Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 418: Chapel Preparations
In the chapel, together with Aimee, Arielle made sure all the preparations had gone according to plan. Arielle just checked and took a look at it. The person who was responsible for the decorations said if there was anything the princess wanted to change or add, then he would do it right away. However, seeing that everything had gone according to plan, Arielle just shook her head.
"Everything is beautiful," Arielle replied.
The man was asked Arielle’s permission to check the work of his workers, who were hanging white cloth from the top of the chandeliers to the pillars of the chapel.
Arielle watched everything carefully. She wanted Tania to see this, but Tania was not strong enough to travel far so Arielle couldn’t take her. Aimee stood behind Arielle, gazing at all the decorations that were being put up.
"I can’t wait to see the final result," said Aimee, to which Arielle answered with a nod of her head. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Sometimes, it seemed nice to have someone to love. Aimee also wanted to know what it felt like to fall in love with someone properly. However, the incident in her past made Aimee doubt men. She knew that not all the men had the impudent attitude like Lazarus. She also had good male friends at the academy, but still... her dislike of men was still there.
Maybe later... After Lazarus really remembered all his mistakes in the past and apologize properly, Aimee would open her heart again to men, and she would find a partner that fitted her character. Aimee shook her head quickly to brush off her wandering mind. She was a little carried away when she imagined a marriage.
Aimee was not a girl who was in a hurry to get married. Even if at the age of forty she had not found a suitable partner, then Aimee would choose to not get married. Even if she had only met her partner at the age of seventy, Aimee was fine.
"What are you thinking about?" Arielle asked while looking at Aimee, who kept shaking her head as if trying to brush something off her head.
Suddenly, Arielle smiled and held Aimee’s hand. "Do you also have any intention of getting married? Do you have a guy you like?" she asked enthusiastically.
The surprised Aimee shook her head and waved her hand frantically. Her face was red from blushing.
"W-what? Of course not, Your Highness! What did you say!? Gosh... you just make my face hot..." said Aimee, who was fanning her face with her hand.
"I thought you were thinking about marriage too," replied Arielle, making Aimee’s face hotter.
"Certainly not! Who exactly is this guy I could marry around here? Nothing fits," Aimee replied as she turned around to hide her red face.
That was right... Aimee spent her time mostly with her. She rarely met men because the girl was with her too often. Arielle tried to think of a man who might be suitable for Aimee. A man who could be firm and patient. Aimee was a stubborn girl. If she met with a stubborn man, it would be difficult in the future.
Maybe William?
"What about William?" Arielle asked.
"Ewww... gross no. William is a good man, but he’s not much different from Lazarus."
"Um... Lucas?"
"I like Lucas. He is a good man, but he is too good. I will feel sorry for him because he will always be oppressed by me," Aimee replied, laughing while imagining Lucas, who kept apologizing if he made a mistake. Arielle also imagined the same thing, so she laughed too.
"Then... Priest Elis? Priest Elis is still young, right?" asked Arielle, making Aimee dumbfounded.
"Hah? Priest Elis?" Aimee laughed out loud, making Arielle confused. Priest Elis was a good person. Arielle liked him. She wasn’t sure she could tell the difference between a handsome man and not, but for her, Priest Elis was quite handsome.
"Princess... To be honest, I’m not one to be diligent in worshipping the Moon Goddess. And marrying someone who is as holy as him will make me feel like the most sinful person ever," replied Aimee honestly.
"Ah, so it is like that. Then, I have no more names... other than Lazarus left."
Aimee, who was laughing out loud, suddenly fell silent, trying to stop her laughter.
"I knew you wouldn’t like it," Arielle said before Aimee could say her refusal.
"Yes. I did plan to forgive him, but to marry him... I think marrying Priest Elis doesn’t sound so bad," replied Aimee jokingly, making Arielle chuckle too.
After their light conversation, Arielle took Aimee to the backyard. Now, the backyard was cleared from the snow. The ground was still white, but there wasn’t a pile of snow as high as the last time Arielle visited.
Aimee took out two white roses, which she bought from a florist’s daughter she met while passing through the village. She gave them to the princess. Arielle also put a white rose each on the grave of the previous queen and Ronan’s sister.
Arielle sat between the two graves, then clasped her hands to pray.
She had never seen them. Ronan also hardly talked about his family apart from the night of the tragedy. After she finished paying her respects, Arielle stood up and put her coat back on. They would return to the palace again.
Arielle stopped when she felt she saw a black silhouette moving quickly behind the pine trees in the backyard. Arielle squinted her eyes to look around the place. Her heart pounded at the sight of a pair of red eyes hiding behind one of the trees.
Arielle was about to scream when the animal came out of its hiding. However, Arielle breathed a sigh of relief at seeing a rabbit three times as big as her rabbit in the palace. The red eyes blinked, then jumped back and forth across the backyard.
"Phew... I thought it was something dangerous..." said Arielle, feeling so relieved.
"Your Highness?" Aimee’s call made Arielle move her feet again.
Kael and Lazarus stood guard by the door.
"Shall we go back now?" asked Lazarus.
"Yes," Arielle replied.
