Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 380: The Obvious Lie
"Last night was like a dream," Ronan said, breaking the silence between them. "For the first time, I have the slightest consciousness to call your name. How did you do it?"
"I was just talking to you," Arielle replied briefly.
"Oh, really? Just like that? Then, why were you suddenly there? And what about the scent? I had never smelled it, but it felt very familiar to me."
Ronan continued to ask without giving Arielle time to answer.
"And more importantly, did you really remember your promise?"
Arielle buried her burning face in the man’s chest. Ronan chuckled. His hand did not stay still. It trailed on the girl’s body before lifting her dress to her thighs. Arielle quickly stopped him.
"Nope."
"Why?" he asked, confused by Arielle sudden refusal.
"Remember your promise?"
"But no one will bother us here.."
Arielle released Ronan’s hand from her thighs. It wasn’t whether someone was there or not. She was still worried about the man’s condition. Ronan’s head was injured because of last night’s incident.
Didn’t he feel pain? He should rest right now, instead of doing something perverted.
"Ronan, your head was injured. Just rest," said Arielle, who refused his touch.
Ronan was very stubborn. Arielle had gripped one of his hands tightly to keep it from touching her, but he used the other hand to pull Arielle’s dress down and bit the girl’s shoulder.
Arielle grabbed Ronan’s arm unconsciously, feeling her body getting more sensitive for no apparent reason. He kept biting her, and Arielle moaned as Ronan touched a certain part of her neck.
"You smell so good," Ronan whispered in Arielle’s ear, making the girl tremble.
There was a strange feeling that Arielle felt for the first time. She didn’t know why she thought like that, but Arielle wanted Ronan to mark her neck. She wondered, was this because of her power as the descendant of the Moon Goddess had been unlocked? But Otis said, if Ronan marked her, it would only shorten her life.
Arielle had never felt so desperate for a man’s touch. Her breath hitched, a sign that she was starting to get aroused by their intimate situation. When their lips met, Arielle kissed Ronan’s lips more aggressively. Ronan was happy because this was the first time the girl gave him a French Kiss.
"I don’t know if you can kiss me like this," said Ronan, who was proud of Arielle’s progress.
Ronan opened his mouth happily, letting Arielle’s tongue wrap around his. Their tongues were dancing together in rhythm. He grabbed the girl’s back and laid her on the bed.
Arielle’s refusal before was in vain. However, after seeing Ronan’s injured head, it snapped her back to her senses. She looked away when Ronan was about to kiss her lips again.
"What’s wrong? Why suddenly reject me?" Ronan said while kissing Arielle’s jaws.
"Uhm... aren’t you curious about the scent?" Arielle asked trying to divert the conversation.
"No, I’m more curious about your body right now."
Arielle shook her head, trying to push Ronan away.
"I know something about your curse. Don’t you want to know?’
Ronan raised his body half-heartedly. Then, he looked at Arielle. "What do you mean?"
Arielle breathed a sigh of relief. She pulled back the straps of her dress to her chest, but Ronan gripped her hand, stopping her from moving.
"Tell me first about what you mean. You know something about my curse?"
"Let’s talk while sitting."
Ronan glanced at Arielle’s chest. He sighed before nodding briefly. He had to give up on his chance. After she fixed her clothes, Arielle sat up straight. She kept some distance, so Ronan didn’t try to embrace her again.
"So? Do you know anything about my curse?" Ronan asked curiously.
Arielle nodded. "I can talk to the other side of you."
"My other side?"
"His name is Amadea. He is the God of Mount Birwick. He was the one who cursed the descendants of the first king, His Majesty Theodore, to this day. I communicated with him in the same way I communicated with you when you transformed into a wolf. There was a voice ringing in my head."
"Theodore? That’s right... it was the name of the first king of Northendell who conquered the small kingdoms. He was the one who contributed to make Northendell became a large kingdom. Then... Amadea?"
Ronan knew the name of that god. It was an ancient god worshipped by the people of the Birwick Kingdom long before Northendell was formed. Since the first king of Northendell conquered all the small kingdoms, most of the northerners had turned to worship the Moon Goddess. So, the other gods’ names were rarely heard today.
Ronan knew that name because he had studied it...
When Arielle passed out in the Frostmount, the girl called him with that name. At that time, Ronan thought she was just hallucinating, but everything was related to each other right now.
Besides, on Arielle’s first full moon night in Northendell, the wolf almost attacked the room where Arielle was resting. At that time, Ronan had little memory of Arielle’s frightened face. And when Arielle went to the South ... he didn’t remember anything at all. He spent his full moon night as usual.
And last night, Ronan could get back his consciousness and communicated with Arielle, even though it was only a brief moment.
"You are a descendant of the Moon Goddess, and I was cursed by the God of Mount Birwick. That’s interesting, huh? I never thought of it."
Ronan looked at Arielle’s blue eyes and observed them, making the girl nervous. "What is the reason for all of this? Why did it happen?"
Arielle didn’t know the answer to Ronan’s question because Otis didn’t tell her. She shook her head.
"Then, the scent?"
Arielle wasn’t sure. Should she tell him the truth about where she got the flower?
"I found the flower when Priest Louise invited me to visit his garden. You said you smelled a unique scent from my body, so I guess it was because I had touched the flower in my room and came back to take care of you. Maybe a little bit of the scent was left on me?" Arielle replied with a very unconvincing answer.
