Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 340: Lazarus Wants To Talk With Arielle
Ronan forced himself not to admit that what he was doing was... fun. He also didn’t want to admit that he was quite amused by Crimson’s adorable face, who was sleeping on his chest.
He was no longer uncomfortable with the child’s drool that wet his clothes. Instead, with his big hand, Ronan touched the soft cheek with his index finger.
"How long will it take to wait for the results to come out?" Arielle asked about the DNA test.
"Priest Jill said that he would bring the results to me tonight. So there’s still a few hours left."
Arielle stroked Ronan’s hair several times, making the man feel a little sleepy even though it was still early afternoon. The soft touch of Arielle’s hand cradled Ronan until he unconsciously fell asleep on Arielle’s lap with Crimson on his chest.
Seeing Ronan’s peaceful face, she smiled faintly. She knew the reason Ronan didn’t want to have children in the future. Arielle was also not that desperate to have a child right away.
All she wanted to do was help the man, as well as Northendell. However, seeing the man sleeping soundly with a baby on his chest, she thought he looked very adorable. Arielle began to imagine what if they had a child?
Arielle admitted Ronan was an awkward person when it came to small things. When the man was just getting to know the rabbits, Ronan obviously hated them, but then he got close to them. He even named one of the bunnies.
And now it was Crimson’s turn. The first time he touched Crimson, it was very awkward. Yet looked at them now, sleeping together like father and child.
One of the man’s hands holding Crimson’s back fell to the side, a sign that Ronan had fallen asleep.
Arielle decided to let the man rest for a while. Taking care of Lazarus and Sasha must have made him tired more than doing the paperwork all day.
At first, Arielle planned to let Ronan sleep for only half an hour, but after half an hour had passed, she couldn’t bear to wake the man up, so the time had passed to an hour. Ronan woke up when Crimson wriggled on top of him and whimpered a little.
Ronan rubbed his eyes lightly. For the first time, he forgot the time and fell asleep. Oh, no. This was the second time. The first was on his birthday. Ronan slept long enough back then.
Ronan was the most punctual person and Arielle admitted it. The man seemed to have an alarm that made him wake up based on the schedule he had set.
Every time Arielle spent the night with him, she was always the last person to wake up. And when she woke up, Ronan was fully awake with a fresh face.
The man seemed to be used to setting his bedtime. If he planned to sleep for thirty minutes, he would wake up in thirty minutes. And if he wanted to sleep for an hour, then he would wake up an hour later.
"Did I sleep that long?" he asked, feeling lighter than usual. Honestly, Ronan slept soundly. He didn’t even notice the time.
"Not really, you’ve only been asleep for an hour," Arielle replied as she carried Crimson. It seemed like it was time for the baby to eat.
"Oh, shit. I’ve been asleep for half an hour longer," he cursed softly.
Arielle laughed and stroked the man’s face. "Half an hour late won’t kill you. You need rest."
Ron nodded. "Thank you," he replied.
"Then I’ll be back. Looks like it’s time for Crimson to eat."
"I’ll escort you," he said, making Arielle rush to push the man back into his chair.
"No need. I’m just going to see Tania."
Ronan took the girl’s hand and Arielle planted a peck on his lips before leaving the room. Crimson was getting restless in her arms. When she arrived in front of her room, she saw Lazarus standing against the wall near the entrance to her room.
"Lazarus? What’s wrong?" she asked. Arielle was worried after seeing Lazarus’ dejected face.
Lazarus glanced at Crimson in Arielle’s arms, then looked away
"I ... want to talk for a moment," he said.
"Ah, then wait a moment. I’ll hand Crimson to Tania for a bit. It’s time for her to eat.
Lazarus just nodded. He didn’t turn his head to look at Arielle and Crimson, who entered the room.
There were three maids inside, including Tania, who were putting all the clothes Ronan bought into a box along with the jewelry.
"Where do you want to put them?" Arielle asked Tania.
"Lord Lucas has prepared a bigger room with a special walk-in closet for clothes storage, so you don’t need to use the closet anymore."
"Shall we leave this room?" Arielle asked.
"That’s right, and the room is near the Whitethorn Palace’s library. Lord Lucas said you’d love that place because it has a special library for queens. It’s different from the library in Blackthorn Palace."
"Sounds fun," Arielle replied. She liked the idea that there was a library near her room. So that in the future, Arielle would no longer need to wander around at night to the Blackthorn Palace just to borrow a book.
"You brought Crimson with you? Looks like it’s time for her to eat," Tania said as she took Crimson from Arielle’s arms.
"Yes. But I can’t accompany you this time, Tania. Someone is waiting for me."
"It’s okay, Princess. I can do it. The others can help me," Tania said, and the other two maids nodded while smiling warmly at her.
"Then I’ll go for a bit."
"Very well, Princess."
After handing Crimson to Tania, Arielle left her room. Lazarus was still waiting for her in the same place.
"Lazarus," Arielle called, making the man turn his face. He straightened up his back and smiled faintly.
Lazarus forced his smile. It seemed that the existence of Crimson had really depressed him. Arielle couldn’t pressure the man any further so that Lazarus wouldn’t do anything strange again.
