Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 437: City Of Lights
William, who was talking to a priest who had examined the umpteenth hypothermia victim this week, looked at Ronan in disbelief. The man just walked away after ordering him like that. Lazarus, who also stood beside William, patted William on the shoulder to give his friend a boost of strength.
"This is the last night for Ronan to meet Princess Arielle until his wedding day. So, of course, he wants to spend more time with his fiancé than work."
William looked at Lazarus piercingly. "Who are you?" William asked in a sharp tone, making Lazarus frown.
"What do you mean? I’m Lazarus, you fool. Have you lost your memory or what?"
"No-no... the Lazarus I know wouldn’t have such mature thoughts. The real Lazarus should be complaining about going back to the palace as well."
Lazarus frowned. "Maybe because I want to change to be a more mature man?" he asked, making William frown in disbelief.
"Did Ronan and Aimee’s punches make your brain shift?’
William’s question just ignited the emotional fire of Lazarus, who was trying to be patient in order to become a more mature man.
"Huh!? What did you say? I’m trying my best right now, William! Look at my efforts. Even if it looks disgusting, get used to the new Lazarus. Whatever you say, I won’t be provoked again. I’m an adult now," Lazarus said as he folded his arms and placed them behind his head.
William glanced at Lazarus scornfully. "No adult admits to being an adult," he mumbled. Lazarus could only look at William, who was envious of his actions. "Nye nye nye, it’s up to you."
William nodded. The last one was Lazarus. He also spoke again with the priest, who was showing the results of their investigation.
"Well, something weird happened in the North lately," William muttered as he read the report of the investigation.

Ronan arrived in front of the Whitethorn Palace. He forbade his guards to return his horse to the stable. He needed to meet Arielle right now. The man ran quickly to Arielle’s room, making some of the guards who were guarding there surprised and confused.
He checked Arielle’s room first, but found no one there. Then, Ronan went to the library and found Arielle playing with her bunny.
"Ronan? What’s wrong?" Arielle asked. She then stood up to approach the man who was slightly out of breath.
"You want to sleep already?" Instead of answering her, he asked.
This was their meeting after the night where Ronan massaged Arielle’s body. Ronan wanted to see Arielle once more before he was forbidden to see the girl until their wedding day.
"Not yet, maybe soon after dinner with Aimee and Tania."
"Perfect. Come with me."
Ronan took Arielle’s hand and quickly grabbed a warm coat for the girl to wear. The two of them cross paths with Aimee and Tania who bring dinner for the princess.
"Your Majesty, where do you want to take Princess Arielle?" Aimee asked.
"Dinner," Ronan said quickly.
Arielle just waved her hand at Aimee and Tania then turned around to follow Ronan’s fast pace who kept pulling her. She didn’t know where they were going to have dinner, but she trusted Ronan.
The man helped Arielle to get on the horse then followed her behind, and they left the palace again.
"Ronan, where are we going?" Arielle asked in confusion.
"I will take you to the town square. You’ll like it," the man replied enthusiastically.
They arrived at the town square. Arielle looked up to see the hustle and bustle of the Capital at night. The tiny lights filled the ceiling hung between each building, providing a very bright light that waved aside the darkness. Just like a city of lights.
"Is there a festival going on?" Arielle asked in awe.
"Not a festival. They are celebrating our wedding which will be hell in less than three days."
Arielle’s face reddened. Her eyes gleamed with admiration. She saw everyone’s face was full of happiness, walking around enjoying the night. Her heart was beating very fast. It was the first time someone celebrated something related to her.
Even though this was not a festival, seeing many happy people celebrating her happy day warmed Arielle’s heart. Her heart was filled with love that night.
Ronan helped tighten Arielle’s coat. "But sweetheart, it’s very likely that the people here already recognize you, so it’s best if you keep your hood down, got it? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable later."
Arielle nodded in understanding. Ronan offered his hand and Arielle took it. She held the man’s hand tightly while passing through the streets of the city square which were crowded with people selling various things. Starting from food, accessories, flowers, to toys. This was no doubt a festival.
"Ronan, look! It’s a clown!!!" Arielle exclaimed excitedly while pointing to a clown playing with three small balls. He was juggling the balls! Behind the clown was a magician pulling a dove from under his hat.
"You want to take a closer look?" asked Ronan who smiled as he saw Arielle swinging her arms like a child.
"Can I?" Arielle asked with sparkling eyes, making Ronan hold his heart which was beating so fast.
"Sure." The answer made the girl exclaim with joy. Arielle quickly grabbed Ronan’s hand, dragging him among the crowd.
Ronan was amazed to see Arielle’s small body trying to slip between the large bodies of other men. It reminded him of Northendell’s mid-year festival. That very day Arielle pulled his hand like this while slipping among the sea of people.
Time was certainly a mystery that would never be solved. Who would have thought that one day Ronan would do this again with Arielle with a different status?
"Ronan, look!" Arielle exclaimed in a whisper. Maybe the girl was concerned about him and she didn’t want anyone to know it was them, like Ronan had said earlier.
Ronan only took a glance at the action of a clown eating a fireball or a magician removing a toy rose from his wand. He looked down again to see Arielle’s amazed expression.
