Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 444: The Vow
Tania began to shed tears with trembling lips because she saw the back of a girl she had cared for since a baby now standing majestically beside a man she loved.
A baby who didn’t know what her mother looked like. The one who cried every night because of hunger, yet grew up into a cheerful girl. Playing with the other maids in the back palace and wandering around the backyard with her laughter.
Arielle then grew into a more quiet teenager. After what happened to her on the night of Princess Andrea’s birthday, Arielle became quiet and afraid of other people. Tania had a hard time getting Arielle back out to play, but little by little the girl opened up again.
Since then, Arielle chose her friend wisely. She was no longer chasing her siblings to play. She preferred to spend time with Tania. Tania wiped her tears with a handkerchief when she remembered about that.
Aimee suddenly hugged her shoulder, making the woman quickly wipe away the remaining tears on her cheeks. She was very happy to see Arielle now.
What Tania felt was not much different from what Archie was feeling right now. He didn’t have many good memories with Arielle. What he did during his childhood would never be forgiven even though it seemed that Arielle preferred to bury those terrible memories for the sake of their relationship. However, for Archie that guilt would always haunt him for the rest of his life.
Even looking at the back of the sister he never acknowledged before was very painful. Because he knew that he was not worthy to walk Arielle down the aisle of the chapel earlier, but he didn’t want to lie. Even though he had sinned greatly against Arielle, he was very happy to have this opportunity....
Sasha refrained from clapping his hands. This was the second marriage he had seen. The first was the wedding of his parents, which also only invited a few people, but the marriage of his parents had to be a little disturbed by Crimson’s cries. Besides, his parents’ marriage did not have a choir or orchestra like the king’ and the princess’ wedding.
He turned left and right to see all the other happy faces. He was also very happy. Sasha actually didn’t really understand the concept of marriage, but he just felt happy when everyone gathered together and saw the princess smiling so beautifully like that.
He was very grateful that he had been found by someone like Princess Arielle. He couldn’t imagine if he was found by the nanny at his orphanage. Maybe they would kick Sasha away from their property again.
Sasha also felt grateful that Princess Arielle allowed him to live with them in the palace until he met his parents. Honestly, if given a choice, he would still like to stay and spend more time with the princess, but he had made a promise to become a great knight in the future to protect the princess from any threat and danger.
William looked proudly at his best friend’s back. He knew that before meeting Princess Arielle, the man had absolutely no intention of getting married, not even dating a woman. Even though in their teens they were quite wild, being a king and Priest Louise’s upbringing made the man more concerned with royal affairs than a relationship.
William, who was always with Ronan, could see every change in the man’s attitude since Ronan met Arielle. The man still liked to get mad, but William knew how to control Ronan’s emotions, namely by mentioning that Princess Arielle didn’t like someone who got mad easily, and Ronan would stop screaming right away.
William always complained, but deep down he was happy because he could help Ronan. He knew that Ronan would not be able to negotiate with a cool head, so that was where William was... being the king’s right-hand man.
Kael was still wearing his expressionless face. He watched Ronan and Arielle alternately with a warm feeling. He couldn’t express his feelings, but he was very happy to see the king had found his soul mate. Now, Kael didn’t have to worry about Ronan anymore because he was sure that Princess Arielle would love the man well.
Kael was one of the witnesses of what happened on the night of the tragedy. He saw how lonely his friend was. Even though William, Lazarus, and he were always with Ronan, Kael could see that Ronan still felt lonely. His lips lifted slightly. Kael who rarely smiled also smiled seeing how the man head over heels to the princess.
Lazarus shuddered, feeling that the marriage declaration by Priest Louise was touching. He glanced at the seat beside him, where Aimee was standing next to Tania and Sasha. He looked back at the bride and groom in front of the altar and imagined himself and Aimee in the same place.
"That would be very happy," he mumbled.
Instantly, Lazarus covered his mouth, realizing something. He never thought about marriage at all before, but.... Why did he imagine himself with Aimee in front of the altar when listening to a priest’s declaration? Getting married was a difficult decision, and he was quite amazed to see Ronan being so dedicated to this.
But him? If he got married, that meant he had to say goodbye to his sea life, right? Lazarus turned his head back to Aimee. However, if it was Aimee, maybe Lazarus should start considering it.
Aimee felt her left ear itch. It felt like someone was looking at her. She turned to her left and saw Lazarus who was looking at her. Then, she turned her head again, calming Tania who was crying heartily. She was also touched. She had only worked for a few months, but Princess Arielle accepted her with open arms, making Aimee feel very comfortable staying in the palace.
She really prayed for the happiness of both of them because they were destined to be together. Everyone would also agree, thus they replied, "We will" with full confidence.
Arielle and Ronan’s wedding service was still continuing. Now, Priest Louise returned to the bride and groom for their vows.
"Ronan and Arielle, I now invite you to join hands and make your vow, before everyone."
Ronan and Arielle faced each other. Their eyes met with love, and Ronan started uttering his vows.
"I, Ronan, take you, Arielle, to be my wife, to have and to hold you from this day forward, for better, for worse, for riches, for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part. In front of everyone I make this vow"
Priest Louise gave Arielle a chance to take her vow.
"I, Arielle, take you, Ronan, to be my husband, to have and to hold you from this day forward, for better, for worse, for riches, for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part. In front of everyone I make this vow."
The two let go of each other’s hands. Namina, an apprentice priest, arrived with a ring placed in front of the altar for Priest Louise to carry and gave it to the groom and bride.
First, Ronan took the ring and then placed it on Arielle’s fourth fingers in her left hand. Ronan stroked the ring that Arielle had been wearing for a moment, then let go of Arielle’s hand. Next, Arielle took the ring to wear on the same finger of Ronan’s hand. Ronan grabbed Arielle’s hand as soon as the girl put the ring on his finger.
Priest Louise allowed the two of them to hold each other’s hands. He also placed his right hand on both of Ronan’s and Arielle’s joined hands.
"In the presence of the Moon Goddess, and in the presence of this congregation, Ronan and Arielle have given their consent and made vows to each other’s marriage. They have declared their marriage by joining hands and by giving and receiving the rings. Therefore, I declare that they are husband and wife."
Priest Louise took his hand from Ronan, and Arielle’s still holding hands. He smiled warmly at the two of them who were looking at each other with full of love. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Now you may kiss the bride," said Priest Louise with a soothing voice.
Ronan lifted Arielle’s veil and smiled even wider. He lifted his mask slightly and pressed his lips to Arielle’s for a soft kiss.
