Arielle followed Otis’ instructions. After feeling a soft curtain fall from her eyes, she nodded her head.

"Now put the name of your favorite fruit in your head and Luffy will guess it."

Arielle nodded in understanding. Luffy closed his eyes, then opened his head. He looked at Arielle right in the eye. "Frostberry," he replied.

Arielle gasped, making Otis laugh.

"Try again, Arielle. You have to master that first. We’re just going to the next stage."

Arielle nodded and started imagining a name, and Luffy easily guessed the name she had in mind. The two of them continued to practice until without them both knowing a huge red dragon came.

"Otis!" called Xieno with a booming voice, making Arielle and Luffy stop the training. Luffy immediately covered his head so that Xieno could not read his mind, which was full of fear of the man.

"Yes, Xieno?"

"Go back to the palace. I need my lunch," said Xieno who then flew back into the sky.

Otis laughed heartily, then stood up slowly.

"Sorry, Arielle. I have to prepare lunch for Xieno first. You should practice hard. Tonight, I will bring you dinner. Don’t stop until you get the hang of it!" Otis ordered.

Arielle wanted to forbid Otis after remembering what Xieno did to that man earlier. However, seeing Otis walk back without any coercion felt like everything would be fine.

"Does Maxieno always act like that? Burning his servant, then asking him to make lunch without apologizing?" Arielle asked Luffy.

Luffy, as a big fan of Xieno, shook his head in disapproval. "Don’t blame Lord Xieno, Arielle. It was Otis’ job. The man had been helped by Xieno since he was a baby. Then, it’s only natural that he serves the dragon clan that has helped him."

Arielle forgot that Luffy was also from the dragon clan, so of course even though Luffy was a good young dragon, he still had high self-esteem like the other dragons.

Arielle didn’t want to argue with Luffy. She needed Luffy as her training partner this afternoon.

"You’re not hungry? I still have some chicken inside. We can rest before we continue the training again."

"I’m hungry, Arielle. Bring the chicken here, I’ll just eat it. You only eat fruit. It is okay, right?" asked Luffy.

Arielle stroked the head of the very honest young dragon. She missed Sasha so much. Maybe if Sasha met Luffy, they could become close friends. Well, Arielle couldn’t wait to introduce the two of them later.

"Of course. I’ll bring it for you. But please promise to teach me how to close my mind patiently," Arielle replied, to which Luffy answered with a quick nod of his head.

Arielle and Luffy enjoyed their lunch together. Arielle with the apples and Luffy with the remaining chicken that she didn’t have time to cook last night. After finishing eating, they practiced again.

Arielle diligently practiced covering her thoughts. In between her concentration, sometimes she could hear Ronan’s voice who was cursing softly. She didn’t know what the man was doing, but Arielle kept trying to ignore the voices.

Until the night when Arielle’s head was full, and her stomach was hungry again, she continued to exert her energy to concentrate while imagining the soft curtains. Now Luffy was ready to guess what Arielle was thinking. There were a total of two hundred and thirty-seven attempts that failed today.

"Trial two hundred and thirty-eight, guess what I’m thinking," said Arielle.

(I’m hungry... I’m hungry... I’m hungry... I’m hungry...)

Luffy frowned. Arielle muttered very long while looking straight into the young dragon’s eyes. When Luffy squinted his eyes, Arielle felt something inside her head being tapped and then turning into claws from the outside.

"I can’t guess. I tried to get into it, but your mind was able to resist me."

Arielle stood up quickly while clapping her hands. "Is that true?!" she asked happily.

"Yes! I am not lying!" Luffy replied.

POOF!

As soon as Luffy turned into a human child with his full clothes on, there were two missing teeth on the side when the boy laughed. "Luffy! Thank you very much! You helped me today! You are the best teacher!" Arielle said, making Luffy blush.

Just as the two were celebrating Arielle’s success, Otis returned with a basket of food.

"Wow... you two look happy? Did Arielle manage to do it?"

"Yes, Lord Otis! I managed to do it!" Arielle replied, still feeling happy.

Luffy also nodded. "Even when I tried to pry her head off, Arielle’s defensive wall was thick enough that I couldn’t peek into her head!" he added, making Otis laugh seeing the two young people who looked very happy.

"You two have worked hard today. I brought some leftovers. Is it okay if these are leftovers?"

Arielle smiled, then accepted the basket gratefully.

"I will accept whatever you give. Even the leftovers still look very delicious," Arielle said then gave Luffy a full piece of boiled chicken while she only ate one grilled fish with potatoes.

Arielle offered to light a bonfire using her palm, but Otis advised the girl to get some rest. After finishing their dinner, Otis and Luffy left Arielle’s hut, and she returned alone that night.

She washed her face near the lake, and Arielle went back to her hut, preparing to rest. She closed her eyes and imagined a curtain, then she slowly opened it.

(Ronan) Arielle called softly.

(Wife, I’ve been waiting for your call. I’m worried because I can’t hear anything in the last few hours) The man replied.

Arielle chuckled. (I just finished training and am going to rest. What are you doing?)

She imagined Ronan’s face who was breathing heavily now. A subtle smile was etched on her lips because it hadn’t been a day, but it felt like she already missed him again.

(Am I bothering you at a busy time?) Arielle asked because Ronan didn’t answer her.

(There’s no busy time when it comes to you, Arielle. I’m just working on some paperwork and going back to my room to rest.)

(I’m afraid to disturb you...)

The sound of the man’s laughter made Arielle feel more relieved now. (You want me to sing a lullaby to put you to sleep?) Ronan asked in a teasing tone.

(Can you? I remember singing the lullaby.)

(Is that so?)

(Hm..hm...)

There was silence between the two now.

(You want to tell me about your practice today?) Ronan asked, making Arielle nod her head.
