Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 624: Forbidden Love Tastes Sweet ( Ralph & Jasmine - Part 21)

" it’s... because of the baby?"

One maid asked another, their eyes laid on the shattered glass on the ground. They seemed scared to see all the bad signs. From black petal to whirlwind wind, glass shattering, everything resembled bad and ominous signs. They were unable to believe that it was happening all because of an unborn baby.

The maids hesitated to assist Jasmine who was screaming in pain. They were doubtful but Jasmine pleaded to them, sensing their hesitations,

" Please... don’t leave me.. Please..my baby.."

The maid’s heart melted on her pleading. They glanced among each other then continued to assist Jasmine. Jasmine cried, hissed and growled in pain, her cries reaching each corner of the castle. After a long two hours of trying, little Cedric finally came out of her womb.

The maids congratulated Jasmine who just finished giving birth,

" My lady! Look! It’s a boy!!"

Jasmine raised her head up weakly to see his face. When she looked at his baby face, she froze in astonishment. Even his baby face resembled Ralph in many ways. They both had the same eyes. Jasmine was surprised to realize that she didn’t disgust herself for giving birth to this son who looked like someone else, not her husband.

Tears of happiness shed from her eyes. Sniffing her nose, she opened her arms to take little Cedric from the maids,

" Give him to me!"

Jasmine held him carefully and kissed on his forehead before hearing the maid asking,

" What will you name him, My Lady?"

Jasmine had already selected the name long ago. She smiled happily before sharing the name,

" Cedric!! He will be called Cedric!"

Then someone popped in her mind when she remembered about Oscar. Her happiness had long faded as she asked the maids in a trembling,

" His highness...is he back??"

How could she forget that her happiness wouldn’t last longer?

The maids looked at each other before shaking their heads. However right at that time, someone from the castle announced Oscar’s arrival. Jasmine gasped in fear as she held the baby tightly in her arms. The maid left as well to give them space.

Oscar appeared with a bloody axe in his grip. Even though he wasn’t in the castle, he knew what happened in his absence. His spies were all over the castle. When he heard that Jasmine tried to go back to her family, everything became crystal clear for him. Oscar understood that Jasmine had known through his plan and was trying to fool him as well. In the end, she had all the intention to save her son. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

As soon as Jasmine spotted Oscar, she clung onto Cedric tightly. Oscar didn’t try to act well anymore. He stormed to her before grabbing the baby away despite Jasmine’s pleading and request.

Oscar acted ruthlessly. One hand, he held the baby up and on the other hand, he tried to push Jasmine away. Jasmine kept wailing on his feet until he kicked her aside, snarling his words out,

" FUCK OFF!! This baby will be a disaster for my family and a disgrace. Do you think that I would let him live? GO AWAY!!"

Jasmine was thrown on the floor. She wept harder and saw the knife nearby. In her mind, she said sorry to her daughters and her other son who never knew her mother. Dragging herself up to the table, Jasmine gripped the knife and cut off her own throat in front of Oscar’s eyes.

At the same time in the demon realm, the pendant around Ralph’s neck broke down on his own. Ralph who was engrossed in drinking stopped breathing for a while. He looked down at the pendant in disbelief and mumbled to himself repeatedly,

" This... can’t happen.. it’s lie..lie...she...she...no.."

Ralph wore that pendant as a symbol of Jasmine’s promise. He thought that he would be happy as long as she was alive and living happily. At that moment, all the promises that he made to Jasmine were all gone. He wanted to watch her once.

Rushing out of the room, he used a different portal to arrive in Jasmine’s room. As soon as he appeared, all he could find was her lifeless body. The astounded Oscar still stood on the other side of the room, too shocked to react to anything. The baby in his hands kept crying harder but no one said anything.

Ralph looked down at the numb body a few steps away from him. His chest tightened in pain so much that he couldn’t drag his own feet. After a long awkward silence, his legs dragged to her slowly. His steps were clumsy as if he had lost the strength of walking. Each step he took to her dead body, his heart howled in pain which he never experienced before.

The wild wind blew through his curls, freezing his heart further. Once he came closer to her body, his knees went off, falling next to her. Very carefully, he picked her head up from the ground as if his touch would break her into pieces. Holding her head against his chest, for the first time the stone hearted demon king cried out loudly in pain,

" JASSSMINNNN!!!! NO!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!! WHAT..."

Ralph kept crying loudly, his pain hitting Oscar as well who also understood what he had done wrong. However, it was too late to say sorry, too late to apologize. He kept staring at the demon king who was hugging Jasmine’s dead body and crying.

Oscar came back to his senses as well. He felt the heartache too. After all, Jasmine was his true love and was part of her life. He stuttered, tears forming in his eyes as he attempted to go over to Jasmine,

" Jas...Jas....my Jas..you.."

But one look from Ralph froze him at his pace. Ralph snarled his words out one by one in a dangerous voice,

" PUT..MY... BABY.. DOWN... PRINCE OSCAR..IF YOU WANT YOUR KINGDOM SAFE!"
