Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 445: No Need For The Drama
After taking the solemn vows in the St. John’s Chapel, Ronan and Arielle ride in a roofless bridal carriage drawn by four of the finest white horses with magnificent manes.
Everyone who stand by the street cheered to greet the royal couple after they leave the chapel. There was no side of the road that they passed without being surrounded by large numbers of people.
Kael led the group on his horse in front of the carriage that Ronan and Arielle rode. Behind them was the carriage that Aimee, Tania, and Sasha rode. It was only then that William and Lazarus rode their horses as bodyguards and dozens of knights followed them behind.
Arielle and Ronan sat together in the seat. The girl was not wearing her coat so as not to cover the wedding dress, but the dress was not used for outdoor activities, so she held her own hand to search for warmth.
Ronan who saw that, held Arielle’s hand gently.
"Are you cold?" he asked in a whisper.
Arielle nodded, and the man raised Arielle’s hand for a kiss.
"We will soon arrive at the palace, and I will call the priest to warm you."
"Thank you."
It was still noon, so they would have a meal together with their guests. In the capital, people were increasingly crowding the streets that would be passed by the newlyweds.
Arielle raised her hand to greet the people there. Even though she didn’t recognize their names, Arielle still knew one or two of their faces. She also received flowers from one of the children she had paid for their food in the past.
Arielle also greeted the woman who owned the restaurant where she sang and danced. She also saw the girl who sold the red roses a few days ago. If she was not mistaken, the young girl’s name was Sue? Arielle couldn’t really hear the name the young girl gave at that time.
When Arielle wanted to receive the rose again, she suddenly saw a familiar figure. She looked back as the carriage continued to move forward.
"Alexis?" she muttered. She blinked her eyes e few time to get a more clearer visions but she didn’t find that man again.
"What’s wrong, my wife?" Ronan asked, making Arielle sit back facing the front.
"Ah, nothing-nothing.... I just thought i saw someone familiar," said Arielle, making Ronan smile.
"Who?"
"No one," she said. Arielle guess she was just hallucinating. Archie said himself that no one survive that night. Maybe she was tired.
"Are you tired? We haven’t done anything yet," Ronan replied, making the girl blush.
"Ronan, we’re still on the road..."
"Huh? What do you mean we still on the road? I mean we haven’t received any congratulations as husband and wife yet. Why are you shy? You thought of something?"
"Ronan..."
Arielle covered her face with the bouquet of flowers she was holding, making the man chuckle softly. It was a very long journey. Ronan was eager to take one of the horses in the front to kidnap his own wife.
After they arrived at the palace, Lucas had prepared a lot of food for them. Not only the wedding witnesses were invited to eat together, but all the apprentice priests, servants, maids, and several palace guards were invited to eat together in the main hall of the Blackthorn Palace.
Ronan and Arielle sat at the main table with Archie, William, Kael, Lazarus, Sasha, Aimee, Tania, Lucas, and Priest Elis. Priest Louise had returned to his residence considering that the man was old, so he couldn’t participate in the agenda in the palace. He only conveyed his happiness through his son, Priest Elis.
During the dinner, Ronan never once let go of Arielle’s hand, making it a bit difficult for the girl to eat her dinner. When Arielle asked him to let go of her hand for a moment, Ronan just laughed, feeling happy because they were now a husband and wife.
"Your Highness, it’s time for you to return to your room to rest," Aimee whispered to Arielle.
Ronan who heard it raised one of his eyebrows. Was it time to enjoy their wedding night?
Arielle turned to Ronan. "I’ll be waiting for you in the room," the girl whispered, making Ronan stand up for a moment.
However, when Ronan was about to go after Arielle, William stopped Ronan because he wanted to congratulate his best friend. Ronan also had to be detained longer because William’s speech to the guards in the hall was very long.
Aimee escorted Arielle to the room she would share with Ronan. Arielle’s room would always be in the Whitethorn Palace. This was just a room at night if the couple wanted to sleep together.
Aimee ordered several maids to clean the princess’s body immediately and give her the most fragrant perfume. After helping Arielle get ready for her wedding night, Aimee left the room to tell Ronan that Arielle was ready in their room.
However, when Aimee wanted to enter the hall, Lazarus was already waiting for her at the door with his arms folded while leaning against the door.
"What is it?" Aimee didn’t want to make small talk because she had to call Ronan right away because Arielle was waiting for the man.
"I missed you," said Lazarus, making Aimee take a deep breath.
"Lazarus, if you use your cheap ways to get me back into your bed, throw away your hope. Yesterday was just a one-night stand."
"Aimee, why?" Lazarus asked with a pitiful face.
"Lazarus, before you met me, I’m sure you’re very familiar with a one-night stand. So why did you have to do it with me again? You can find other women out there if your hormones are out of control."
"How many times do I have to tell you that I like you, Aimee? And you like me too, right?"
"Then, what if we like each other? It won’t make you commit to me either... I don’t think about it too much either, so you don’t have to complicate our relationship."
"Kiss me and say that again."
"Huh?"
Aimee didn’t understand what Lazarus meant, but the man suddenly came closer and closed the distance between them. Aimee widened her eyes because they were kissing in front of the hall door where anyone could come out and see them.
Aimee wanted to refuse, but Lazarus hugged her so tightly. It made Aimee remember about the passion night in the man’s room once again, and she was so weak to Lazarus’ touch. She couldn’t think anymore and started kissing Lazarus back.
"Are you sure you don’t want to spend time together with— us again?" William’s question hung in the air.
Ronan, William, and Kael stopped walking at the sight in front of them.
"Fucking hell...."
William rushed to stop Kael who wanted to pounce on Lazarus. "Ronan, help me restrain Kael!" William exclaimed.
Ronan walked leisurely, looking at Lazarus and Aimee who were frozen in place, then passed them, like nothing happened. He didn’t need drama on his wedding day, especially on his first night with Arielle. He needed his wife. Ronan then left the palace hall, which was suddenly turned into chaos by Kael and Lazarus’ fight.
"Ronan! Help me!"
He ignored the screams and shouts of the knights that filled his ears because he had been waiting for this night for a long time.
"Arielle, you have to get ready because I won’t be able to control myself," he muttered.
