—Boom

From the sky, Sith rained down a barrage of explosive balls of blood light completely decimating the once beautiful grass terrain.

Charred ground, and decaying grasses. This blood light spell was a combination of very dangerous elements that destroyed life itself.

If it were to hit a body, it would rip it apart and turn it into rotten Corpse. Even with this—

He held back nothing, releasing everything that he had in order to put Leon down. Unfortunately, try as he may, he couldn’t manage to land a single hit on Leon.

—Boom

This wasn’t from a lack of trying or skill. The Issue was that Leon was too devious. To others the ground would be a limiting factor that would naturally impede movement, but not Leon.

Leon used the gathering to his advantage, sometimes hiding from attacks by appearing behind the main clans tables, or worse, the High Arbiter table.

Even if Sith decided to attack his own faction memebers, would he dare attack the High Arbiter?

There was no way in hell he would try that, Not a chance.

"Hehe, the kid has some morals at least" Leon smirked. While he watched Sith switch from dangerous flesh destroying spells, go tame spells like windSerpent arrows.

"But this will have to come to a stop sooner or later" Leon shook his head before changing positions once more.

This entire charade of his was to show the High Arbiter that he was competent enough and talented enough to be views as an asset. Quick wits, the ability to adapt in battle and everything that laid in between.

But all that was useless if he couldn’t also show that he was overwhelmingly powerful. So as the next attack came flying towards him, instead of dodging once again.

He took the sky and—

"Bloodserpent Site: Blood and serpent shrine"

In the blink of an eye, two balls of blood appeared above his head and from within them two projectiles came flying forward.

"Merge"

Between when Leon activated his Site and when the blood attribute and serpent attribute combine was a few nano seconds.

—Boom!!!!

Like a jet that had attained sonic speed, the blood Lance being coiled by red head serpents sped towards Sith with blinding speed.

The worse thing to happen to a level 3 warlock when in battle, is to watch the opponent activated an Attack type Site before you could open yours. This was simply because, these types of Site spells were practically undodgable because of their incredible speed.

Especially Leon.

—Boom

—Boom

As it closed the distance between it and Sith, it became faster. It looked like the further it streched the faster it would go as if picking up momentum from elongation.

This feature was definitely a unique one, making this attack to grow faster by the second.

"Shit!!" Siths eyes became wide as he watched this projectile dashing towards him. He didn’t even have the time to move talkless of activate a spell.

—Boom!!!

Luckily he had a protection treasure around his waste that’s immediately activated a rune encasing him in blood light energy. This wasn’t enough though as he was still sent falling to the ground.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"Hm?" Slowly opening his eyes, Sith carried himself from the floor and looked around.

The impact had knocked him out cold for more than a few seconds.

"This bastard!!" Gritting his teeth, he looked around and noticed Leon right above him looking down at him from the sky.

This position.....it was humiliating. How could he live this down? He had been utterly disgraced by a nobody from beyond the boonies.

"Diee!!!" Blood rushed through his body, he raised his hand up and said.

"BloodSerpent Site: Bloody Sprite light!"

All of a sudden, he was bathing in a blood red light and completely encased his figure. Not only that, this blood light also temporarily blinded everyone who peered into it in hopes of seeing him.

This Site, whatever it was, was unique and extremely dangerous.

"Enough"

Fortunately, before he could make a move. A voice resounded from a not so far away table and almost immediately the light disappeared.

"Hm thats unfair!!" Holding his hand outwards, Sith peered at the High Arbiter with a look of dissatisfaction.

If he had let him attack just then, maybe Leon here would have died. After all, losing one’s eyesight during battle was fatal.

"Unfair? What do you mean by unfair?" The High Arbiter asked neutrally.

"He had the chance to use his Site and when I tried to retaliate.....you stopped mine"

For the first time, Sith spoke to the High Arbiter disrespectfully. Not only calling his decisions wrong, but also bias. This was a huge accusation on the leader of the enforcement unit.

He was supposed to be the most just person in the clan, an accusation of bias was really serious, and could dent his reputation.

"Ohh? In a life or death battle your opponent will wait for you to wake up and attack with your Site so as to be fair? What a joke? Is this what you’re teaching him Korgan?" The High Arbiter squinted his brows and asked one of the Arbiter.

Siths master.

"I apologise on his behalf Sire, he is still a kid and has alot to learn" with a bow, Siths master bowed his head to the High Arbiter.

This match ended when Leon knocked him unconscious. In a real battle, If he wanted to kill him then, that would be it.

There would be no do overs, he wouldn’t even know how he died.

"Hmmm, its not as if you would be able to win either way" the High Arbiter said under his breath.

One of the Strong points of Siths Site was his ability to temporarily blind his opponents. But from what he could see, Leon wasn’t affected by this effect even when the Site was activated, Leon just stared at him like a lamb to the slaughter.

If Sith had tried to kill Leon at thatmoment, he didn’t know what might have happened If Leon retaliated.

"The Winner is Leon Alduwin of the eldoria branch!!"

The High Arbiter announced Leon as the winner. A match had been fought, and a winner had to be picked, this was only the rules. He didn’t make them.

"Kid, come have a seat opposite me" after which he beckoned Leon towards the high table causing alot of dissatisfaction from amongst the main clan memebers.

It looked like the High Arbiter like every other higher up favored the outer clansman too much.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

"Congratulations little Alduwin boy, you are truly a talent" Next to the High Arbiter, a fairly aged man said to Leon.

"Hm? You falter me too much elder" Leon turned to the man and bowed.

He didn’t know who this guy was, but judging from his life energy output, this guy was definitely a level 4 existence equal to the High Arbiter....or even higher.

"Hehe, the young shall grow" the old man said then turned back to cup of purple tea infront of him. It was murky and sticky for tea, but it was in the traditional tea cup so Leon didn’t know what to think of it.

"Excuse me old friend, I and the Alduwin boy have something to talk about" The High Arbiter slowly stood up and said to his friend before pressing his hand on Leon’s shoulder.

Soon, they stood up and walked off into the grassland that seemed to span a couple miles.

The wind was gentle and the grasses swayed beautifully, as a tall man in black robes led a young man through its blades.

"Such a beautiful sight" Leon commented trying to break the ice. The High Arbiter wanted to speak to him, but people of such a high status would often than not need someone to steer the conversation in the right path.

"Hehe, yes it is." The High Arbiter smiled but only gave a simple answer. Then they continued walking deeper and deeper Into the grassland with no words exchanged.

Until finally,

"This is far enough" the High Arbiter said abruptly, Then he turned to look at Leon.

Both eyes stared at each other deeply waiting for one to make a move. Finally....

—soul

Leon felt a wave of soul energy bath him from all over as the High Arbiter suddenly tried to oppress him.

But for some reason, even though Leon could feel what the High Arbiter was trying to do, he didn’t feel the least be suppressed.

Leon didn’t understand, maybe it was because of his status as a sorcerer or maybe it was the soul of the level 5 existence from eldoria. Leon didn’t know....

One thing was clear though, Leon’s suspicions were correct, The High Arbiter was also a Sorcerer.

"Hmmm, I see" with a smile that was not a smile, the High Arbiter looked at Leon fondly. He hadn’t met someone on this path for a very long time, it was pleasing to see.
