Chapter 427: The Night Changes

Aimee took one step forward, making Lazarus let out a sigh of relief. He stepped aside to give Aimee a way in, and Aimee closed the door to Lazarus’ room so no one could see her talking in the man’s room.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"I want you to forget what I said earlier. Just pretend you didn’t hear anything," Aimee said.

Lazarus shook his head. "I don’t want to."

"You want to get another hit?" Aimee threatened him, while showing her fist in front of Lazarus’ face.

Lazarus shook his head again.

"I don’t want that either," he replied simply.

Aimee took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly to remain composed and not be provoked by her emotions.

"Lazarus, I didn’t mean it."

"You mean it. Otherwise, you won’t kiss me," Lazarus replied, making Aimee twitch because the man mentioned their kiss earlier.

"Okay, okay, okay, I get it. We kissed earlier, but can you just pretend it didn’t happen too? I mean, you’ve kissed a lot of women, haven’t you? Pretend my kiss was just a breeze of wind in the summer and find another woman out there to erase the trace of my kisses."

"I don’t want to. I’ll keep the kiss you gave me."

"Lazarus, come on... We’re both adults, aren’t we? That kiss shouldn’t be a big deal. We can share a kiss with whoever we like, right?"

"I like you," Lazarus replied, making Aimee’s string of words stop for a moment.

The girl closed her mouth tightly while looking at Lazarus. She tried to find a lie in the man’s eyes. Aimee also hoped that Lazarus would laugh, so she could assume that the man was joking. However, what he wanted didn’t come. Lazarus seemed to mean what he just said.

"As a sister, of course, right?" Aimee asked to make sure that there would be no misunderstanding between them later.

"As a woman," Lazarus replied, making Aimee’s heart beat faster.

It couldn’t be this fast. Lazarus couldn’t possibly like her in one day. This was not what Aimee had imagined. Aimee still liked Lazarus, but she planned to bury her feelings with a lot of hatred.

Lazarus took one step closer to Aimee, but the girl chose to back away.

"If I were not as thin as I was now, you wouldn’t like me, would you? You only... look at me because of my physique," Aimee said bitterly.

"I’ve always liked you. Even when you were fat ten years ago, I liked you."

"But, you rejected my feelings!"

"Are you crazy!? I could be beheaded if I date an eight-year-old child!" protest Lazarus, which made Aimee pause for a moment. "I know I was wrong to reject you in public by humiliating you, but I didn’t mean it that way. I just like teasing you. I used to like you as a sister. Nothing more," Lazarus continued.

Lazarus drew closer and Aimee couldn’t back away any further. Her back had touched the door and Lazarus’ toes had touched her toes. Aimee looked down, as did Lazarus. The distance between them was so close that both of them could feel each other’s bodies as they breathed.

"But, after we met again at the sandwich stall, I liked you as a new person." Lazarus took Aimee’s hand to rest on his chest. "My heart is beating really fast, Aimee. And I am jealous of your closeness with your old friend, Dylan. I’d like to be in Dylan’s shoes, to be able to share my story with you too."

"You’re going back to the sea, right? So this will only be in vain," Aimee said pessimistically.

"I might change my mind if you give me a chance."

Lazarus slowly put his hand on Aimee’s waist and bent down his body to whisper. Their bodies were already pressed together because the man had purposely erased the distance between them.

"I thought about settling down, but so far I haven’t found the right reason. Can you help me be the reason that I can stay in the North?"

"Lazarus...."

Aimee didn’t like this. Her heart was beating so fast at their closeness. Aimee was not a naive girl who was easily swayed by a man’s sweet words. However, Lazarus sounded so serious about what he just said.

Maybe she should try to give Lazarus a chance?

"Lazarus, I am walking on a thin rope. If you mess up just once, maybe I’ll never forgive you this time."

"Aimee..."

Aimee put her index finger in front of Lazarus’ lips. "And I am seriously telling you that this is your last chance. I will not look at you again, even when you are buried underground, I will never see you if you make a fatal mistake again," Aimee threatened him and Lazarus nodded. "I’m serious, Lazarus."

"And so am I, Aimee," Lazarus replied, then erased their distance completely.

The two of them kissed roughly. Licking, sucking, biting each other’s lips and trying to dominate each other. Aimee’s hands moved to unbutton Lazarus’ shirt, as well as Lazarus, who was very skilful at taking off Aimee’s corset strap which was behind the girl’s back.

Wasn’t it going too fast? Aimee shook her head and be damned with it.

"Aimee, you know what we are going to do with this, right?" Lazarus asked in between their kisses.

Aimee touched the door of Lazarus’ room and locked it, so no one would disturb them tonight. After hearing the door locked, she pushed Lazarus down on the bed, and Aimee was on top of him.

"You think I’m a naïve child?" Aimee asked as she took off her dress, making Lazarus swallow his saliva with difficulty.

His eyebrows arched to see Aimee’s body in front of him. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Don’t blame me if you can’t walk tomorrow morning."

"Shut up!" Aimee exclaimed and kissed Lazarus’ lips again. This time her hands moved quickly to untie the man’s belt and unzip Lazarus’ pants.

Aimee remembered something. She pulled her face away from Lazarus, who was panting hard. Lazarus opened his eyes, wondering why Aimee stopped kissing him.

"What is it?"

"I’m going to turn off the lights for a bit."

Lazarus shook his head. He grabbed Aimee’s hand and pulled it tightly so that the girl came back closer.

"Leave it like this. I want to see you completely," Lazarus replied while stroking Aimee’s body gently.

That night, Lazarus’ room became louder than usual. No one could hear it from outside. Only the walls of the room witnessed the moans, groans, and screams of pleasure from Aimee and Lazarus until the day changed and morning came.
