Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 336: Tania’s Happy Tears
Arielle returned to her room and found no one, and her rabbits were scattered around. She saw that the mirror she had broken before leaving the palace had been replaced with a new one. She smiled, then grimaced at the sheer amount of jewelry and new dresses Ronan had bought for her.
"He really bought them all," the girl muttered.
Arielle got out of her room to look for Tania. She wanted to meet her old maid and apologize for leaving her alone for the last few days. Tania must have had a hard time taking care of Crimson by herself.
Arielle called a guard who was on guard near the stairs.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Your Highness?"
"Do you see Tania?" Arielle asked.
"Tania? Your maid? It looks like she is in the servants’ quarters with the other maids."
"Ah, thank you."
After receiving information about Tania’s whereabouts, Arielle went to the servants’ quarters. Tania was gathering and talking with her fellow maids. And Tania, who hadn’t met Arielle for a few days, rushed out of the room. The old woman wiped her hands with the apron she was wearing.
"Where have you been, Your Highness? If His Majesty the King does not give words, I will be anxiously waiting for you to come back."
Tania looked at Arielle’s eyes, which now had a different color. The woman cupped the princess’s face gently.
"I need time to organize my mind, Tania. And Ronan helped me to make a decision," Arielle replied in a whisper.
Tania nodded, and Arielle invited the woman to talk in her room. She didn’t want anyone to overhear their conversation.
While in the room, Tania saw all the things the king had bought for Arielle. She didn’t know what had happened. She was only assigned to put all the stuff into Arielle’s room and William paid for them. Of course, the palace was in an uproar because no one had ever seen anyone buy this much stuff.
The broken mirror had also been replaced since the first day Arielle went out of the palace. Tania was anxious because she never once thought that Arielle would break a mirror.
Tania couldn’t imagine how great the burden and responsibility that the girl felt, so she let her feelings out by breaking the mirror.
(It must be so hard) she thought.
If Tania was there, she would definitely have hugged Arielle. What Priest Elis and Priest Khan told her was beyond comprehension. Who wouldn’t be surprised to find out that the child she had been taking care of since a baby had a special power that could lift the curse of two kingdoms at once?
At first, Tania didn’t want to trust Priest Elis or Priest Khan. But who is she? She didn’t have any knowledge compared to the two high priests who had a lot of knowledge. The change in Arielle’s eye color was also not a mere coincidence. It was proof that the girl was special.
Tania didn’t have many memories of Mirabelle either. All she knew was that Mirabelle was the wife of King Hugo who had fled to her village, lived there, and helped many people there.
She knew nothing about Mirabelle’s past before King Hugo came to pick up Arielle and the woman’s dead body. There was nothing special about Mirabelle. She almost looked like Arielle. Beautiful and looked frail from the outside.
"What am I going to do with all this stuff?" Arielle exclaimed in frustration. All the dresses and jewelry that Ronan had bought for her made her head spin. There was no way she could use all of them.
Arielle’s question snapped Tania from her reverie. She took the girl’s hand and squeezed it gently.
"Your Highness, I’m sorry. When you were down, I couldn’t hug you. I wish I could turn back the time. I would like to give my hug to comfort you," said Tania, full of regret.
Arielle shook her head. "No, Tania. I should be the one apologizing. At that time, I was very scared and panicked. Now I can think with a rational mind again." Said Arielle. "And Tania...."
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"I decided to train my powers properly. Honestly, I still have a doubt, but I have determined to explore my potential. I have also met Priest Louise, Father of Priest Elis. It helped me a lot in calming myself down. Whatever the result in the future is, I will try my best," said Arielle, making Tania smile.
This was the real Arielle that Tania knew. A girl with tenacity to keep learning. Tania was very grateful to the king, who helped the princess to get her confidence.
Arielle always had great potential that was hidden behind her timidness. She couldn’t prove herself because her family never gave her a chance to try out her potential. However, now she was in the right place. A place that would really make her shine brightly.
Tania shed tears, making Arielle startled.
"Tania? Why are you crying?"
Tania wiped her tears quickly. It was a joyful cry. She really did not expect that Arielle had grown this fast. Arielle’s journey was still very long, but seeing Arielle begin to walk with confident steps made Tania proud of her.
"It’s all right, Princess. I’m happy right now," she replied, after wiping her tears with her sleeve.
"Happy? Then, why are you crying?" Arielle asked in confusion.
"These are happy tears, Princess. A tearful cry because I see the child I cared for since a baby has now become an adult."
Arielle stopped, holding Tania’s shoulder. The old woman looked up and gave an understanding smile that moved Arielle to tears. Her lips trembled with tears. Arielle shook her head profusely so as not to cry like Tania. Arielle could feel it. A feeling of joy that almost made her cry happily.
The girl spread her arms, then hugged Tania tightly. Tania also returned the girl’s hug no less tightly.
"I hope I will have a long life so I can see you become an extraordinary person in the future," said Tania, making Arielle chuckle.
"You will live long, Tania. You will live another hundred years."
"I hope so," she replied.
