Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 629: The Snow Sword
The sudden fierceness from Arcabous caused Hayden to stumble on his feet in fear. He lifted his head up to see the creature growling at him in a threatening manner. Ayra was astounded as well. She noticed how Arcabous was being protective about her. Did he finally accept her?
Tears of happiness filled her eyes. She wanted to say something to Arcabous but Hayden’s angry growl snapped her attention,
" LET’S GO AWAY FROM THIS CRAP!!"
He said and went to pull away Ayra with him but Ayra suddenly pulled away from him, replied with a stubborn voice,
" I am not going anywhere with you."
Arcabous was her weakness. Now the dragon had come to defend her,she was no longer worried about her. A dragon was enough to save itself from Hayden. Hayden’s face turned gloomy then wild. Without any warning, he grabbed onto Ayra’s hair and began to push her forward mercilessly.
Ayra cried out in pain after his unexpected attack. The more she cried, the more he pushed her forward aggressively. Hayden began to mock her all the while, his lips pulling into a malicious grin,
" Do you think that Arcabous will help you out? You are nothing to be their queen. A dragon never accepts a weak master. You are just an useless thing."
On his saying, he grabbed her hair more fiercely and almost made her fall until another growl came from Arcabous. This time, he attacked Hayden with his big head, forcing him to be separated from Ayra. With a painful wail, Hayden’s body flew on the other side, slipping down on the ground with a loud thud.
Ayra seemed stupefied as well as she didn’t expect Arcabous to protect her from Hayden. Her eyes fluttered open to see the giant dragon growling. Hayden didn’t give up by one single hit. In fact, he was even more furious that Arcabous was disrespecting his status. In the past, he tried many times to tame this dragon. Since he failed, the hidden wrath never left his mind.
Standing up in a shot, Hayden invited an unnamed weapon. In a blink of an eye, Ayra saw him carrying a white sword. Snow was dripping from the sword slowly. A cruel smile broke into his lips. Ayra furrowed her brows together in shock. She couldn’t understand why Hayden was looking happy with the sword. Nor did she ever hear about this strange sword.
Hayden aimed forward with the sword, his speed faster than air. His speed almost seemed like a vampire which was more surprising. Right when he was about to stab the sword, Arcabous suddenly widened his eyes and showed something to Hayden.
Hayden’s feet briefly paused, shock appearing on his features. When he saw the scenes inside its eyes, the sword slipped out of his grip. The scene continued to play in Arcabous’s eyes. He saw how Roxanna was happy with Cedric in her living mansion, how they smiled together. Each scene continued to pierce through his heart, burning his feelings with jealousy and hatred. He became completely unresponsive to all the other events of his current world.
Arcabous took the moment to distract him. Using his long tail, he kicked Hayden away and urged Ayra to sit on its back. Ayra had no idea about the past, shown by Arcabous. On Arcabous’s signal, she climbed on its back before setting off. Before leaving the dark forest, she didn’t see where Hayden was.
Arcabous flew twice faster than the previous time. Passing the clouds and rainy nights, Arcabous continued to fly in an unknown direction. Ayra was still in her pain and was whining on its back. When she reopened her eyes, she couldn’t see Basarisk land anywhere down from the sky.
The clouds were getting deeper and deeper in the sky. Even moonlight was failing to see through the haze of clouds. Ayra whimpered before asking, her eyes looking around aimlessly,
" Arcabous... where.. where are you taking me... It’s not the way to Basarisk... Arcabous..."
The dragon didn’t react to her words. It continued flying higher and higher in the sky until no land was seen on the down. Ayra was panicking internally. She had a feeling as if Arcabous was carrying her to a different realm. In her state of panic, she muttered weakly to Arcabous, attempting to leave with her own wings,
" Arcabous..I think..I should go....by myself..why don’t you..."
Arcabous let out a roar before she could say anything further. Ayra was scared by his reaction. Despite her unsettled feelings, she stayed on Arcabous’s back and let it fly to wherever it wanted.
At the same time in an unknown place, a group of shadow soldiers suddenly made an appearance in front of Cedric. He was discussing his mother’s soul to the chief of demon guards. It was strange that no one knew where his mother’s soul was kept. In fact, he had no information of sending that soul to heaven. If it wasn’t in the demon realm or in heaven, where was it?
The shadow guards all took their knees together. It was their custom to respect someone together in this way. Cedric heard one of the guards speaking,
" Crown Prince...We have a little piece of news for you...."
Cedric was a little bit annoyed by their interruptions. He was already fed up with the duties of these scattered souls. He replied rudely,
" I am not interested in your soul seeking methods now. Get off! "
The shadow guards were speechless by his behaviors. They became quite adjusted to this sort of attitude. One of the shadow guards cleared his throat before mentioning it again,
" Well... it’s about your wife.." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Cedric’s mood changed abruptly. He stopped the important discussion and approached them instantly,
" What about her? Don’t say that she beat you all?"
The guards were all speechless again but one of them blurted out anxiously in case Cedric lost his mind,
" She flew away with your dragon...They can’t be found anywhere until now...."
