Chapter 830: Rowen’s Doom

Chapter 830

The shield was charged, stunning every single person there, including Rowen.

Brook was the first to snap out of the daze and quickly pointed the shield towards the leader of the Iron Fur clan.

Boom—!

A shockwave burst towards him with contained strength compared to the previous ones.

The attack landed, sending Rowen sliding a few inches backwards with a stunned look on his face.

Quickly recovering, he saw Judy appear before him with a thrust of her spear.

All he did was twist his body aside, dodging the spear smoothly before slamming his palm into her side and sending her sliding away from him.

Turning around, Brook was already before him and this time, he wasn’t here to block.

Swinging the shield, its sharp edges now streaked towards Rowen at full speed.

Jumping backwards, he avoided the strike by a wide margin before hurling his hand forward and sending twenty Ki swords flying towards them.

Brook darted in front with his shield, blocking the strikes which detonated loudly against his weapon.

Before he had the opportunity to set the shield down, Rowen was already in front of him with a powerful sole kick that smashed into the shield, sending Brook flying with it.

Twisting in the air, Brook pointed the shield towards the ground.

A blast occurred, shooting his whole form higher into the skies like a trampoline of some sort.

Cutting through the air was Gunther, who was currently on low fumes but still eager to take his revenge on the man before him for his brother’s condition.

However, it seemed as if they were being toyed with by the figure before them as he wasn’t even taking things seriously with them.

Where was the rain of hundreds of Ki swords?

Where was his destructive clan technique?

Nothing.

It was as if he deemed it pointless to use it against these ants before him.

If he used it, it would be a blemish on his reputation since they weren’t even worth it one bit.

Hence, he just kept dismantling them with raw brute strength, with the occasional charge of Ki here and there.

Nothing too major.

And for some strange reason, this irked the warriors to no end.

Still, they kept pushing. Kept attacking and fighting with all they got, especially Gunther and Judy.

Now, Brook could be seen crashing down from the skies after springing off with his shield.

He raised the weapon above his head, ready to bash it against Rowen’s skull.

When he got within range, Rowen just turned his palm in the warrior’s direction and sent a Ki blast flying his way.

Kicking the air behind him, Brook spun around sharply and swung his shield, smashing it against the leader’s hand with all the strength in him.

At the same time, Judy finally got her opening.

Her spear streaked through the air, its tip glowing with deadly energy and then,

Boom—!

A concentrated Ki beam burst out of the weapon, striking Rowen dead in the abdomen and forcing him to slide backwards.

Before the leader could strike Brook, the shield user twisted his wrist and hammered the shield into Rowen’s face, sending his head snapping to the side.

Crimson droplets splattered into the air.

Gunther froze at this scene.

Cogwheels spun in his head rapidly as a plan began formulating in his mind.

But unfortunately, it would only depend on one thing at this point.

Luck.

’I think I can defeat him. But if I miss, I will be dead in an instant.’

With eyes blazing hot, Rowen turned to glare at Brook only to see that it was Judy in his place with her spear jabbing towards his eye.

Of course, the strike didn’t land.

Twisting his head to the side, he punished her with a powerful punch to her face that sent blood spraying into the air and her body flying away like a broken doll.

Gunther waited. He refused to move as he held his swords together.

Gripping them tight, he began calmly swirling his Ki around.

Concentrating a meager amount to his feet while shifting forward subtly; then the rest was poured into his blades.

Brook, on the other hand, was alternating between offence and defence all alone.

With Judy now out of the fight from that single punch, he was barely scraping through to survive.

However, he had been fortunate so far because of his skill with the shield.

Each time a strike or blow headed his way, his shield was already out, forcing Rowen to always pull back and try another angle.

But still, the shield would always be in his path, allowing Brook to land some... minor hits that barely did anything.

Yet even those insignificant blows were slowly building pressure, testing the leader’s patience bit by bit as the battle dragged on.

Gunther was still moving slowly, searching for any opening he could exploit.

His teeth ground softly as he held back the urge to collapse from the exhaustion raging through his body.

But the sheer adrenaline coursing through him wasn’t about to let him fall to the ground... yet.

Leaping backwards to avoid another swing of the shield towards his head, Rowen paused.

’Huh?’ 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Twisting his head around, it looked like he was searching for something... for someone.

His eyes glided across the coliseum, but he was unable to see nor sense the person.

’... wait! Where did Drevor go? Why can’t I se—’

He froze.

Realization dawned on him as he caught sight of Rivock lying face flat on the ground, visibly still alive as his chest rose and fell faintly.

Off to the side, Drevor’s body... or what could be said was his body to begin with.

’Eh? Drevor los—?’

’There it is!’ Gunther shouted inwardly and with explosive speed, he shot forward with a thunderous bang.

The sound didn’t immediately register in Rowen’s ears as he was still confused about how his oldest son lost to his youngest.

Before he could process the thought, Gunther was already before him.

Ki flooded at once into both swords as he swung the first with all his might, catching Rowen off guard and biting into his neck, drawing droplets of blood.

Pushing the sword deeper with his entire strength, it dug further, tearing a small gash that made red mist erupt into the air.

Rowen’s eyes widened in shock, horror, confusion and at the same time; rage.

His hand twitched, ready to retaliate, when Brook came in from behind with his shield lighting up after being charged.

Booom—!

A shockwave smashed into the man’s back, sending him sliding forward and impaling himself harder on the sword.

Still, that wasn’t enough to take Rowen down as he called upon a hundred swords which hovered above their area with deadly force.

Gunther gnashed his teeth as he saw the blades rushing at him.

He lifted his second sword from the side, ready to counter, only to see a Ki longsword shooting to intercept the incoming attack.

Booom—!

Visible Ki erupted around Gunther’s sword in the form of a yellow flowing tide, enabling it to pass through the Ki longsword and then, with explosive strength, hack against the other side of Rowen’s head.

"You mother—"

"AAAAAAAAAAARGH! JUST DIE!"

Gunther bellowed into the air as blood burst out from his eyes, nose, ears and mouth while he poured out everything he had into his swords.

He had long since exhausted his Ki and was now drawing on his life force.

He didn’t care.

His swords glowed with overwhelming intensity.

The ground quaked, shuddering as if an earthquake was rumbling from below.

Debris billowed into the air and even the whole area began crackling with energy that Brook was unable to get close to.

Then with one final push,

TWIIIP—!

Rowen’s head came off, flying into the air with his body staggering forward, neck spritzing with blood while his Ki swords descending towards Gunther froze just an inch away from his head.

In one strike, they all disappeared as there was no more energy sustaining them.

THUD—! THUD—! THUD—!

Rowen’s head, body and Gunther smashed into the ground together, their blood flowing and forming a wide pool of crimson beneath them as the battlefield finally fell into a stunned silence.
