Chapter 400: Travel and Travel Beyond Chapter Eleven: Heather

Soka felt a warm sensation on her face, with occasional shadows flying overhead, a slight breeze making her feel ticklish.

Upon opening her eyes, the little angel found herself lying on Zilvra’s lap, a few strands of silver hair swaying in front of her nose. In a daze, she vaguely remembered having gone through a very arduous battle, countless angels fighting against a horde of black enemies, and she had used up all her strength.

But in the next moment, this originally vague memory vanished without a trace. Soka forgot why she was lying on Zilvra’s lap, was it because she had slept too long, or perhaps she had been very ill? Were all past events merely dreams?

Several beautiful clouds drifted past in the sky, and a flock of birds chirped as they flew by. Soka tilted her head, but couldn’t find that beautiful shell-shaped ship. Now, on a small boat, she was floating gently with Lynch and Zilvra along with the slight waves.

"Where is this? What time is it now?" Soka asked softly. As soon as she spoke, her throat felt incredibly dry, and a sense of thirst followed.

"You finally woke up, little one." Lynch’s voice echoed in the angel’s ears: "This is the river leading to Salantir, named Erutalon, the God-gifted river. This is the afternoon of the fifth day after you fell into a coma."

"Brother Lynch, I’m so thirsty." The little angel attempted to turn over but was pressed down by Zilvra. The female Drow picked up a water bottle and placed it near Soka’s mouth: "Drink."

"You’re still very weak, don’t move around for now, just rest well." Lynch took a bunch of berries from his backpack and handed them to Soka’s small hand: "The two of us were worried you might not make it."

"Thank you!" Soka tossed the berries into her mouth with delight, chewing happily, then spat the seeds into the river, creating a series of ripples. A group of small fish surfaced, staring at the floating seeds.

The river Erutalon was as calm as a mirror, making it difficult to see its gentle flow. This tributary of the Fengduo River turned from within Haisas, flowing towards Moon. This river was filled with magic power, said to be imbued with the blessing spells of the elves. No matter how fierce the winds blew or storms raged, Erutalon remained equally gentle. Even if a flood rushed down the Fengduo River, no debris or silt could be seen pouring into this tributary.

Just as the elven traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years, this "God-gifted" river continued to flow as always. Elves often praised this river with the most beautiful poetry, as it brought vitality to their lives.

Soka lay comfortably on Zilvra’s lap, the soft, smooth "pillow" making her feel very relaxed. The berries in her hands and mouth exuded a tempting fragrance, and the sweet juice filled her mouth. A gentle breeze brushed her face, and the small boat swayed lightly. Although she felt weak all over, this lazy feeling was even more relaxing and pleasant. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Oh right? Where’s the shell-shaped ship?" Soka suddenly thought of the question: "I still want to eat fragrant fish."

"It doesn’t enter Moon’s territory, this is the elves’ land now." Lynch stroked Soka’s hair but looked at Zilvra: "Here, it is the land of the elves. We left Haisas this morning."

The female Drow naturally understood the mage’s meaning. Although no one would immediately classify her as a Dark Elf at first glance, if she wasn’t careful, she could still encounter danger in this territory.

Yet, despite this possibility, Zilvra never questioned the mage’s decision. Since Lynch brought her to this place, entering the Elf Kingdom was her fate. Zilvra looked at the mage, allowing him to guide her path with reassurance.

Lynch’s mind, however, was on other matters. As a creature who left the Underdark, particularly as a defecting Dark Elf, the most needed thing was the acceptance of surface dwellers. If Zilvra could only feel free by Lynch’s side while others saw her with hatred, then Zilvra was merely exchanging one cage for another, still imprisoned.

Therefore, in the Elf Kingdom, Lynch had much to do.

"Have I slept for so long? No wonder I’m so hungry." Soka smacked her lips and said: "I’m still a bit groggy, what happened these days, why did I sleep so long?"
