anything. She tried not to feel guilty for the other baby as technically she was his mother as well.

After a while, Ralph brought her to the same place that she had visited once. The surroundings were full of dark aura and more like a bird’s nest was hanging from a big tree. Ralph guided her the way,his face full of smiles as he proceeded to the hanging bowl,

" There he is! My little one! Would you like to feel him, Jasmine?"

Jasmine watched his happy smile and dragged her feet hesitantly towards the hanging bowl. Her eyes melted in affection as soon as she came nearer. The artificial womb was big exactly like her own womb. As both of them entered the cycle of growing at the same time, their growth was almost the same.

Jasmine lifted her shaky hands to put on the womb finally. As soon as she felt something moving inside, her eyes teared up emotionally. At that point, she really felt that she was doing injustice to this little one. Maybe she could have taken this one inside her womb as well.

Will he hate her to know that she didn’t acknowledge him as her son after he was born?

Jasmine’s throat turned dry in pain, tears threatening to spew over. She never imagined that the pain of leaving a child alone could be so much. She took her hands back quickly and asked in a choked voice,

" Is...Is he healthy? How..how will he look like?"

Ralph had yet to notice her tears. He explained pretty excitedly, staring at the womb,

" He will more likely have features like your son. They are born from the same seeds, you know. He is a healthy and strong boy."

Jasmine was a little surprised to hear that. She questioned him again worriedly,

" But... that’s a big problem then. What if they meet each other one day? Won’t they find out the truth then?"

Ralph replied very confidently, shaking his head on the process,

" That’s impossible! My son will grow up in the demon realm. He has no reason to visit the lands of living creatures. So, there’s no chance of something like that to happen."

Jasmine felt relieved after hearing him and consistently kept sending glances to the artificial womb. Today, she felt a pull towards this child. What if she could take care of both of her children?

But she gave her words to the demon king. One was his and the other was hers but her heart couldn’t accept it simply. Probably after today, she wouldn’t have the chance to meet her other son ever again. These thoughts made her teary and Jasmine ended up winning in tears loudly.

This time, it caught Ralph’s attention who quickly came on her side to ask consistently,

" Jasmine! What happened to you? Are you hurting anywhere? Is your stomach hurting?"

Jasmine didn’t say anything in words, only cried harder this time to see his concern. Everything else slipped out of Ralph’s mind. He strongly thought that Jasmine was in pain because of the baby in her stomach surely. He didn’t waste a second in lifting her up in his arms to carry her back to his chamber.

Jasmine didn’t struggle as she needed to be strong for spilling out the harsh truth to him. After he brought her into his own chamber, he put her on the bed first before telling anxiously,

" Hold on a moment! I will use my power to erase your pain!!"

Just when he lifted his hands to use the dark magic, Jasmine finally spoke, blocking his hand,

" Demon King!! I..I have to tell you something.. and don’t worry...I am not in pain!!"

Ralph didn’t say anything, only stared at her pained expression. He nodded his head like a robot and stood up to give her full attention. Jasmine got down from the bed as well, her voice cracking as she began to speak between her tears,

" Do..do you know that you will be a good husband to your wife one day?"
