Chapter 330: Meeting Priest Louise

"Welcome Your Majesty, what is the need for this small house to be blessed by your presence?" asked the old man in a trembled voice, reminding Arielle of Prince Archie’s grandfather, Duke Ambrose, who was both old and spoke with a trembled voice.

"What are you doing here, Viscount Ferdi?" Ronan asked as he approached Priest Louise and Viscount Ferdi.

"I came to ask Priest Louise for help to be the one who gives blessing to my marriage."

"I see, Priest Louise has retired, am I right? Priest Elis can do it for you," Ronan replied.

"That’s right, Your Majesty. it’s just that both my parents once received a blessing from Priest Louise and I am thinking of getting the same for me and my future wife."

Ronan turned to Priest Louise who was just smiling by the door.

"Once again, I am sorry, Viscount Ferdi. I am too old to travel far."

"Ahahaha it’s fine, Priest Louise, I understand it well. Then, I am going first. Your Majesty."

Ronan nodded after Viscount Ferdi bowed respectfully once more. The man stopped in front of Arielle. He didn’t recognize the girl, but because Arielle had arrived with his king, Viscount Ferdi also bowed his head towards her respectfully.

Arielle watched the man leave. Something flashed through her mind when she saw Viscount Ferdi. However, she didn’t dare to say it out loud because she didn’t want to be prejudged. Ronan had to call Arielle so that the girl would follow him inside.

Two priest apprentices offered to keep both Ronan and Arielle’s coats. Priest Louise invited Ronan into his office. Another priest apprentice came to prepare two cups of tea and then placed it on the table in front of Ronan and Arielle.

Arielle was so amazed. From the outside, the house looked small, but it was quite spacious on the inside and there were many priest apprentices living here.

"They don’t study in the Cathedral?’ Arielle asked while whispering to Ronan, who looked at quite several priest apprentices hanging around the house.

"They are not priest apprentices. They are just ordinary people who were taught a little knowledge by Priest Louise. They are not registered," Ronan replied.

Priest Louise sat on a coach which was softer to suit his aging body. After staring at Arielle for a few seconds, the old man put on a subtle smile.

"Welcome, Princess. I am sorry for not welcoming you well. My bones are already very frail and I was advised to get plenty of rest."

Arielle waved her hand. "It’s all right, Priest Louise," she replied nervously.

For a moment, the two of them stared at each other, and Priest Louise nodded. He understood the purpose of the king’s visit to his house.

"It seems the princess’s power has been unlocked," said Priest Louise, making Ronan shake his head.

"Ah, that’s another topic. I just wanted to say that my wedding will be held in three weeks," Ronan replied, making Priest Louis open his mouth wide in surprise.

"Your Majesty..."

"I’ve thought about this. Arielle plans to learn her powers slowly and after discussing it together, we decided Arielle will learn about her power after she is crowned as a queen. During these three weeks, Arielle will learn something else too. I don’t want to pile it all on her."

Priest Louis covered his mouth again, then he beamed. Just like his son, the man’s smile felt very sincere and gentle.

"If that’s what you want, then I can’t refuse."

***

Ronan introduced Priest Louise as the one who gave him a blessing when he ascended the throne. That old man was also the one who taught him a lot about how to become a wise king when his father died. He was mentored by Priest Louise. Therefore, Ronan wanted Priest Louise to do the same for his wedding.

Priest Louise turned out to be one of Priestess Unor’s apprentices. When Priestess Unor became a queen, Priest Louise was still a priest apprentice at the Cathedral. He was also one of the priest apprentices who handled the mysterious man found on Mount Birwick that disappeared mysteriously.

Seeing Arielle reminded Priest Louise about the mysterious man.

"Your Majesty, may I hold the Princess’s hand for a moment?" Priest Louise asked, asking the king’s permission.

Ronan turned to Arielle, and the girl nodded. Priest Louise stretched out his hand. Because Arielle was younger, the girl took the initiative to approach him. She hadn’t the heart to make Priest Louise move around a lot with his frail body.

The moment their hands touched, Priest Louise closed his eyes for a moment. He made a trigram in the other hand and then wrapped the trigram in Arielle’s hand.

The man mumbled and nodded his head.

"Obviously, this is something different. However, this mana flow is nothing new. I’ve met someone like this before."

"D-does that mean I am not the child of the Moon Goddess, Priest?" Arielle asked nervously.

"Hm... wait a moment, Princess."

Priest Louise stood stiffly. Arielle rushed to help the old man, making Priest Louise smile. "Thank you. I need to get a book first."

"Let me help you," the girl said, then she helped Priest Louis walk to an ancient-looking bookshelf.

The books looked old yet well preserved. The paper had yellowed and there were some brown spots on each of them. Priest Louise scrutinized the row of books for a while, then pointed to a book at the bottom.

Arielle took the thick and heavy book from the shelf. Ronan, who saw Arielle was in trouble, helped the girl and brought the big book to the table. The book was quite dusty to make Ronan cough a little. The dust scattered in the air as he laid it on the table.

Arielle escorted Priest Louise to return to his seat, then she sat back beside Ronan.

"This is the record of the man your great-grandfather found, Your Majesty. When the man was found on the far end of Mount Birwick in an unconscious state, the surrounding snow completely melted. The anomaly shook the trigram of the globe and after we lifted the man back to the palace, the snow fell again, covering the green land."

Ronan nodded. He knew about the case during his great-grandfather’s time. It was almost the same as what Arielle went through when they were in Frostmount Village last time.

Arielle was found unconscious in the forest and melted the snow around her perfectly as her body glowed with a dazzling light.

"That man has more or less the same traits as you, Princess."
