Chapter 326: He is My Husband

When the door was opened, the bell rang, causing the chubby woman behind the bar to turn towards the door to greet her customer.

"Welcome, Sir and Miss. Would you like to eat here or stay here?" The woman asked as she approached Arielle and offered to take off the girl’s coat.

"I want to eat here." Arielle gave her the coat. The woman looked at Ronan and asked for the man’s robe, but he remained unmoved.

"Sir, your robe?" The woman asked Ronan, who was silently looking around the dining area. "Miss, don’t your bodyguard want to take off his robe?"

Ronan twisted his neck to the chubby woman and glared at her. Arielle glanced at the man and smiled. She wrapped her arm around Ronan’s arm tightly.

"My husband doesn’t really like crowds. Can he still wear it?" asked Arielle with a sweet voice.

Now, it was Arielle’s turn to be stared at by Ronan.

"Ahahaha! I understand. I get it! I get it. It doesn’t matter. Then, I’ll hang the coat for you first. You can sit wherever you want," the woman said, pointing across the bustling restaurant.

After being left by the woman who owned the restaurant, Arielle led Ronan to sit at the remaining table. The table was for two. Beside her was a long table of many people. Men were joking while drinking their beers, while women were gossiping with children running around.

"It turned out to be very crowded," Arielle commented, smiling at the crowd there. It was like seeing a mini carnival in the room, with some people singing in another corner of the restaurant.

Ronan stared at Arielle, who looked very happy. He was still surprised by her words earlier. Just as he was about to ask a question, a young man approached them by offering a line of menus. The young man whistled when he saw Arielle’s beauty.

Ronan glared at him with a piercing gaze, as if he was about to kill the young man with his eyes.

"Well, are you free tonight, My lady?" he asked, leaning one hand on Arielle’s front desk. "If so, I’d really like to hang out with you."

Arielle immediately grabbed Ronan’s hand to stop the man from standing up.

"I came with my husband," replied Arielle, making the young man touch his chest.

"Ah, a heartbreak at our first meeting."

"I am going to order," Arielle said after reading the menu. She saw some of Northendell’s food, so she ordered the names of foods she had never tried.

When she asked Ronan what the man wanted to eat, Ronan just nodded, agreed with her choice. For the drinks, Arielle ordered a glass of orange juice for herself and a pint of beer for Ronan.

The young man took Arielle’s order and gave the girl a wink as he left the table. Arielle was wearing a Northendell dress, a brown dress with synthetic fur to warm the neck and wrists.

Almost all the women in the restaurant wore the same clothes. However, when Arielle wore it, the girl still stood out. Some men and youths turned their heads to take a closer look at Arielle. So were the women. Arielle’s beauty attracted them to take a glance.

A little child even stopped running to look at Arielle openly.

"Hello, is there anything I can help you with?" asked Arielle, bending down slightly to match with the little child.

"Miss, are you willing to wait another ten years? I want to marry you," said the child, making people on the table next to Arielle burst out laughing. Being laughed at like that, the child snapped at them with a red face. "What are you laughing at? I just want to confirm my future!"

Arielle chuckled. Seeing the child reminded her of Sasha.

"You don’t have to listen to him, Miss. This kid has always been like that. He will propose to any beautiful woman," said a woman, who then pulled the child away. "Come here, don’t embarrass me." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

It seemed that the woman was the mother of the child. "It’s okay. He reminded me of the little child around your son’s age in the pala- uhm, my house. He is also very active, like your son."

The woman covered her mouth in surprise. "Oh my! You already have a child of this size? You still look very young, Miss." The woman glanced at Ronan, who was sitting idly in his chair. Feeling the gaze piercing through his head, Ronan arched his eyebrows.

"He’s not my son, but my brother, to be precise."

"Ah! I understand now.... Is he your husband?" the woman asked, pointing to Ronan. Arielle nodded. "You guys are newlyweds, huh?"

"Er... that’s how it is," Arielle replied, a little unsure.

"Geez! Congratulations then. May you be blessed with many children so that your house is always warm!"

Arielle smiled. "Thank you." Arielle replied.

The woman shifted in her seat and patted the empty space for Arielle to join in. "Come here. We are a big family from the northernmost border village bordering Mount Birwick. We came to the capital because my husband is going to visit the palace. Since we live in a rural area, we are all eager to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the capital"

"Ah! I haven’t been to the Mount Birwick area yet."

The woman waved her hand. "There’s nothing there. Just like a normal village you could find anywhere, but because our village is near Mount Birwick so we have a lot of myths there."

"Oh really? I’ve heard about Mount Birwick a lot. What kind of myths is there?"

"There is a lot, Miss. One of them is the myth that Mount Birwick became the first place where the Moon Goddess descended to earth. Thus, making it a sacred mountain for us Northerners."

"Arielle, our food has arrived," called Ronan as the young waiter brought the food to their table.

"Ah, my husband called me," Arielle said, then sat back at her table.

After returning to her seat, Arielle whispered to Ronan. "Ronan, do you have a book about the myths of Mount Birwick?" asked Arielle as she cut the potatoes on her plate.

"Yes, I have some. Do you want to read it?"

The girl nodded quickly. Arielle and Ronan began to eat quietly. The little boy who had proposed to Arielle earlier was standing by their table again, peering under Ronan’s hood to see the man’s face.

"You’re handsome. Why do you cover your face?" asked the boy.
