Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 636: The Perfect Moon Night
" Is she okay?"
Ralph spoke in a concerned voice as he watched Cedric picking her up in his arms. Thanks to her magic, it didn’t work in the demon realm. That was the reason, Cedric was able to erase her memory. He didn’t want the rest of their days to be painful. To be honest, he was quite shocked to find out that Arcabous managed to enter the demon realm.
Cedric gave him a low hum as he walked back to the dragon. Before passing Ralph, he said in a serious voice, his voice dangerously low,
" Next time, your demons dare to touch her, I will burn your whole kingdom into ashes."
Ralph only sighed heavily at his words. He wasn’t angry at Cedric. After all, he too loved a woman too much in the past. He knew the feelings of watching your loved one getting into danger. Cedric climbed on Arcabous with Ayra in his arms. The dragon flew off in the sky and started their journey back to Basarisk. All the way, Ayra was unconscious. Cedric felt guilty to see her at this state. At this point of life, he really believed that he didn’t deserve her trust and love. It was him who was consistently lying to her.
But did he have a second choice? No!! He was bound by responsibilities and duties.
Arcabous carefully landed in the back yard of the castle. As soon as Cedric got down, Arcabous intended to leave but Cedric’s cold voice stopped the dragon,
" WAIT!!"
Arcabous stopped like an obedient pet. In reality, Arcabous was upset as well. Although it couldn’t speak, dragons were always very sensitive creatures. They were bound with their master’s emotions.
Cedric walked in front of Arcabous, his eyes fixated on it as he spoke in a harsh voice,
" I know, you hate her. You have every right to that. But I will never allow you to put her in danger because of your wrath, Arcabous. Don’t test my patience! I might be a king but don’t forget that I am a demon as well. If you try to put her in danger, the consequences will be far worse for you."
Arcabous only let out a low howl, it’s head hanging low as if it knew his own mistake. After Cedric spoke his words out, he walked back into the castle through the back door. He didn’t want others to find out what actually happened. Only Frenchies was being told to stop searching anymore.
After Cedric brought Ayra into their room, he put her on the bed carefully. His heart ached to see her pale face. He felt that Ayra was actually scared. His fiery angel had been scared for the first time. His hand caressed her face softly. From her nose to her lips, it stopped right after her chin. If it was possible, he wanted to bring her there every now and then. It made him guilty to think that she was put in danger all because of her.
He looked outside the window, his mind filling with thoughts. The weather started turning chilly. A cold breeze was coming through the holes of the door. Cedric zoomed his eyes on the fireplace. In a second, the fireplace caught fire on his own. He waited by his side, waiting for her to awake.
Almost an hour later, Ayra was cast out of the magic. By that time, she was awake, her memory in the demon realm was gone. She woke up confused and muddle-headed. Her eyes looked around groggily. She was shocked to see Cedric standing in the room.
Wasn’t he supposed to come late?
Ayra asked with a frown, her head feeling dizzy because of the magic that was cast on her,
" When did you come back? How..how did I fall asleep?"
During the time, Cedric was well aware about her activities. Thus he came up with the story to avoid any suspension,
" You fell off from Arcabous. I got you back."
He replied with a small smile, coming close to her. Her eyes were bright again. She seemed puzzled as she tried to recall something. However everything was blank after she flew with Arcabous in the sky. She still felt uncomfortable about everything. Why couldn’t she remember when she fell? Did she really hurt too much? That part of her memory fell wierd to herself although she remembered nothing.
Ayra murmured, touching her head,
" But I don’t remember..I don’t remember anything.. Cedric... what happened to me? Did I really fall?"
Cedric replied with a tight smile, his hands coming up to caress her hair,
" I have no reason to lie. Besides shouldn’t you ask about me more than the small incident? I haven’t seen you for a whole day."
Ayra blushed at his words. Indeed they didn’t see each other for the whole day. She initiated the talk, scooting closer to him,
" You have been away for these days. I miss you."
The last of her words brought him a smile on his lips. He grinned maliciously, pulling her up from the bed,
" Look at the moon tonight! It’s just so perfect for a romantic date!"
Ayra chuckled before looking at the moon. Indeed it was perfect round and bright tonight. For angels, the round moon signified beauty and peace. Ayra stood next to the window, her lips forming into a big smile. She said excitedly, pointing at the moon,
" You really know how to cheer a woman. You must have done it many times."
There was a hint of jealousy in her tone which made Cedric happy. A person could only be jealous if she cared for the people honestly. Cedric came behind her, wrapped his arms around her slim figure. He whispered into her ears huskily,
" I have only you now..and forever..."
Ayra blushed hard and kept looking at the moon until he added a heavy blow into her ears again,
" I want to have you by the window, love. Can I.. please?"
