Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 436: Ronan’s Words That Make Arielle Sad
"Arielle, after we get married, that means we’ll always be together, right?" Ronan asked.
Arielle’s smile was so soothing.
"Of course," she replied. Arielle had studied their sacred vows, and she already knew the responsibility she would bear after saying the sacred vows.
"I love you so much. I hope that when we get older, I will die first because I can’t imagine myself living without you."
Arielle’s smile instantly faded. "Ronan... you can’t talk like that."
Ronan hugged Arielle’s body tightly. "But I mean it, Arielle. I really can’t imagine life without you right now. You’re like the air to me."
Arielle let go of Ronan’s embrace then wore her night dress properly. She sat next to the man.
"Then, what about me?" For some reason, Arielle became very sad right now because of Ronan’s words earlier. She rubbed her eyes so as not to cry, but after imagining what the man had said, it was really painful. Her heart ached so much.
"Arielle..."
"Then, what about me, Ronan?" Arielle asked again. "I also love you so much. You are the reason I am at this point now. Without you, I might still be in the North without being seen by anyone. Without you, I might have married Duke Pellington. Without you, I might have ended my life long ago because of my stifling old life. What you said earlier was so selfish... I don’t like hearing that."
Ronan, who panicked, stood up, then brought Arielle to sit on his lap. He felt guilty. He really had no intention of making Arielle cry like this. What Ronan wanted to say was how much he loved the girl, and he couldn’t live without Arielle.
"I don’t want to live without you either. I don’t want to be left alone," Arielle said, crying.
"Shh... shh... shh... I’m sorry, sweetheart. I didn’t mean it like that..."
Arielle was crying in Ronan’s arms, and Ronan could only hug Arielle tightly, at a loss for words because of his stupidity.
Ronan waited for a while until Arielle stopped crying. When he felt that the girl had calmed down, Ronan cupped Arielle’s face with both hands.
"Arielle, I’m really sorry for what I had said earlier. I didn’t mean to make you sad at all. I am so sorry. I was wrong."
Arielle nodded, still feeling sad. Ronan helped her to wipe the tears on Arielle’s face.
"You forgive me, right?" Ronan asked again.
"Don’t say something like that again."
"Yeah, I promise not to say anything weird again. Let’s live together forever."
Arielle felt better now. She wrapped her arms around Ronan’s neck, making Ronan sigh in relief. He stroked Arielle’s back gently. His eyes were glued to Arielle’s ears, which had small holes for earrings now.
A few days ago, Aimee came to ask permission to pierce Arielle’s ears because Arielle would never be able to use earrings if she didn’t have piercings. And Ronan gave his permission for the doctor to pierce Arielle’s ear. However, since then, Ronan had never seen Arielle wearing earrings.
"Arielle, did you wear the jewelry I sent through William earlier?"
"The jewels I brought to the North?"
"You still remember it?"
"Of course. I always felt guilty when you kept buying me new jewelry, even though I lost the first jewelry you bought for me."
Arielle lost the jewelry set with that ruby gem long ago. Arielle thought that the jewels had disappeared along with the ruins of the Southern Palace. That was why Arielle was always hesitant to wear the new jewelry that Ronan bought for her because she was afraid that she would lose it again like the first one. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"But, how can it be in you?" Arielle asked.
Ronan smiled at seeing Arielle, who was able to ask him again without feeling sad. It looked like the change of topic managed to make the girl forget her sadness.
"William found it for me. The man said it was worn by one of your sisters, and William asked for it back, then it was returned to you. I was hesitant to return it directly to you. I thought you didn’t really like jewelry because you didn’t wear every piece of jewelry I gave you. That’s why I kept the jewelry until you got used to wearing other jewelry."
"You are wrong!" cried Arielle, making Ronan laugh. Ariel’s face immediately turned red when she realized that she had just screamed at Ronan. She instantly cleared her throat to get his voice back. "I mean... I was hesitant to wear the jewelry you gave me because I was afraid to lose it again."
"Ah, so this is just a misunderstanding?" Ronan asked.
Arielle thought for a moment. "It seems so," she replied.
Ronan let out a long sigh. He didn’t like this. This may sound like a trivial thing, but the miscommunication between him and Arielle proved that they didn’t communicate well.
Lazarus, Kael, and William already knew very well that Ronan hated conflict because of miscommunication. Ronan made a note to himself to spend more time alone with Arielle so that trivial miscommunications like this wouldn’t happen again.

After that night, what Ronan hoped for was getting harder and harder to happen. It had been two days since he had trouble meeting Arielle because of his busy schedule. He also left the palace several times to check on some places so that when Arielle wanted to visit him, he was always outside.
And now their wedding day was only three days left. According to the regulations, he was forbidden to meet Arielle until the wedding day came. Tonight was the last night he could meet Arielle, but he was outside the palace again.
He saw many lights hanging above him. The square had been getting more and more crowded these few days because the day of the royal wedding was just around the corner. The enthusiasm of the citizens looked very high to welcome Arielle as their future queen.
Ronan wanted to forget about his job and bring Arielle here. The girl would definitely be happy. He looked at his pocket watch. It was not too late at night. If Ronan left his current job and returned to the palace, there would be little time before Aimee and Tania forced him to sleep.
"William, I’ve seen one of the bodies. You can make the report for me, right? I’m waiting for the forensic results tomorrow morning on my desk."
