Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 625: Forbidden Love Tastes Sweet (Jasmine & Ralph - Part 22)

On Ralph’s roar, Oscar snapped back to reality and saw Jasmine’s lying body on the floor. The love that they shared hit his mind hard. His eyes teared up at the same time as he staggered to come next to Jasmine’s dead body. Putting down Cedric aside, he began to wail pathetically, not caring about Ralph whose face was full of pain,

" Jasmine...I..I am so sorry..I...I shouldn’t have...I won’t kill your child.. Jasmine... please.."

Ralph left Jasmine’s side for a while. Getting up from the ground, he held up Cedric in his arms and put him down in the crib carefully. Afterwards he turned around to confront Oscar,his each word carrying weight,

" You..YOU LET HER DIE! IT’S YOU WHO PUSHED HER TO TAKE HER OWN LIFE!!"

Oscar didn’t retort this time. He knew that Ralph wasn’t accusing him falsely. Indirectly it was him who let this happen especially since he was determined to kill the child. Oscar raised his head to stare at Ralph whose eyes were turning black, releasing his inner demon slowly,

" I deserve to die!! Just kill me!! I don’t deserve her love!"

Oscar admitted it openly. It was human’s nature to cherish someone only after she was dead. At this point, he also understood that he lost the person who loved him unconditionally. Ralph let out a bitter laugh after hearing him.

What was the point of saying these words now? Could Jasmine ever come back? No!!

Ralph rambled his words out, his palms were itching to cast magic at Oscar,

" You let her die!! You don’t deserve her, Oscar! You even went to claim the throne when she was in labor. Do you even her husband?"

Oscar was surprised to hear that Ralph had known through him already. Right after Jasmine contractions started, Oscar turned himself to his father, assuring that Jasmine would be sending away today as he made his master plan of killing Cedric today. His father trusted him and officially passed the throne to Oscar in a secret ceremony.

Oscar opened his mouth to say something but Ralph didn’t give him the chance anymore. He growled his words out, looking down at Jasmine’s lifeless body,

" Now that she is gone, you are pretending that you care for her? You are worse than an animal, King Oscar!!! Worse!!"

Oscar cried harder, his remorse were getting heavier. He pleaded to Ralph in a cracking voice, staring at Jasmine’s body,

" I don’t know who you are...Just kill me...I don’t deserve to live..She left.. everything for me..."

Ralph sucked a deep breath to control his emotions, the corner of his lips lifted up slightly before he said his words one by one,

" You deserve worse punishment, even worse than death! Death can’t compare to the sins that you have committed by killing her. So from this day onwards, I curse you to forget every bad things about her and will remember only the love and bond that you shared with her. You will regret each day living, you will yearn for her until you take your last breath. This would be the best punishment for you. There’s nothing more painful than remorse in this world."

Oscar was tongue-tied by the curse that he heard. Before he could have any reaction, he fell unconscious, next to Jasmine’s body. Ralph’s lips trembled together as he walked down to carry his favorite woman’s body in his arms. He recalled how she told him about her family passionately one day. Even though she didn’t say out loud, he understood that she missed her family badly. If someone deserved to do the funeral, it would be only her real family. However, he couldn’t move fast even if he wanted. The pain in his heart was heavier than the weight in his hands.

How could he survive after this??

The truth was that Ralph didn’t blame Oscar only. Somehow he felt that she died because of his irresponsibility as well. Maybe she would have survived if he kept an eye on her secretly. Maybe he was too stubborn to keep his words.

The night outside was dark and gloomy again. The rain and thunderstorm hit the weather frequently. It was howling like the pain in Ralph’s heart. Using his ability, it didn’t take long for Ralph to find Jasmine’s parents house.

Jasmine’s father who was going to take the bed heard the sound of door knocking suddenly. He frowned as the caretaker was long gone to sleep. His sons were also absent in the house.

Who could be knocking at his room’s door?

He still went over the open the door. As soon as he opened them wide, shock and exclamation took over his face. The father cried out to see the lifeless body in Ralph’s hands,

" Jasmine... dear daughter...."

Ralph stood there like a statue. His face had no emotions as if he was made of stone. He didn’t even care about the wetness of his body. One by one, he said to Jasmine’s father slowly, 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

" I believe that your anger has disappeared after seeing your dead daughter!"

Jasmine’s father kept weeping as he touched the head of her dead body carefully,

" Who did this.. who are you..my daughter...who killed her...tell me, man..who did this to her..who are you to her..."

Ralph stayed silent on the question of who he was to her. Exactly! Who he was to him? They had no relationship yet their bond was stronger than anymore. Maybe the relationships without name was more pure than the relationships with name.

Ralph replied in a broken voice, tears threatening to come down from his eyes,

" I..I am no one...you should arrange her funeral..You are her father, after all."

Jasmine’s father nodded before crying harder. Ralph walked in and put Jasmine’s body down on the bed before instructing to arrange the funeral fast. Afterwords, he was gone for a while and appeared in an unknown place of the demon realm. He stood in front of statue of Demon God and told his thoughts without holding back,

" Even if you curse me and put me in hell, I want to keep a soul with me, father!"
